Whitney, a Quitman, Louisiana native, joined the Johnston Dental Care Team in August 2016 as a Business Assistant/Dental Assistant. She went on to achieve her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant Certification. Whitney loves spending time with her husband, Dakota, riding her horses, and barrel racing!

Amanda W. DeMoss, a Ruston native, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the LSU School of Dentistry in May 2001. Amanda practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist May 2001-June 2019. She practiced in Houston, TX for 3 years before returning to Ruston. Amanda joined the Johnston Dental Care team in 2004 and continued her practice of Dental Hygiene until June 2019. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, her years of dental hygiene had to be placed on pause. After a year+ of medical leave, the Johnstons and Amanda were determined to keep her in the dental field. It was 2020 when she shifted into those new roles at Johnston Dental Care. Amanda served as Interim HR Administrator and continues to serve as Johnstons Marketing Director, as well as their Employee/Community Engagement Ambassador. Amandas love for dentistry and her patients are relentless. DeMoss has always stated that dental hygiene has always been a calling, not a job. When she is not at the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family. Being on a lake and watching Murphy and Davis play ball are her favorites.

Katie is originally from Simsboro, Louisiana and graduated from Simsboro High School in 2015. She joined the Johnston Dental Care Team in January 2020. Katie is engaged to Noah Landry and is currently planning her wedding on October 3, 2020. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping with her mom, and going to the lake.

Alyssa is a Ruston native, who graduated from Ruston High School in 2017. She joined the Johnston Dental Care Team in early 2020 after graduating dental assistant school. Alyssa also has a passion for working with young girls at the Louisiana Methodist Childrens Home. In her down time, she loves going hiking with her dog Baby Roux.

Sidney, a Ruston native, has been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist since May 2018. She earned her B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in 2015. She then went on to graduate from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, receiving her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene in 2018. Sidney practiced in Metairie, Louisiana for 2 years as a dental hygienist. She and her husband, Doctor Murphy, joined our Johnston Dental Care team in June 2020. When she is not at the office, Sidney enjoys running, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with their dogs, Remi and Benelli.

Nikki is originally a native of Florida. She has been practicing dental hygiene for 18 years and 14 of those years were with Johnston Dental Care. She recently rejoined Johnston Dental Care in 2020. Nikki obtained her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She currently resides in Choudrant, Louisiana with her husband and their four children Slade, Alyssa, Hayden, and Madeline. Nikki enjoys spending time outdoors, on the water, and with her family, friends, and dogs.

Mallory is from Castor, Louisiana. She earned her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from University of Louisiana at Monroe in May of 2019. She joined our team shortly after graduating. Mallory currently resides in Farmerville with her husband Turner and their dog, Hallie. Mallory enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

Physicians have relied on computerized axial tomography scans (CAT) for years. Today, many dentists rely on 3D imaging scans to provide a detailed view of the mouth and skull. 3D scans are quick and simple to perform. A Cone Beam Imaging System is at the heart of the 3D scanner. The cone beams are used to take literally hundreds of pictures of the face. These pictures are used to compile an exact 3D image of the inner mechanisms of the face and jaw. The dentist is able to zoom in on specific areas and view them from alternate angles.

3D x-rays provide our team a more comprehensive view of your entire mouth which helps us locate issues that arent always identifiable in a 2D image. With our CEREC technology, we can take a digital impression of your mouth, digitally design your restoration, mill your new ceramic crown and place the crown in one sitting, rather than having to send your physical impressions out to a lab to make your crown. Our tooth-colored restorations are metal-free, long-lasting, and extremely durable. With our same-day crowns service, there is no temporary crown involved, and you can leave our office the same day with your permanent crown and tooth.

We've taken the next step in the progression of delivering crowns and straightening teeth in the quickest, most advanced way possible. Our new 3Shape video scanner now eliminates the need to take impressions (molds) in most cases. This intraoral scanner takes a video scan of your mouth, providing highly accurate virtual images. The benefit is that we no longer need to put goopy stuff in our patients' mouths, often causing a gag reflex, to get these impressions. This scanner improves the patient experience while at the same time increasing the quality of the impressions we use for Same-Day-Crowns and SuperFast Invisalign services.
