A life of service has been a foundational part of what my family instilled in me from an early age. Having received a psychology degree prior to becoming a dentist, my practice philosophy revolves around incorporating elements of psychology into my approach.
Providing quality dental care while keeping my patients comfortable, relaxed, and in a trusting environment is a cornerstone of what I strive to provide for my patients. An overall pleasant dental and social experience for our patients is fundamental in my opinion. This is what keeps me excited and ambitious about my profession, how I serve, and how I show up everyday.
I also work on eliminating the dread that often comes to most patients prior to a dental visit. As a result of these positive encounters, my patients look forward to visiting us routinely for their dental care needs, allowing us to help them retain optimal oral health and appearance.
I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) with honors from Nova Southeastern University School of Dentistry in Florida. I have also received a bachelors in Psychology at the University of California San Diego. I started my career servicing underserved communities and have been in private practice in California for close to 10 years now.
I participate in several advanced workshops and trainings each year on the latest dental techniques, equipment and materials. I aim to stay at the forefront of cosmetic, restorative, and preventative dentistry.
I am happily married to my best friend of 15 years and we have two little boys together named Diyar and Tiam. I really enjoy being an active mom and the challenge of raising good humans. During my free time, I enjoy cooking, camping, exploring new places, hiking, skiing, spinning and of course good wine. Being an active member of the community and giving back however way possible is something I enjoy. I strive to be a good example for the next generation.
My ultimate goal as a dentist is to create the most natural looking smile that feels good and lasts as long as possible. I have been so fortunate to make a difference in so many patients lives through the art of dentistry. Being in this unique position and having an ongoing relationship with so many people has allowed me to see life in motion. I've enjoyed my exchanges and learned immensely from my extended family of patients. I have watched children grow up and bring their own children to the practice. I genuinely appreciate the trust and the confidence that my patients have in me and my staff. It has been quite a journey and certainly a joy.
I have always envisioned myself in the healthcare field and taking care of people, and dentistry has allowed me to fulfill this dream with a passion. Through this amazing journey, my path has crossed with some incredible people, both the patients in my practice and the team I work with every day.
I attended the University of the Pacific in San Francisco for my dental education, earning my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. For over 26 years, I have enjoyed practicing in the Vacaville area and seeing the smiling faces of my patients when they are satisfied with their dental experience.
I take multiple continuing education classes a year to enhance my professional and clinical knowledge. I enjoy learning and sharing my expertise with patients. Participating in continuing education allows me to keep abreast with the latest technology to help my patients achieve the best oral health they can possibly attain.
I am happily married to my husband and practice partner, Reza. We have one son named Darian and a dog named Dino. When I have free time I enjoy many outdoor activities including water and snow skiing and swimming. I find reading relaxing and enjoyable. Yoga and meditation is a big part of my life. My community is very important to me and I have been involved in local schools, community-based organizations, and overseas organizations benefiting children
Although my formal education is complete, I view my profession as a lifelong learning opportunity, and enjoy attending classes and seminars on subjects that would positively affect my patients.
