Raised in Vancouver, WA, Dr. David Hanson grew up watching his father practice dentistry. During high school, his interest in the profession was piqued while working in a dental lab. Upon graduation he attended Oregon State University, where he received his BS degree, and then he earned his DDS degree from the University of Washington.
After completing dental school in 1988, Dr. Hanson practiced dentistry exclusively with his father for two and a half years. In 2004, he moved his practice to Salmon Creek, where he has practiced ever since.
Dr. Hanson is dedicated to ongoing education. He has maintained a membership in Gnathology Northwest dental study group for 20 years and a membership with Seattle Study club for 15 years, and he regularly attends those meetings as well as additional dental continuing-education opportunities.
Janine has been a dental hygienist for 30 years. She graduated from the University of MinnesotaDuluth in 1985 and worked in Minnesota for 7 years prior to moving to Vancouver in 1993. After completing the Washington State Board Janine then started working for Dr. David Hanson and his father.
As a dental hygienist at Creekside Dental, Janine appreciates the quality of the people she gets to work with and the generous amount of time she is given to attend to her patients. In her free time, she loves indulging in everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer with her family.
After graduating from Clark College in 1987, Jennifer worked for a periodontist for two years. In 1989, she began working for Dr. Hanson and his father, and she moved to Creekside Dental in 2007. Jennifer enjoys working in a small family environment and treating generations of patients from families who have chosen to stay with the practice.
Mandy graduated from Dental Assisting College with honors in 2005 and started working for Dr. Hanson soon after. She is EFDA certified and regularly participates in continuing-educational courses each year. For Mandy, no two days at Creekside Dental are alike. She enjoys delivering personalized care to each patient and appreciates the variety of experiences her job affords her.

Great customer service. I had some tough questions for the receptionist and she was able to provide quick information and handled it like a champion. My checkup was quick and professional and trust this team with my teeth!

when i moved up here to salmon creek. i was looking for a new dentist. I found that Creekside had 5 star review and so i gave them a shot. I been going to them for the last 1+years now. what has upset me is when i got a bill for a cleaning. I called Creekside to find out why i am being billed for a cleaning when it is free thru insurance. She told me that my insurance changed and that they don't take my insurance anymore. I asked why no one told me this. She came back to me. telling me that its not their job to tell me if there are changes in my insurance. I went WHAT!!! So, i called my old dentist who i was with for over 15years. told him the story and he told me that it is their job to tell me of any changes in my insurance. So first, the lady i talked to. Just lied to me and all they wanted was my money not doing things right. So watch out. they will blame you for their short comings. find someone who will work with you and not lied to you. Very disappointing.

They recommended Dr. Hanson for the excellent crown prep that he does. Since I wasn't blessed with good teeth, it was essential for me to find a highly competent and professional dentist. Dr. Hanson goes above and beyond to listen to a patient's concerns, recommend other top professionals when needed for additional services, and calm all fears. He has helped me to have a much more functional and attractive bite. His staff is superb: they are friendly, gentle, understanding, highly professional, and just as nice as can be. In fact, I know of retired dental hygienists who choose Creekside Dental. I highly recommend this practice.

My family and I have been patients here for 17+ years and never had a more professional dental office than what we have with Creekside Dental. Everyone in the office is always friendly and extremely talented. I've had my share of dishonest dentists, so much, that I had become skeptical of the entire dental trade. Dishonest dentists would, on almost every visit, say that I needed a cavity to be filled, or the like. You wouldn't question them because they were the "professional" and you expected them to honestly tell you what needed to be done. Besides, you couldn't see very well inside your mouth, so they could tell you anything they wanted. It felt as if I was getting blindsided. Until I met Janine, the hygienist who worked for Dr. Hanson. She told me about Dr. Hanson, how talented and conscientious he was about his work in the dental field. We had just moved to the Salmon Creek area and I was, begrudgingly, looking for a family dentist. It turns out that Creekside Dental Office was just down the street from our new house...bonus!! I took Janine's advice and booked an appointment with them. What I noticed first was how friendly the front staff (Sally) was and how comfortable she made me. Janine took me back to clean my teeth and I was impressed by how maticulous she was with the cleaning. Dr. Hanson's hygienists don't just clean your teeth. They inspect and measure the condition of the gums around your teeth. Furthermore, they gave me instructions on "how" to brush my teeth and advice on how to manage my gum line. Never in my past has anyone ever told me the proper way to brush my teeth! With every subsequent hygienist appointment, they would tell me the condition of my teeth/gums, how to clean it better and why it was important to have good teeth/gums because it was good for your overall health! Dr. David Hanson, a very friendly and unassuming dentist. When it came to looking at my teeth, he performed a very comprehensive exam and inspection.(He even looked around and underneath my tongue, which no dentist has ever done before!) Furthermore, he even delved into the rest of my health and other medical conditions, and what medicines I was taking. When Dr. Hanson was concerned about something, he would bring out his oral scope and show you on the pc monitor where the disease was. I especially appreciated that... Gives me trust and belief in Dr. Hanson's skills and diagnostic abilities, and not some sham trying to take my money. The entire staff is amazing... always there when you need something (or need a reschedule! :D ) I've been going here for so long, I feel like family! Shoutouts to Jennifer, Mandy an Robin! This dental office is TOP NOTCH! Best in the Pacific NW. Without a doubt, a FIVE STAR rating...

Dr. Hansen and his team are excellent at their profession. Our family has been patients for more than 10 years. Personally, the care and direction I have received, have reversed gum health issues. I have only had 2 cavities in my life, but the gum health issue was something I didn't understand and they helped empower me to improve my dental health. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a dental provider.

Dr. Hanson and his whole are awesome. They are always friendly, professional, and competent. My crown came loose this weekend, a crown I've had more than 10 years and put in by another dentist, Dr. Hanson worked me in first thing Monday morning and repaired it in less than 45 minutes!

Dr. Hansen and his team are excellent at their profession. Our family has been patients for more than 10 years. Personally, the care and direction I have received, have reversed gum health issues. I have only had 2 cavities in my life, but the gum health issue was something I didn't understand and they helped empower me to improve my dental health. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a dental provider.

My husband and I love Creekside Dental for ourselves so when we had children we also took them to Creekside (instead of an specific children's dental clinic) and I'm SO glad we did! This was my sons third time going to visit Dr. Hanson and Linzie, he absolutely loves going because he thinks the cleaning tickles and Linzie is always so relatable to him. She even remembered he wants to be a chef and his favorite thing to cook at home. This time was my daughter's first time at the dentist and she was a little nervous, Linzie set up a chair so my daughter had a great view of her brothers cleaning and while she worked on Gabriel she explained everything so my daughter understood what would be happening on her cleaning. When it was my daughter's turn in the chair she let Linzie and Dr. Hanson get through the whole cleaning and exam because she felt so comfortable. I'm so happy I brought my kids to Creekside Dental!
