Dr. John Crawford was born into a family of seven children and raised in the town of his current orthodontic practice: Kenosha, Wisconsin. Dr. Crawford has a strong academic background, graduating valedictorian from Tremper High School in 1975. He attended Marquette University for undergraduate studies, and graduated cum laude from Marquette Dental School in 1982. After practicing general dentistry for one year with his father, he entered a two year orthodontic residency at Marquette, where he graduated in 1985 with a Masters Degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Crawford completed his final phase of Board Certification in 1988, becoming Kenosha Countys first Board Certified Orthodontist.
In addition to improving peoples smiles in the office, Dr. Crawford enjoys his personal life with his wife, Susan. Together they have raised their three children, Jane, James and Julie. Throughout the years, he has coached both boys little league and girls youth soccer. His hobbies include spending time with his 5 grandchildren, tennis, camping, canoeing, scuba diving, working outdoors, hunting with his son and playing jazz piano. Dr. Crawford plays piano regularly in The John Crawford Jazz Band. You can check out his musical talents on Monday nights from 7:30-10:30pm at Sazzy Bs in downtown Kenosha, in addition to other local events!
Dr. Crawford has held leadership roles that include: Past President of the WSO (Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists), the MSO (Midwest Society of Orthodontists), and the local American Cancer Society, in addition to serving several years on the Board of Directors of Southport Bank, and being an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Western Kenosha.
Dr. Jane Wright is a Board Certified Orthodontist practicing at Crawford and Wright Orthodontics with her father. She has her BS in Nutrition Science from the University of Minnesota, her DDS and MS in Oral Biology and Orthodontic Certificate from Marquette University. She has published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry on tooth size and agenesis and is an adjunct professor in the orthodontic department of Marquette University School of Dentistry. Dr. Wright is an active member of the Kenosha Dental Society and American Association of Orthodontics.
Dr. Wright maintains her passion for nutrition and overall health and enjoys a very active lifestyle. She and her husband reside in Kenosha with their 5 children and has hobbies that include running, playing tennis and spending time with her friends and family.

Dr. Crawford put my braces on 30 years ago and it has been such a pleasure to recently return to Crawford & Wright Orthodontics for my child's braces. Dr. Crawford, Dr. Wright, and the entire staff are as welcoming as ever and continue to offer high quality customer service. This family-owned business is a gem in the Kenosha community. I hope to see them here for many years to come!

Great experience at Crawford! Staff are so friendly and welcoming! Appts are on time and they detail out each process as they come so you know what to expect for each visit. Scheduling is also simple! Would highly recommend Crawford Ortho to everyone!!!!

My experience with Crawford & Wright Ortho was nothing short of amazing. I hadn't smiled in years and avoided having my picture taken because I didn't like my smile anymore. When my son got engaged that's when I decided to do something about it. I was in treatment for 15 months and was debanded today....it was very emotional for me. I can't thank them enough for giving me back my smile. If you know anyone looking for an Orthodontist this is the place to go. Office staff is amazing, kind, funny, knowledgeable, and make you feel comfortable. As for Dr. Crawford & Dr. Wright...they know their stuff and you can tell they love what they do.

Crawford orthodontics is amazing! I have had two children get their braces with them and have always felt seen and appreciated. They treated my children with respect and as an integral part of the process. They were made to feel that their voices and feelings were valid. And of course the outcome of straight beautiful teeth is wonderful.

My 2 kids received orthodontic treatment at Crawford . Both doctors and all staff are wonderful. They go out of their way to ensure clear communication as well as making sure patients and family are comfortable and treated with the highest level of care. I was always comfortable asking questions and my kids were very comfortable at every visit. They were always able to fit us in outside of regular appointments if we had an issue - so accommodating! Highly recommend!

Just finished my year long journey with adult braces and let me tell you--They made the trip enjoyable. Very happy with my results, and couldn't recommend more when it comes to who you should go to for your ortho needs!

Crawford and Wright is a first rate group of people. I say that because they are more like a family than they are care providers. They are absolute experts at their craft and from our first consultation through after care, they have provided the very best service and care. Pricing is fair and transparent and my daughters plan ran exactly on schedule! I cannot say enough about how well we were cared for and highly recommend them!

I couldn't recommend a better orthodontic practice. Although I had my rite of passage braces as a teen, my lower teeth were still crowded and had shifted due to inconsistent retainer use in my 20s. My dentist referred me for orthodontics on a Monday. I called Crawford on Tuesday, and they were able to schedule my consultation the following day. My braces were on by Saturday morning and off 9 months later! Everyone in this office is friendly and wonderful to work with. The doctors and assistants were always invested in my treatment and knew we had an important deadline-my upcoming wedding. They were happy to answer my questions and help solve any issues throughout the process. Although my treatment was short, the results and my satisfaction will last indefinitely. Whether you're looking for yourself or your child, don't waste anymore time. Pick up the phone and call Crawford for a consultation. You will not regret it!

Dr Crawford and Dr Wright are the best at what they do. Their staff are extremely nice and courteous every time I visited. I am extremely happy with the results from my braces and getting my impacted canines to come down. I was warned that my chances of both canines coming down was rare. Dr. Wright is the most amazing human being on earth. I was about to leave for a long road trip on July 4th weekend and on Saturday afternoon, my permanent retainer broke and was poking me - I was already an hour from home. I found Dr. Wright and she took the time out of her day to come in and help me out. I can't express how much I appreciate her kindness and expertise. I recommend Dr. Wright's practice to anyone seeking orthodontic treatment. She is extremely caring and does excellent work!

The BEST in the business! Our family just finished with child #3 coming through the braces treatment. Every minute of every visit was wonderful. The staff is always genuinely pleasant and helpful. Every person talked to my children directly, and not through me; what a fantastic way of developing great relationships! This place is worth every penny. I have to say my child teeth are beautiful. The last 20 month were wonderful from the first consult to getting them off. Staff is amazing . If you are wondering should you use them the answer is yes, you should. If my child needed more wax or rubber band to chap stick or if a wire came loose could easily pick up what you need or get in for appointment. She loved her very comfortable sweatshirt they give her . And the lovely prizes you earned. It makes you feel very welcome and like your family. Five star would give ten if it would let me
