Dr. Craig Arive was born and raised in Indianapolis and is a 1992 graduate of Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. He worked in the field of graphic design as Art Director of Indianapolis Monthly magazine for many years and earned the William White award for Art Director of the Year in 1999. Arive returned to school, realizing his ambitions, and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2012. His clinical philosophy is to provide patient focused dental care at the highest level of quality. Dr. Arive and his wife Laura have been married since 1999 and have two sons. He hopes to make them proud by providing all his patients the care they deserve.
Sonya was born and raised in Middletown, IN where she still resides today with her family. Sonya works as the Office Manager at Craig Arive, DDS to coordinate your care, but was originally trained as Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions. She graduated from New Castle Vocational School with certification in Dental Assisting and has gained 24 years experience in the dental field. Sonya and her husband, Bobby, have been married since 1996. Their daughter, Madalyn is a senior at University of Southern Indiana majoring in Elementary Education and Special Ed. She enjoys spending time together as a family and riding motorcycles with her husband.
Brandi was born and raised in Indianapolis and now lives in Fortville, IN with her husband Tony, 2 children and 2 dogs. She has 23 years in the dental field which began as a dental assistant, then went on to further her education to become a dental hygienist in 2005. Brandi enjoys creating relationships with her patients and getting to know them. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

I was long overdue for a dental visit, but Dr. Arive and his staff, especially Brandy, made me feel comfortable. They spent over 1.5 hours with me and did a full exam, x-rays, etc. They never made me feel bad for neglecting my smile. They explained everything very carefully and made sure I understood my options. The good news - my smile can be saved, and I am very much looking forward to working with Dr. Arive and his staff to get back in sync with my oral health.

I like the service, but the price seems to be soring. I noticed that it increased almost $60 from my last visit 6 months ago.

They used an ultra sonic water cleaning device this time to help reduce bleeding rather than scraping this time. I am on a blood thinner and this was important to me. I was never told that this was an option before and this process was much less painful. Thanks you They are very thorough with their inspections and take the time to understand each patients needs and to get to know them.

Great experience as always! Hygienist was very thorough and informative. Dr Arive took his time with the exam and very detailed with treatment options. I left informed and my teeth feel great!

Great staff and dentist! The dental hygienist I see is always super friendly and quick (but thorough) with the cleaning. Dr Arive has great bedside manner and is, overall, a great dentist. I highly recommend!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Dr. Arive's office. From directions to get to the office (as I was lost in the parking lot, lol), to the thorough cleaning, to the discussion of my X-Rays and cleaning with Dr. Arive were more than optimal. The dental hygienist and Dr. Arive were patient, and kind in their discussion regarding my teeth and how to proceed to stay healthy. Dr. Arive also was helpful with my COVD-19 questions even, he is very knowledgeable and patient when explaining the complex questions I had for him.

My wife has been treated great by Dr Arive and his staff, they always ask how she is doing they are very polite, funny , and treat her with great respect, We have only met Dr Arive a short time ago, and he has a very good sense of humor, ,he can not only take my humor but can give as good as he takes, We would recommend him to anyone, Cleve and Dorothy
