Dr. Alexander D. Cranford is a native of Moultrie, Georgia. After graduating from Colquitt County High School, Dr. Cranford graduated with honors from Birmingham-Southern College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following graduation from college, Dr. Cranford attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. Nationally, Dr. Cranfords dental school class ranked fth on part one of the National Boards Exam and rst on part two of the National Boards Exam. Dr. Cranford served as the president of the dental schools student government association as well as a student ambassador for the international exchange program with Asahi and Meikai Universities in Japan. In addition to being inducted into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Dr. Cranford received numerous awards and honors, including the Deans Medal - the highest honor given by the dental school. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, Dr. Cranford was then accepted into the orthodontic residency program at the UAB School of Dentistry where he completed an additional three years of education. During his orthodontic residency, Dr. Cranford obtained both a Certicate in Orthodontics as well as a Masters of Science degree.
Dr. Cranford is a second-generation dental care provider. His father, Jay N. Cranford, Jr., D.M.D., has been providing dental care to Moultrie and the surrounding communities for more than 35 years. Dr. Cranfords decision to enter into the eld of orthodontics was greatly inuenced by his father, as he saw how much his father enjoyed his profession and interacting with so many wonderful people.
Dr. Cranford is a board-certied orthodontist. The primary purpose of The American Board of Orthodontics is to elevate the level of orthodontic care for the public by encouraging excellence in clinical practice and specialty education. The ABO is the only certifying board recognized by the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Cranford served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UAB School of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics. Dr. Cranford serves on the board for Bridging the Gap Community Outreach, is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, American Board of Orthodontics, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Georgia Association of Orthodontists, Georgia Dental Association, Western District Dental Society, Hinman Dental Society and the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation.
The best part of my job is working with our wonderful patients. I love getting to know each patient and family that comes into our office. When Im not at work, you can find me spending time with my husband and our 2 children. I love shopping, Pinterest projects, and cheering on my hometown Pittsburgh sports teams!
My meticulous personality is a perfect match for the Scheduling Coordinator role. As a soon-to-be Mom, I enjoy getting to know our patients and families and watching them grow. I like to stay busy, but during my downtime, you can find me at the movies, at the gym, or eating pizza!
When Im not assisting Dr. Cranford, you can find me hanging with my family, hiking, kayaking, caving, baking something sweet, cleaning my house, and jamming on the guitar! I enjoy learning about my patients and look forward to the day they get their braces off!
I enjoy assisting Dr. Cranford and love getting to know my patients throughout their treatment. When I am not in the office, you can find me and my 2 children cruising around town finding something fun to do. My family is always up for an adventure and we spend most of our weekends at the softball field.
Its an amazing feeling when you can wake up, and enjoy going to work. I love seeing the confidence build in my patients as I help them achieve their dream smile. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two little ones. I love home projects, shopping, and family outings.
Since becoming a part of the team, I have learned a lot about orthodontics. As a third generation assistant, I have grown to love the dental field as much as my mom and grandmother did and I look forward coming to work and meeting all of our awesome patients. When I am not at work, I am either spending time with my family and boyfriend, shopping, or working on my next DIY project.
I love everything about my job, but my favorite part is seeing our patients faces light up when their new smile is revealed. Like I did for our country, I am a proud Army Veteran and will FIGHT for your new smile! When Im not in the office, I enjoy working out, shopping, and watching scary movies.

Wonderful place. They always are willing to make sure my teeth are fixed and in perfect condition. My teeth started spaced and with a major overbite but I see great changes!

I took my son to this office to have braces done. From the consult to the first install, so far has been nothing short of outstanding. They explained the process and answered our questions. On brace install day, Jamie worked with my son and she was so assuring to him. He was able to relax because of her tone and the way she handled him in the chair. Dr Cranford came in and he was so pleasant and was willing to answer further questions. He was so gentle with my son too. The entire staff seems to have a great chemistry together. The office is very clean and they make every effort to ensure their patients are comfortable as they go through the experience. Thanks you all so much.

Just WOW! I highly recommend Cranford orthodontics! First impression, very clean and comfortable facility. All employees I came in contact with were very pleasant and professional! The procedure room was very relaxed with nice music and an outdoor view. Elena was a pleasure to work with, I felt very comfortable in her care like she wasn't a stranger. I felt like she took her time and made sure I was done right. Dr Cranford called me a few hours after my appt to check on me! Very good, I was a pretty big trouble maker and I didn't wear them correctly but they still came out great. I used the Invisalign braces and it made my teeth j how I wanted.

Great experience at Dr. Cranford's office. Clean, inviting environment and the staff is so friendly. My son is in the process of getting braces and they sit with you one on one and explain everything. My son is actually excited to get the process started. Price is fully broken down for you. No surprising fees. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely love the staff at Cranford Orthodontics! My mom had to take my daughter for her appointment while I was at work. They sent me a text while my mom and daughter were there to over everything and ask if I had any questions or concerns. Then they called me to schedule her next appointment.

Could not ask for a better experience. Dr. Cranford is the highest level of professional. He knows you upon walking through the door, along with all the information necessary to carry out his work. Dr. Cranford has an amazing team of ladies who will take care of you throughout your time in the office. They are so nice and so friendly. They know your name and make you feel welcome. As for the work done by Dr. Cranford, seriously, could not have ask for better results. Overall the experience of this office is a joy to say the least.

Dr. Cranford and crew are some of the most professional people in their practice. I was moved from the very first visit when Dr. Cranford personally followed-up after the procedure to see how I was doing. Every visit is full of smiling faces and professional acumen. Impressive.
