My wife and I moved to Delaware a bit over a year ago and needed a dentist near to where we were living. Crescent Dental had good reviews so I got an appointment. The office staff was nice and the practice seemed well run. However, when I went back for my cleaning, I was in and out in under 15 minutes for an initial appointment. This included time for the cleaning, X-rays, and for a dentist to perform their final inspection. This all seemed very fast and not thorough. As well, during the cleaning, the dental technician flossed behind a retaining wire the wrong way showcasing a lack of training. Despite this, I booked a second appointment to give them a second chance. However, this appointment proceeded similarly to the first. After this, I switched dentists. That dentist, only 6 months after my last appointment with Crescent Dental, found four cavities that needed filling. Given that I had not changed my diet or dental habits, it seems unlikely that so many cavities would have formed so quickly. I speculate, though cannot prove, that some of these were likely missed by the associates at Crescent Dental. I do not recommend people attend this practice. Edit after seeing the practice's response: There is quite a large amount of not-so-subtle shade being thrown in the practice's response. First, I would note that this comes off as not very professional, especially given that there is a similar amount of snark given to other peoples' negative responses. I understand the desire to defend the business. However, this business does go over the top on that for every negative review, never accepting any bit of fault. Further, discussion of a patient's private x-ray results on a public forum is not professional either. Second, I will give some follow-up to the practice's comments. My new dentist, like my old dentist and unlike your practice, took the time to show me my X-rays as well as show me pictures of the carious teeth. It is easy to be trusting when presented with evidence. If you placed those teeth on to a "monitor list", I was not told so that I could give them extra care. However, to your credit, a few other locations in my mouth were placed on a monitor list and discussed with me, and I appreciate the minimally invasive mindset. The new dentist noted the minor lesions you all told me about and said that it would be better to wait to treat, falling in line with the minimally invasive philosophy. I acknowledge that you say that the new patient exam is 1 hour, but that was not my experience. My manager was surprised when I came back to the office early. In general, I believe your hygienists are capable. However, the manner in which the hygienist flossed behind my retaining wire on the first visit was not correct and was, frankly, quite surprising. She took a floss threader and passed it between the teeth at the gumline. The hygienist then pushed the floss threader through to the back-side and pulled the floss straight through. She did not move the floss up-and-down at all to clean between the teeth above the gumline or the surface of the teeth below the gumline. My second hygienist performed this correctly, however. Finally, since you left a snarky response, I will add on one final note to my review that I was originally going to omit. I had an appointment scheduled for mid-October which I scheduled when I left my appointment in April. The day before that appointment, I called to confirm it was still occurring since I hadn't gotten the usual confirmation call. The associate who took my call was polite but informed me that there was no appointment scheduled and that my profile had actually been deactivated. Thinking that the deactivation was because I hadn't been to your practice recently, the associate asked when I had last attended. I responded that I had attended in April but that my wife had recently left the practice. Crescent Dental had, apparently, deactivated both of our accounts instead of just my wife's account. I understand that mistakes happen, but this was very frustrating and minimal apology was given.

Amazing!! I'he always had high anxiety seeing dentist but Lindsey was Fantastic, Understanding and Very experienced Hygentist. The Dentist was super friendly, patient amd explained everything that I would need done and prepared the best treatment plan. I'm very pleased with the serviced I received today.
