CR Smiles Meridian Dental Care was first established in August of 2008 in Meridian, ID. We have the belief that without dental health, anindividual is truly not healthy. Along with extractions, dentures, partials, and implants, our experienced staff and clinic offer all forms ofgeneral dentistry. We even make our own brand of dentures in our very own dental lab to provide you custom dentures the same day asyour tooth extractions!
Although he is a talented dentist who has been serving the dental needs of the Meridian and Boise area for more than 12 years, Dr. Matt Kooyman describes himself as just the guy next door. He is pleased to help his neighbors and friends in the community achieve healthy and beautiful smiles.
After earning a bachelors degree in medical biology from the University of Utah, Dr. Kooyman earned a dental degree from the University of Iowa. He is committed to lifelong training so that he can offer the latest, state-of-the-art dental care to his patients. To this end, he has completed numerous hours of post-graduate dental training, including courses in appliance therapy and restorative dentistry. Most recently, he completed a course on orthodontics and can now offer treatment with Invisalign. Dr. Kooyman is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Kooyman and his wife, Becky, enjoy the wonderful outdoor opportunities the Boise area has to offer. They share their home with their five wonderful children, who provide great joy and interest to their time away from work.

Hi, my name is Cheryl, I have over 20 years of hands on experience in all aspects of Dentisty, ranging from dental assisting to management, and I am the first person youll see when you walk through our doors. I have been with Dr Kooyman at CR Smiles Meridian Dental Care since he opened his practice February of 2007, he is a great, talented, and gentle dentist.
Meeting new smiles and seeing how helpful we can be to change those smiles is very rewarding to me. In my spare time my husband Steve and I enjoy traveling and one of my passions in cooking. I have two adult children and one grandson here in the Meridian area.
She is married and has 4 children. She enjoys running, boating, camping and anything outdoors. She and her family have been patients of Dr Kooyman for several years, even before beginning her employment. She chose CR Smiles Meridian Dental Care because it is a technologically advanced, modern practice and because Dr Kooyman is a honest, gentle and thorough dentist.
