Dr. Chris Hatae received his dental degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. He calls Fullerton home with his wife, Adrienne, and two sons, Dillon and Landon. Both Dr. Hatae and his wife are Southern California natives but traveled north and met while attending the University of the Pacific. When he is not practicing dentistry, you can find Dr. Hatae rooting for his local sports teams, the Lakers, Kings and Dodgers.
Dr. Hatae enjoys continuing to learn about all aspects of dentistry, staying up to date with the most current dental technology. He enjoys providing comprehensive dental treatment and creating lasting relationships with patients. Dr. Hatae works hard to provide patients with high-end quality products and services along with customized personal attention.
Dr. Abel Hernandez completed his dental training at Columbia University in New York City. He remained there an additional year to complete a post graduate residency serving our nations veterans at the Brooklyn VA Hospital. Born and raised in Fullerton, he has many personal connections to his patients and their families. He was a multisport athlete at Fullerton High School and that is also where he met his wife Latoya. They welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Atreyu, in October 2018. They currently reside in Sunset Beach.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Abel likes to stay in the water and enjoys surfing and paddleboarding. He has recently taken up photography, which is also very important to practicing dentistry! Being able to practice in the City of Fullerton has been extremely rewarding, since he gets to help out the community that molded him. Dr. Abel likes to stay in tuned with the newest advances in dentistry and strives to provide his patients with a Modern Dental Experience.

I'm not a huge fan of Dentists in general... But this place is legit. Family vibes, amazing staff & Docs are top notch! Dr. Hernandez is as good as they get. Huge thanks for the years of killer service.

I have had significant dental issues in the past and Coyote Hills Dental were the first ones to come up with an actual treatment plan. I can't say enough great things, they are compassionate, resourceful and professional...well worth your time to check them out!

I LOVE Dr. Hatae!!! He is GREAT! My Children love him too! The office staff is amazing and friendly and the dental hygienists are wonderful too! I never liked the dentist...and now I LOVE it! I recently was seen by Dr. Hernandez and he is AMAZING too! I was having an issue with a crown which he adjusted during my appointment. The following week he called me to follow up and see how I was doing and confirm adjustment worked! BEST DENTISTS EVER!!!!

Coyote Hills Family Dentistry is a warm environment that I am glad I came across. The office is clean and high tech but not so much that it's intimidating. The staff is friendly and kind making you feel right at home from the start. When you step foot in the office your greated with a smile, which is a nice change compared to some places I have been. The ambience is lovely. Help yourself to warm coffee or cold water or both! The overall experience is nothing but pleasurable. I was never talked into things I didn't need and the Dr. spoke to me in plain English. He gave me options and recommendations as oppose to orders of what to do. To sum it up, it's great go now get that sore tooth fixed, fix that crooked smile, whatever you need just go to them and they will treat you right.

I have been going to this practice since 1977 and have seen many many changes over the years, from new offices to new dentists. However, this environment, by far, has surpassed the previous locales, and the practice is now state-of-the-art! I would recommend Coyote Hills Family Dentistry to anyone looking to go somewhere new or to change practices.

I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but I do not mind going to Coyote Hills Family Dentistry. The staff is always very friendly and happy to help, whether on the phone or in person and they genuinely care about your wellbeing. Wendy is my hygienist and has been for some time. Hopefully for as long as I have teeth, which will be forever if I keep coming here. I had a fairly long period of time where I did not go to the dentist (student with no money or insurance - grad student/over 24), but the office was super nice when I came in to get myself back in shape. Now that I'm a regular my teeth are in great shape. The office also has all kinds of technology with instant x-rays that can anticipate any potential cavities early in the process. I also have an online profile and receive a couple of text messages to remind me of my appointments. The office is nice (looks much nicer inside than out), clean, and very spacious. Even the rooms with dental chairs have plenty of space and have televisions. To show how much I like this office I drive from Irvine for my appointments. I won't go anywhere else because I can't do any better.

Love this group, they make you feel at very home. They are professional, friendly and truly listen to all of your concerns. They go above and beyond. Star has been my hygienist since 1984 and I am so thrilled she is part of this group. Coyote Hills Family Dentistry is the BEST TEAM from top to bottom the are professional and personable.

I have been coming here for years now. The waiting room is very welcoming with an aquarium that looks like a picture frame. Keurig coffee maker and small fridge full of waters. The rooms are very comfortable with multiple monitors showing X Ray's and or movies if you are having a procedure done. The staff are all great and very fry. I would highly recommend this office!

4 out of 5 stars...can't say I LOVE the dentist...:-) The people at Hataefamilydental are very nice and professional. The Hygienist' are gentle and on time. Both dentists are kind and knowledgeable. I had a temporary crown fall off and went back the next day first thing in the morning. The Dr. was running a little late to the receptionist gave me a Starbucks gift card and asked if I wanted to run and get a cup of coffee instead of sitting and waiting. Finding the right dentist was always a challenge for me. Now, I can honestly say I have found my forever dentist. I look forward to my visits because everyone at Coyote Hills Family Dental is friendly and welcoming. They greet me by my name! My hygienist Diane, leaves my teeth polished every time. In addition, both Dr. Hatae And Dr. Hernandez educates me on my oral health. You won't regret coming here for all of your dental needs.

Coyote Hills is awesome! I have been going here for about 6 years after my previous dentist retired. Dianne was my hygienist at the previous dentist and I followed her and the rest of the staff to Coyote Hills. Dianne and the whole staff are extremely friendly and great to deal with. The office is very modern and they have all kinds of different technology. They show you your X-rays on a giant flat screen right in the exam room so they can show you and exhaling everything that is going on. Like the rest of the staff, Both Dr. Hate and Dr. Hernandez are very friendly and do a great job explaining everything to make you feel comfortable. I have recommended Coyote Hills to a number of people and everyone has nothing but great things to say about their experience.

I have been a registered nurse for many years. One of the advantages of the profession is knowing who the best physicians are. If Dr. Hatae was a surgeon, he would be my top choice. A fellow nurse who I have the utmost respect for steered me to him. He is truly one of the best dentists in the industry. I chose to follow him from Covina to Fullerton when he moved his practice. The extra drive is well worth it. The first impression when you enter the lobby is that it's clean, comfortable and well cared for. The staff at the front desk are very pleasant and helpful. The back office staff are professional, caring and knowledgeable. The exam rooms are spotless. Dr. Hatae, I am blessed to have you as my dentist.
