Each of our dental assistants is registered with the state of Arkansas. They bring professionalism, competence, and friendliness to your dental experience at Criswell Clinic Family Dentistry. They can answer many of your questions before you are introduced to the dentist of your choice. They can address any concerns you may have, or bring them to the attention of the dentist for you if you would find that more comfortable. They will take any necessary x-rays and assist the dentist in his examination and treatment of you. Our dental assistants are also available for phone calls should questions come to mind after your visit.
Established by Dr. Billy Criswell in 1962, Criswell Clinic Family Dentistry serves the people of Van Buren and the surrounding area. Our friendly staff provides comprehensive and affordable dental services in a family-like atmosphere.
Dr. Criswell graduated from Van Buren High School with honors, Hendrix College with distinction and the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 1988 with honors. He immediately began practice at Criswell Clinic Family Dentistry following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Billy Criswell. He provides general dentistry for both children and adults. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arkansas State Dental Association, the Fort Smith Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Orthodontic Society. Dr. Criswell, along with his wife, Tamara, and four children reside in Van Buren. He practices at both our locations.
Dr. Douglas graduated from Alma High School, Quachita Baptist University, and upon graduation from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 1977 joined Criswell Clinic Family Dentistry in the practice of general dentistry for both children and adults. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arkansas State Dental Association, and the Fort Smith Dental Association. He lives in Alma with his wife, Charlotte, newly elected Arkansas State Representative. They are the parents of four grown children. Dr. Douglas practices at our Main Street office.
Dr. Pardo was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended the University of Arkansas for his undergraduate degree, and graduated from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in 2016. He then completed a General Practice Residency at UAMS in Little Rock. His residency focused on advanced procedures, including implants and periodontal surgery, and dental care for medically compromised patients. This program also allowed him to practice at Arkansas Childrens Hospital, where he gained experience in treating children with special needs in the clinic and operating room. He provides general dentistry for adults and children.

Love this dental office, they treat you like family and make you feel very comfortable, they are gentle the staff is amazingly helpful, and they have the state of the art dental equipment .I would recommend this office to everyone who wants a forever dental practice . I'm so blessed I found them.

The whole staff was friendly and took care of my issues quickly. My teeth look better than they have in a long time, and seeing them after the visit makes me happy. Got answers and chat for questions I had, and appointments for needed procedures were quickly arranged. Fantastic service, highly recommend.

Super good. Highly recommend. The girl who did my xray and teeth cleaning was awesome. Very nice. The dentist was awesome too she came in checked my teeth and got me in and out.

I really enjoy my appointments at Criswell Clinic. They are so professional and friendly. My Hygienist Holly always insures that I am comfortable several times during the cleanings. I would highly recommend Criswell Clinic to anyone.

While driving through Ft Smith with my son on an "end of the summer" road trip we realized that his dentist accidentally left a sharp piece of metal sticking out after an adjustment. The metal was cutting the inside of his mouth and he was in a lot of pain. I decided to try a few area dentists and Criswell was quick to say they would help us out. They got is in, found the issue and had it corrected in 10 minutes. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable, they even proactively fixed a few other potential areas that could cause pain. They truly saved our road trip. Thank You!
