Dr. Roslyn Moore Crisp has more than 38 years of experience in dentistry. She knew from a very early age that dentistry was her career ambition. A native of Burlington, Dr. Crisp graduated from Walter M. Williams High School. Following high school, she attended and graduated cum laude from Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga. After receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University Of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry, she remained in Chapel Hill and completed a residency program, and received a Master of Science degree in pediatric dentistry. She further distinguished herself by becoming a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Crisp is the proud mother of two sons, Dr. H. Alexander Crisp and Dr. Benjamin G. Crisp. Her hobbies and interests are varied. She enjoys music, art, travel, and sports. Most of all, she enjoys learning new things. She is passionate about giving back to the community through volunteer efforts, especially as they pertain to the improvement of dental health.
Jennifer Crisp Dr. Jenn is originally from Raleigh, NC and is a Tar Heel through and through! She completed her undergraduate studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, and then got her Master of Science in Biology from NC Agricultural and Technical State University. She then returned to UNC Adams School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at UNC Hospitals where she worked with medically compromised adult and child patients with complex dental treatment needs. During this time, she realized she enjoyed working with all patients, but her true calling was working with children. She returned to UNC Adams School of Dentistry to the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, receiving her Master of Science degree and Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. With her experience from her general practice and pediatric dental residencies, she will offer a full scope of clinical knowledge to the practice with her gentle and loving approach. Dr. Jenn also has the distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Jenn always says if she were not a dentist, she would be a teacher because of her natural love for children. However, she knew she wanted to be a dentist from a very young age. Being a pediatric dentist allows her to combine her dream and her passion. She is humbled and thrilled to be entrusted to take care of children in the practice of Roslyn M. Crisp, DDS, MS, P.A. and Associates. She is looking forward to being back in the Burlington community. In her free time, you can find Dr. Jenn spending time with her husband, Alex, and her daughter. You can usually find them spending time outside or enjoying one of their favorite hobbies- cooking! She is also an animal lover and hopes to add a dog to her family at some point in the near future!
Dr. Melissa Jackson, known around the office as Dr. Missy, joined Roslyn Crisp and Associates in Sept. 2019. Dr. Missy has been practicing dentistry for fourteen years with 12 of those years solely in pedodontics. Dr. Missy always knew shed be a doctor of some kind as a natural people person who loves caring for others. When a professor from alma mater, Saint Augustines University, recommended dentistry, she knew immediately this would be the perfect fit, caring for one of a persons most prized possessions, their smile! While matriculating at Temple Universitys Kornberg School of Dentistry, Dr. Missys interest in pediatric dentistry grew immensely leading to a career in repairing and maintaining growing smiles. Dr. Missy is happiest seeing a fearful, tearful face turn to a fearless, happy smile!
When not giving tickles to tiny and growing teeth, you can find Dr. Missy juggling between dance and gymnastics with husband Lee and daughters, Zyah and McClaren. Dr. Jackson also enjoys exploring parks, shopping, and staying abreast of the latest education of pediatric dentistry!
Dr. Gayla Bivens was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from Hunter Huss High School in Gastonia, North Carolina. She received her bachelors degree in biology from North Carolina Central University and attended dental school at the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry. After graduating, Dr. Gayla moved to the triad area and joined Dr. Roslyn Crisp and the team. Her lifelong love for children is what brought this general dentist into a pediatric setting 16 years ago. Dr. Gayla has devoted her dental career to taking the fear and anxiety out of the dental experience for both the young patient and the parents.
Her educational approach provides parents with the knowledge and emotional support to introduce healthy dental habits at an early age. Dr. Gaylas love for children does not just stop in the dental office it carries over into her personal life. As a Lifetime Girl Scout member, she currently serves as a troop leader, she is an active volunteer with the youth department and nursery ministry at her church.
Some of Dr. Gaylas favorite things are enjoying football, musicals, singing & dancing, jigsaw puzzles, and anything Disney! But her all-time favorite thing is being a mother to her only daughter, Nyla.
Dr. Gayla is a very family-oriented person and she brings that family spirit right into the dental office daily, from the staff to the patients. After your experience with Dr. Gayla you will feel like you just added a new member to the family.

My children were immediately at ease at Crisp & Associates Pediatric Dentistry! The waiting room is spacious and welcoming with a kid friendly aesthetic like colorful chairs, a forest canopy ceiling and a television. Our wait time was short and all of our paperwork was processed before we arrived. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. My kids and I love Dr. Bivens! She was extremely personable and communicated really well with my children. Highly recommend this office for all of your pediatric dentistry needs!

The staff are so kind & patient. Not only was my child nervous about his first appointment, I was as well. Dr. Crisp made the appointment fun! They gave me reassurance & tips to help make brushing teeth fun & easier for my toddler!

Took my 4-year-old great grandson to have several teeth done. Everyone was so nice and the young man that talked to Maverick made him feel at ease so much that when he came back to get him, Maverick walked right out with him without begging me to come. If you need a great dentist for your kids, this is the best place to go!!!

Excellent! Thank you for thinking of EVERYONE and requiring masks. My kids as well as myself have health issues that if exposed would be detrimental. My 6yr old had her tooth pulled and came out smiling and laughing, and my teen enjoyed her visit as well! It says alot when kids enjoy visiting the dentist!

Terrible as far as the waiting time. If I'm expected to be there 10 15 minutes early then I don't expect to wait an hour and then some for my kids to be seen. Front desk person isn't welcoming at all. The dentist are nice.

My son had oral surgery at alamance regional this morning and Dr . Crisp helped to ease any anxiety my husband and I had. She thoroughly explained the procedure to us. To put the icing on the cake she was able to save three of our sons teeth during the procedure that we were prepared to lose other wise! We recommend Dr. Crisp for all of your child's dental needs.

I came from high point kids smiles... Terrible experience which involved my 2 1/2 year old son passing out crying during the most brutal xray. In this instant I was referred to Dr. Rosllyn M Crisp and it was the miracle my son was looking for. They took the fear right out of him.. Fixed all his teeth work. Made corrections to things I as a parent needed to be doing for my son at home to help care for his teeth better. And they made the whole experience FUN and CALM. No place better to take your young CHILDREN. This is a 5 star dentist by far. The whole crew from this office is professional and courteous.. Again by far the BEST of the BEST.. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Extremely kid friendly place. My 2 year old gets anxiety when he is at the doctor or dentist getting examined. They are great with him. Love it and will continue going there for my child dental needs.

We LOVE Dr. Gayla. We moved to Graham almost 3 years ago my kiddo fell in love with her immediately. I refuse to see anyone else. Dr. R. Crisp is also very nice. The only issue I have is the parking lot of the Vaugh rd location you must have perfect balance to make it to the door.

The longest wait time I've ever experienced. We were on time for our 7a appt. At 7:22 I asked when my child would be seen, the desk receptionist told me in about another 15 minutes . Absurd! I scheduled the first appt of the day for a reason.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the care that was shown during our visit. My daughter was so nervous, that she cried. However, by the time she met the doctors and nurses she was ready to have a great visit!! Thank you for everything.
