Dr. Cranska graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry in 1979. He opened a general practice in Annapolis, MD, the same year. His practice expanded and moved to Arnold in 1994, Severna Park in 2005.
Dr. Cranska became interested in dental lasers and sought training in Laser Periodontal Therapy (now FDA approved as LANAP, Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure), a breakthrough procedure to treat periodontal disease. In 1999, he trained to become one of the first ten dentists in the world to use this procedure. Since then, Dr. Cranska has gone on to become a published author, lecturer and Certified Clinical Instructor of the LANAP procedure.
He is currently a Clinical Instructor at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD), teaching other dentists how to use and integrate the LANAP technique into their own practice. Dentists from around the world travel for this hands-on clinical instruction. Training centers are located in New York, Colorado and California. He also has attained Advance Proficiency Certification with the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Cranska often speaks to other dentists about his laser techniques and procedures of LANAP.
Our family dental office emphasizes restoring teeth to their original form, shape and color. We placed over 1,500 bonded, tooth colored restorations last year alone. We utilize shot-free, microabrasion and hard-tissue lasers, when possible for fillings, bonding and super-sealants. Laser energy and water are utilized to replace the dental drill and remove decay from teeth. We are into our 15th year of successfully utilizing Laser Periodontal Therapy LANAP (The no cut, non-bleeding, no suture treatment of gum disease).

I wouldn't let Dr.Cranska do any dental work on me ever! I came for a consult after reading his many articles on Lanap, periodontal laser surgery. Our consult was all of 5 minutes. He looked at my before and after full xrays I brought and he made some rough statements to me. He looked in my mouth and then made clear that he wasn't going to help me and stated he had other patients to go work on! Motioning for me to get up from the dental chair. As I'm getting up, he sbruptly throws out two statements saying, "you know you have xxxx occuring in your gums!?! and yyyy!" (Two detrimental conditions that can be considered dental emergencies and one he's trained to correct with a laser.) Oh, and don't forget your purse on the way out. This was so harsh, alarming and irresponsible treatment by any medical professional. He gave me a referral.

I have been a patient for several years now. Please look to Dr. Cranska, if you have periodontal disease. There is a little known procedure called lanap that he not only performs, but trains others to perform. It can help save your teeth and your money. Shout out to the awesome staff, too!

Cannot recommend Dr. Cranska any more highly. His expertise in laser dentistry has made procedures that seemed daunting and difficult for my old dentist, something he does with ease. Just beyond impressed with the whole operation.

Dr. Cranska is the best dentist I've ever had! He is very kind and caring and his work is amazing. His staff are wonderful and very conscientious. I stopped being scared about going to the dentist after I started seeing Dr. Cranska. I highly recommend him!

I have been a patient of Dr. Cranska's for over a year now. I came to him in an emergency situation having two of my crown's fall out. And my former dentist's office for over 15+ years told me to just put them back in myself and they couldn't see me for two weeks. I got an appointment ASAP with Dr. Cranska. Sue took great care of getting my appointment set up and is always helpful with billing and scheduling. Dr. Cranska reviewed my situation and put my crowns back in temporarily. We had to get the inflammation out of my gums in get them in better shape before I could get new crowns. I had a cleaning with Allison, she does a great job of getting your teeth clean and your gums in good shape. Fast forward a few months, since the gums were doing better, we took impressions to make new crowns. Dr. Cranska did a great job of detailing out and explaining his plan for me throughout the whole process. His dental assistant, Angela was involved with the process as well. She was making sure that I was doing okay with everything and did a great job. My crowns are great, and my teeth and gums are in much better shape than when I first came to see Dr. Cranska. All of my interactions with the team here have been outstanding. They are friendly, professional, courteous helpful, and above all empathetic and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Cranska and his team. They are amazing. I am so pleased that I found him.

Patient centered care that listens. State of the art facilities. Schedules are kept on time. How many times have you waited 30 mins. to an hour to be seen? I've never had that happen.
