Craig Dental Care - General dentist in Monroe, WA

I love my job! After graduating from dental school in 2005, I returned home to Washington & took over the practice from my childhood dentist in Monroe. From 2013 to 2018, I expanded the practice to Redmond. The best part of my job is that I get to work with amazing staff to build great relationships with our patients & their families, while also helping them have the healthiest smiles possible.

Along with providing the gentlest care, my philosophy is to treat conservatively where possible & prepare for more aggressive care only when necessary. I always strive to achieve the best outcome while providing the best value to my patients.

I graduated with honors from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2005, where I was awarded an academic achievement award for excellence & inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a highly selective national dental honor society.

Technology moves fast, & it is crucial to stay up to date. To provide our patients with the best dental care, my staff & I take numerous continuing education classes every year to stay current on the latest materials, techniques & equipment.

When Im not at the office, I love spending time with my wife, Yvonne, & our newborn son, Wylder, who has become a speedster crawler. I recently learned to sail & am fulfilling a lifelong dream of buying an old boat to fix up. I also enjoy woodworking, landscaping & hiking trails with my amazing rescue dog, Cash, who sometimes comes to supervise us at the Monroe practice.

We moved from Bothell and was referred to Dr. Craig by Lacey Poteet who works there and she raved about how wonderful he and the staff are. I am a very nervous dental patient for my whole life. I had broken a tooth and I needed to find someone. So I followed Lacey's recommendations and WOW I had the best experience there! The whole procedure was totally comfortable and pain free! I love Dr. Craig's relaxed manner, humor and professionalism - he and his staff make a wonderful team. Thank you so much Lacey for the best recommendation and for our new Dentist in Monroe

everyone is super nice. I just couldnt stay with a practice that schedules appointments for you. And there was this one time that i had to reschedule an appointment and did so with no problem with the nice girl on the phone but my appointment was rescheduled after that to a time that i could not come. My grandog has seizures and sometimes this made scheduling difficult for me and of course added extra stress for me during those times. having someone schedule my appointments during those times definately added stress that i did not need. i drive further now but getting my necessary work done on my time.

*Updated regarding their response* *Please refer to the part about me having multiple mental disabilities that interfere with every aspect of my life. This means handling certain situations that may be easy for most people are NOT easy for me. Their response, to me, only proves my point. Choosing to not take advantage of any of the many opportunities to discuss it directly with me face to face and opting for the methods of least amount of effort that are in no way guaranteed to get to me, is not good communication. Then for them to claim that they were "forced" to use a collection agency when I had always been willing to pay whatever I could when I could? Me being in their office a dozen or more times with no one ever saying a word is them "trying to connect". Not only that but before my bill was sent to collections, while /still/ not talking to me about it, there was a definite passive aggressive attitude during the appointments I had. I was very much aware of it whether or not he even noticed he was doing it, and I was honestly surprised at the unprofessional behavior that it had me considering looking elsewhere. It wasn't sending my bill to collections that lost them my business. It was authorizing the collection agency to take legal action after minimal effort and poor communication, from both their office and the collection agency, that did it. I am not denying some fault in the situation like they're passively trying to do, but I also have a valid reason for not dealing with it correctly and it's an issue I've been getting help with. As a professional business there's no excuse and confirms my decision that this is NOT the dental office for me. Being a single mother, who suffers from multiple mental disabilities which interfere with every aspect of my life, including all parts of social interaction, I need a dental office that can better communicate. They're very good at communicating what work needs to be done and what options there are for it, but not when it comes to communicating other things. I am extremely disappointed by how my situation was handled, and they have now lost my business because of it and the collection agency they use. Their collection agency, Olympic Collections, is incredibly disrespectful and condescending to people who didn't hire them and I will in no way support them regardless of how indirectly (being a collection agency doesn't automatically mean they have to be bad, but this one is because of /how/ it's run). The whole situation could have been avoided had there been good communication regarding my bill and/or payments (which with all the follow up appointments there were plenty of opportunities), or if their collection agency had ever sent more than one bill. Very disappointed.

I called on a Saturday needing to be seen ASAP. They got me right in which I really appreciated, the reason for only 2 stars is I was told I had a cavity so deep the tooth had to be pulled. The Dr asked if I wanted it taken care of same day. I replied no, wanting to get a second opinion. Went and saw a different dentist and they informed me all I would need is a root canal and crown. It's scary to me that a dentist just wanted to pull out my tooth instead of doing whatever was possible to save it. Office staff was super nice and helpful I just didn't appreciate the lack of wanting to save a natural tooth.

Great and caring staff, very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. I was in and out quickly and they even showed me pictures of my tooth and what they were going to work on. I also have a trip coming up soon and they were able to schedule me in before I left. Couldn't ask for a better dental team and even better they are located close to home! I'll be a returning and extremely happy patient!

disappointed at lack of respect given to patients priorities and blaming the lab week after week.

Dr.Craig and his minions are NUMB-er one. Being a little long in the TOOTH myself I can appreciate everyones youthful exuberance. I get the FILLING that all the fine folks working here truly enjoy their careers. Giving this review the BRUSH off just wouldn't be fair to the top notch professionals at this office. And before relinquishing the FLUORIDE just like to say thanks to all the fine people at the Craig Dental Group. It's been a GAS and ya'll deserve a PLAQUE.
