My father started Criscione Family Dentistry in 1968. My dad loved his profession and enjoyed a long and successful career in Lake Oswego. Dad valued providing quality dentistry to his patients who often became his friends. After graduating from OHSU in 1989, I joined his practice. To this day, I continue to treat patients that started with him many years ago and the following generations of those families. We are proud to continue his tradition of quality and affordable dentistry to the Lake Oswego community. Dad and I practiced together until his death in 2004. He was my mentor, my father, and my best friend. The staff, associates, and I are honored to provide the same quality dentistry to our patients in a practice that proudly bears his name.
We moved to our new location at Sunset Crossing in December 2016.We are excited to be here and to continue the rich tradition of caring for the Lake Oswego community. Leaving our Mercantile location was bittersweet, but the new office is welcoming and comfortable. We look forward to serving you here.
Michael Criscione is a graduate of the Oregon Health and Sciences University School of Dentistry and attended Oregon State University. He is a Lakeridge High School graduate and has been practicing dentistry since 1989.
Dr. Criscione is licensed by the Oregon Board of Dentistry and is an active member of the American Dental Association and Oregon Dental Association. With over twenty-eight years of dental experience in private practice, Dr. Criscione has dedicated himself to his patients, community, and profession. With detailed and comprehensive patient care as his primary focus, Dr. Criscione enjoys providing many aspects of general dentistry to his community, ranging from restorative and prosthodontic procedures to oral surgery and selected endodontics. He has always made his priorities staying up-to-date in technology, news, and developmental techniques within the dental community to better serve his patients.
Residing in the area, Dr. Criscione actively supports the schools, sports, arts, and local businesses. He and his wife have volunteered their services for the Give Kids a Smile program. Dr. Mike and his wife spend as much time as possible with their two adult sons.
Dr. Criscione enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and three dogs, Molly, Edgar, and Remi. They love hiking and exploring everything the great Northwest has to offer. He also really enjoys working outdoors and fixing cars!

The Criscione Family Dental is the best dental experience (!) I have ever had. The hygienist is so skilled I hardly know I have had my teeth cleaned (except my tongue knows.) Dr. Criscione is very professional and easy to work with

We have been coming over 22 years. We have had many crown's and procedures done all in a premium fashion. The staff is exceptional and things like the new text process make sure we remember and can be on time. The new office is modern and friendly. We highly recommend them. Dr. Sype and Tawny made a normally unpleasant experience almost enjoyable. I have avoided going to any dentist for years due to my fear of dentistry. Tawny is experienced in working with anxious patients and her compassion and skills are remarkable. Together, they make a phenomenal team that I trust and will continue to seek services from. I can't say enough about how much I love Criscione Family Dental. I have been a patient since 1993 and I will never leave. I feel treated with respect, compassion, and caring by highly-skilled professionals that I trust (which is saying a lot!). The support staff are wonderful also. Dr. Mike is the absolute best.
