Every day I wake up, I thank God that I chose to be an orthodontist. The profession allows me to meet and interact with unique and different people every day. Im a people person. People come to see me because they want a better smile, and I take great pride in delivering the smiles they want and deserve. For a number of patients, this is a life-changing experience! It feels good to see patients, who started out shy because of their crooked teeth, leave my office after treatment with perfectly straight teeth, now confident and outgoing!
Dr. Smith attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Then he received his DMD from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he graduated in the top of his class while receiving multiple awards and honors. After dental school, Dr. Smith served his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center before returning to Tufts for his post-graduate degree in orthodontics.
Dr. Smith is a member of the Suffolk County Dental Society, and is in line to become the next president. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontics, Tufts Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Smith is originally from New Haven, Connecticut, and loves living on Long Island, where he has resided for almost 20 years. When he is not in the office, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his daughter Madison, traveling, and cheering on the New York Mets!
North Shore Orthodontics is just simple amazing ! The staff is very well organized. They are very helpful and gentle on your mouth. If it were not for them I would have never been able to get braces on. I was always a nervous wreak at the dentist and they had that special touch! my teeth are beautiful now thanks to Dr. Craig and staff. They always make sure to fit you in according to your schedule. We offer a variety of orthodontic services, including American Orthodontics Mini Brackets, which are the smallest traditional braces available! We also perform a lot of treatments with Invisalign clear aligners and Invisalign Teen. We also offer the most translucent ceramic brackets available, A.O. Radiance! In addition, we provide in-office teeth whitening.

My kids and grandkids have all been going to Dr. Smith @ North Shore Orthodontics. They love Dr. Smith as he is very easy going as well as the staff. They also like that the waiting room has the video games but sad that we are never there long enough to play. They want to stay even after the appointment is over. Also for afternoon appts, the office offers cookies. They love when we have afternoon appts.

I went to the dentist with my friend and the staff was amazing. Dr. Smith was professional knowledgeable and courteous. I want to be a part of this dental family. The facility was clean. It was the best experience I have had at the dentist office.

Dr. Craig was seeing my daughter for two years, before he felt it was the right time to begin her treatment. It was clear that he wanted what was best for her, and did not want to rush. We are nearly one year along, and he continues to explain each step clearly. I really trust him, and I would recommend him to anyone. Also important to note, the people working with him in his office seem genuinely happy to be at work. It is a comfortable environment, and I believe that has greatly helped my daughter with this experience.
