Dr. Alvi earned a bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering as well as his dental degree at the University of Minnesota. Today, he frequently completes continuing education to refine and grow his clinical skills, including courses covering endodontics (root canals), dental implant restorations, childrens dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. He also has advanced training in Level 2 oral conscious sedation.
Dr. Alvi and his wonderful wife, Ayesha, stay very busy at home thanks to their two boisterous boys. When not helping patients, he likes to stay active by running and cycling. On the flip side, he also has a passion for baking dessertshis attention to detail and creativity can be seen in the various treats he creates just like his dentistry.
Dr. Assemu went through multiple episodes of severe dental pain when he was younger, and, already interested in working in the medical field, these experiences caused him to consider dentistry in particular. All these years later, hes extremely satisfied with his chosen career, and he says its extremely fulfilling to help patients like himself get out of pain and avoid more problems in the future. He also likes that the profession allows him to spend plenty of time with his family.
