Pediatric dentists specialize in treating the unique needs of infants, children, teens and patients with special health care needs. After completing four years of dental school, pediatric dentists go on to complete an additional two to three years of specialty training.

Dr. Annie was born and raised in Lumberton, North Carolina. Growing up with big dreams of being on Broadway, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied vocal performance and acting. Following her graduation, she moved to New York City as a musical theatre actress and performed in numerous professional productions around the country. Some of her favorite roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella in Into the Woods. There, she met her talented, tap-dancing husband in a production of Singin' in the Rain where they co-starred in together!
She also sang with the USO Show Troupe, performing for our U.S. military both in the states and overseas. It was during her first visit to Walter Reed Hospital that she felt a strong calling to medicine, as she stood and sang bedside to a 22 year old father who had been injured in action. His courage and purpose inspired her to return to school and begin studying a pre-med curriculum that would one day grant her admission to dental school. She went on to become a Doctor of Dental Surgery back at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and received her Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry at the NYU Langone Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Today, Dr. Annie couldnt feel more excited to plant roots in Winston-Salem and serve the wonderful families of our community as the founder of Creative Kids. She absolutely loves working with children and brings her passion for music and the arts to every patient encounter. If you wonder why she knows the words to every Disney princess song, it's because shes a proud mom to three young girls who love all things Disney! It's also because shes a big kid at heart. Shes committed to walking alongside you and your child with unwavering support, making each patient experience memorable and informative for the whole family.
When shes not treating little smiles, you can find her playing the piano, eating her husband's incredible cooking, coaching youth soccer for her daughter's YMCA team, and treasuring quality time with her family.

Uplifting children by way of creativity, inclusion, and kindness is central to our practice. Thats why were super excited to team up with Imprints Cares! From prenatal development through middle school, this non-profit organization has been serving Forsyth County children and families for over 52 years. Their programs help parents become their childs first and best teacher, equipping kids with the tools they need to flourish emotionally, academically, and physically throughout their years in school. For every new patient at our office, Creative Kids will donate an activity kit to a child in need within our community. Were thankful to the amazing Winston-Salem families who are making this possible just by being patients at Creative Kids!

I have 2 toddlers and sometimes they have a hard time or give me a hard time. But here everyone was so kind and trust me now this days is hard to find someone that doesn't get mad or complain about kids.

This was our 1st time here. The staff was extremely friendly and made both my children at ease. It took us a little while to finally get an appointment but was totally worth it. To see my extremely anxious daughter at ease and my SPD son do so well at the dentist, I couldn't ask for more!

10/18/22 was my little one's second visit with Creative Kids Pediatric Dentistry. Her visit was beyond excellent. Everyone is always so kind and understanding. They take the time to compliment my toddler and listen to any concerns I may have. I couldn't ask for a better pediatric dentist. Dr. Annie was so patient with Mia during her examine. Mia definitely wasn't happy but Dr. Annie did wonderful with her. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

I was so nervous for my little guys first dental visit and I have no idea why after we went. Everyone was so kind, from the amazing musical playground outside while we waited, to folks inside loving on my boy. I do not like the dentist as an adult, it scares me, but this was such a wonderful experience. Five stars for sure, I wish there was a place this for adults.

We had a wonderful first visit! The layout is so very bright, inviting, and kid-friendly. The staff was very patient and kind. Dr. Anne was able to soothe and help my preschooler stay calm while she checked and cleaned his teeth. She is great with little ones. We are happy to come back. Thank you!

Brought my autistic son here for his first dentist appointment and they were amazing with him. I was so worried how he would react but they worked with him. From the receptionist in the front to the dentist and hygienist in back, they did a great job. Also a very nice atmosphere.

They took great care of my child! They explained everything to me and made it easy to understand what they need to do, pointing out specific details so I understand what is going on with her teeth. This is a new dentist and I'm glad I made this choice for my kids! And their facility is so nice and comfortable!

I cannot begin to cover all of the reasons Dr. Annie and her staff are so amazing. If you are in this area and not taking your kids to Creative Kids, you are missing out- exceptional experience (and I am fully aware that I am talking about taking kids to the dentist :) )

Fantastic experience! My daughter has been to another dentist twice and never let them clean her teeth. She let them clean her teeth today at her first visit. Scheduling and all of the new patient paperwork was super easy and quick. We will definitely be staying with Dr. Annie!
