JoAnn has a BS in Dental Hygiene from the University of Nebraska. She is passionate about helping her patients maintain a healthy mouth. If she had a specialty, it would be working with individuals with special needs. In her spare time JoAnn likes to hike, do crafts, and try to keep up with her two teen girls.
Darlene grew up on a farm here in SD. She received her Dental Assisting training at Mid Plains Vo-tec in North Platte, NE, and then moved to Kentucky for 37 years. She moved back to SD several years ago to be closer to her large family. She is a nationally certified and state registered dental assistant. She loves helping people stay healthy and in her free time she enjoys visiting with family, singing, reading, and playing card games.
Jessica is the newest member of our practice, serving as our Patient Coordinator. She is married with 2 children, and recently moved to Rapid City from Oregon. She has worked in the dental field and customer care for 15 years. In her spare time, she likes to cook, spend time with friends and family, traveling and exploring new areas around Rapid City.
Leanne started her career in 2003. She earned her Registered Dental Assistant license in 2007, and is currently serving as our Treatment Coordinator. When asked what she enjoys most, she states that she really enjoys helping patients maximize their insurance benefits to maintain a healthy mouth. She has 4 children and loves spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking and just enjoying the beautiful black hills.
Ame earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of South Dakota in 1993. She has been serving the patients at Creative Smile Designs since 2012. In 2017, her passion to help people drove her to open Black Hills Orofacial Myology as a part time business. In 2019, she became the first Orofacial Myologist in SD to earn the designation of QOM, Qualified Orofacial Myologist, and earned the COM or Certified Orofacial Myologist from the International Association of Orofacial Myology. I enjoy collaborating with other professionals for the good of our patients. Outside of the dental world, Ame enjoys camping, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and hiking in the Black Hills. She is a member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology, American Dental Hygienists Association, the South Dakota Dental Hygienists Association, the American Laser Study Club and is active in her church.
