My passion is orthodontics. I lovecreating a beautiful, healthy, perfect smile for each patient. For me, it is the combination of art and science,which allows me to craft the ideal smilebased on a persons unique clinical and lifestyle needs.
Todays technology allows for quicker treatment time, a more comfortable orthodontic process, and completely invisible treatment if that is what the patient desires. Along with modern technology, I use the very best materials and advanced techniques, ensuring the most incredible results.
Through my patients different interests and life experiences, Im always learning something new about the world or myself, and I find that to be fulfilling. Even better, though, are the friendships that develop. I get to know each patient on a personal level and we do become a family of friends. Its a joy to spend my days creating gorgeous smiles!
I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD), and completed the Orthodontic Specialty Program at Boston University, under the legendary leadership of the late Dr. Anthony Gianelli. This provided me with an exceptional foundation in orthodontics.
In order to stay current with the constant developments in orthodontic technology, materials, and methodologies, I attend the annual American Association of Orthodontists meetings, monthly study clubs, and online webinars. This enables me to bring the latest advances to my patients. They rely on me to deliver the highest quality care and I am committed to doing that, consistently.
I have also been voted, by my peers, as New Jersey Monthly Magazines Top Orthodontist and Top Dentiston multiple occasions. Our wonderful patients have also voted our practice New Jersey Monthly Magazines Top Family Dentists.
Im originally from Maryland; Basking Ridge has been home since 2001. Away from work I spend as much time as possible with my wife and children. I also enjoy physical activities, including snow skiing, water skiing, and running. Additionally, Im an avid gardener and love playing the drums.
In general it's my job to make sure the office runs smoothly from day to day. I've worked in the orthodontic field for more than18 years, and love the feeling that comes from providing families with exceptional care and confidence from a beautiful smile. I love coming to work and partnering with such great people that work so well together - we are like family.
When I'm not in the office, Ilove to take walks and work out - but mostly I love to spend time with my husband, my two beautiful daughters, Chloe and Elle, and our three adorable dogs, Charlie and Eve, and Star.
I have been working in the dental field for the last 20 years but I really enjoy doing orthodontics and I hope to continue doing it for many more years to come! I love working with patients of all ages. It gives me great satisfaction to see how I am able to help someone gain confidence by creating a perfect smile. It is very rewarding to work together with the doctor and staff to deliver great service to all of our patients.
Dr. Menker and our orthodontic team are passionate about providing care that changes lives of people we care about. They seek out opportunities to talk with new people, they walk with more confidence, and, best of all, they smile and laugh openly and with joy. Their lives are better and happier, and we loving being part of the process making it happen!
Our team members are experienced professionals who genuinely love helping people and building relationships with them. Whether were caring for a child, teen, or an adult, we enjoy the conversations and the laughter we share. Dr. Menker and his staff are terrific. They are organized, on time, and do a great job of explaining treatments goals. They set clear expectations for the treatment so that there were no unhappy surprises. We are very happy with our decision to receive care there.

I am very satisfied with my treatment using clear aligners to straighten my teeth. Dr. Menker is very thorough and made sure I was pleased with the results. He and his staff are professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

Elijah has had an absolutely positive orthodontic experience. Dr. Menker and his staff are very attentive to their patients. They worked with our schedule and even gave reminders. The office staff always greeted us with a smile. Upon completion of our visit, someone from the medical staff would always come out to give an update. Most of all, Eli loves his teeth. Dr. Menker and his team could not be nicer or better at what they do! He's done such a fabulous job of correcting our child's orthodontic issues that I've decided (as an adult) to become a a patient myself! I never thought that I would consider braces at my age! Dr. Menker and Lori listened to my questions, addressed my concerns, and devised a plan that will correct issues I've been self-conscious about and struggled with all my life. Please make a visit to their beautiful office and meet them - you'll be glad you did!

Dr. Menker is superb. He cares just as much about your smile as you do. Compared with the orthodontist I saw as a teenager, Dr. Menker and his team were extremely accommodating and provided a superior patient experience - between coordinating with my healthcare provider, scheduling appointments, equipping me with the right information to make informed decisions, and the treatment itself. As a 24-year old who didn't wear their retainers after braces as a teen, I had crowding and movement in my bottom teeth that made me self-conscious. I did a 4 month treatment with clear aligners (e.g., Invisalign) and now i can't help but take pictures of my new smile. I would definitely recommend Dr. Menker!
