Melissas career in dentistry spans well over 25 years so far, and she never gets tired of seeing patients happy smiles once theyve completed their treatment. Originally from Munster, she attended the University of Southern Indiana for her college education.
Melissa has two sons who are both very devoted to baseball and one daughter who is a bookworm and currently attending dental school. In her spare time, she loves traveling with her family, seeing new places, and decorating her home for the holidays. Her favorite channel is HGTV the shows give her so many ideas! In the future, shes really looking forward to going skydiving with her daughter.
Skye has been a member of the Creating Smiles, PC team for over 25 years so far. She studied at Indiana University Northwest and is certified in both CPR and radiology. She really enjoys working closely with patients and helping them overcome any fears or anxieties they have through the power of sedation dentistry.
Originally from Hobart, Skye has one daughter in college who is studying elementary education and another daughter who is currently a senior in high school. Outside of the dental office, her top passions are reading and adopting senior animals.
A Chicago native, Saras career in oral healthcare covers a full decade so far. She attended Olympia College for her education and is trained in coronal polishing, dental sealants, radiology, and CPR. Her favorite part of this job is an easy answer being able to give patients their confident smiles back is so rewarding!
Megan is from Valparaiso, IN originally, and she studied dentistry at Indiana University Northwest. She is also trained in CPR and radiology. Today, what she loves most about her job is being able to help patients achieve such healthy smiles.
Outside of work, Megan loves spending time with her sisters (one of whom is her twin) and her three cats. Her biggest personal interests include basketball, softball, and watching movies. Heres an interesting fact about her: shes never cut her hair before!

Dr. Kapers has been practicing dentistry since 1993, and he never gets tired of helping patients change their lives through high-quality oral healthcare. He takes pride in spending a lot of one-on-one time with each patient, discussing their unique needs and creating one-of-a-kind treatment plans that exceed expectations.
While he was in elementary school, Dr. Kapers went to an explorer group and got to visit a dentists office. Seeing the dentist work and interact with the patients had such a strong impression on him that he was inspired to follow in the mans footsteps. He made the decision to become a dentist in the 4th grade--and all these years later, Dr. Kapers is still 100% confident he made the right choice!
He completed both his undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees at Indiana University. Today, he is very passionate about continuing education and takes an average of 100+ hours each year in advanced courses on new technologies. He has a particular interest in sedation dentistry (he is trained in DOCS sedation) and dental implants.
Dr. Kapers is married to his high school sweetheart, Melissa, who has worked here in his dental office ever since the doors were first opened. He also has a daughter who is following in his footsteps by attending dental school, and two sons. One plays professional baseball with the Texas Rangers organization, while the other plays division one baseball for Valparaiso University and hopes to reach the next level one day.
