Ive always known that I wanted to work in the healthcare field. Coupled with the fact that I enjoy working with my hands, dentistry has proven to be a most satisfying career choice. This professional path was previously laid out for me by my grandfather, who owned a successful dental practice in Arkansas. A respected member of our hometown community and a great family man, my grandfather definitely had an influence in my life.
Growing up in North Little Rock, AR, I was active in sports throughout elementary and high school. I received my undergraduate degree, a BA in Microbiology, from the University of Arkansas. In 2004, I graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry with my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. For the next eight years, I practiced dentistry in Nashville, TN, where I owned my first practice.
