Dr. Nathaniel Williams, originally from Las Vegas, attended UNLV obtaining a bachelors degree in Chemistry in 2008 and graduated Cum Laude with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2011. He was commissioned into Active-Duty service with the US NAVY upon graduation. He attended a General Practice Residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, working as a general dentist for several years, and completing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in our Nations Capital. Serving in the heart of our Nation and helping to heal our Heroes was a great privilege and experience. He achieved and maintains current board certification with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. While stationed in Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Williams and his family fell in love with North Florida and have made this their home. Completing 10 years of service with the Navy, including humanitarian deployments to much of South America, Dr. Williams has now transitioned to civilian practice and brings a wealth of clinical excellence and experience for his patients.
Dr. Williams practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, specializing in: IV Sedation, extractions, removal and management of wisdom teeth, dental implants, zygomatic dental implants, craniofacial implants, bone grafting, sinus lifts, nerve lateralization, facial reconstruction, pre-prosthetic surgery, orthognathic surgery, TMJ management and joint replacement, sleep apnea appliances and surgery, biopsies, cosmetic surgery and Botox.
After remarkable advances in dentistry in recent years, dental implants have become a treatment of choice for people missing one, a few, or all of their teeth, and for those with failing teeth or severe periodontal disease. Dental implants look and perform more like natural teeth. They are rooted in the bone, there is no artificial plastic on the roof of the mouth, and the need for adhesives and denture creams is eliminated. More importantly, the use of dental implants does not impact healthy, adjacent teeth.
Dental implants are long-lasting tooth root replacements that oral surgeons implant into the jawbone to simulate the root of a pre-existing tooth. For qualified patients, replacement teeth then can be restored immediately, returning a spectacular smile quickly-usually on the same day. Unlike dentures or bridges, dental implants don't move or shift, and they can last a lifetime.
A dental implant designed to replace a single tooth is composed of three parts: the titanium implant that fuses with the jawbone; the abutment, which fits over the portion of the implant that protrudes from the gum line; and the crown, which is created by a Prosthodontist (a specialist in the treatment planning and restoration or replacement of missing teeth) and fitted onto the abutment for a natural appearance.
In 1952, Prof. Per-Ingvar Brnemark of Sweden conducted an experiment where he utilized a titanium implant to better understand blood flow in bone. At the conclusion of the experiment, he discovered that the bone had integrated completely with the implant. Brnemark called the discovery 'osseointegration,' and saw the possibilities for human use.
Modern-day implantology was invented in 1965 when Brnemark treated Gsta Larson, a patient who was missing teeth due to severe chin and jaw deformities. Larsson was the first person in the world to receive titanium dental implants.
After years of careful research and study, dental implants were refined with high success rates. There are patients now who have had implant-supported teeth for more than 40 years! Dental implants have come a long way, and more than 1.7 million dental implants were placed in 2006. With almost 50 years of clinical research and an overall success rate of about 96%, dental implants are frequently the best treatment option for replacement of missing teeth.

I will never go back nothing but a rip off had to pay $142.00 up front even before saw the dentist. Went to have crown put back on said could not do it but would pull it for inflated price Got the tooth fix else were at fair price and no rip off of $142 up front.

I'm very afraid of the dentist and I have bad teeth!! The front receptionist was very nice and kind! The Dr was very sweet and took her time to explain all to me!! Made sure I was numb enough!! Very gentle with two extractions!! I would recommend them for sure!!

Everyone there is wonderful. They were patient with me, very clear on my choices. They went over all the procedures with me and pricing as well. I knew exactly what to expect and the cost. The dentist was very gentle, and there was no pain. This was the first time visit and they fit me in for a procedure. I will keep coming back here. Highly recommend them.

I called to schedule a check-up. They booked me an appointment for the very next day. They also texted a link to my phone that allowed me to fill out the new patient forms electronically. I was able to complete these quickly and easily beforehand, so there was no waiting around once I arrived. Lucy was super friendly and did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. She was also very thorough in explaining my x-rays. Furthermore, the dentist offers affordable monthly payment plans with low down payments for any current and/or future services needed. I would definitely recommend Crescent City Dentists!!

First time, first visit and discovered on line. Had to have tooth distracted and felt NO pain! The practice was extremely clean and the staff so pleasant and professional! Upon talking to other patients, they spoke nothing but good things, having to travel a distance then I did! They have a yearly great plan for payment of services for those w/o insurance! Believe it or not, I have no fear in continuing with my dental work here!! Thank you Dr. Hage for being so gentle! Need a dentist, recommended highly!! I just went to have my first molar pulled and I felt no pain, still haven't! (3 days later) I expected the worst, but turned out fine. Thank you Dr. for being so gentle and professional! (The first visit we surveyed was for my husband)
