Recently my previous dentist had sold his practice, so I was looking for somewhere closer and had a small family dentistry feel. I saw on the reviews for Dr. Highsmith multiple comments about her rude husband/office manager and brushed them off. We'll turns out that guy is as terrible as mentioned in all the reviews! I made my appointment months ago and they told me they accepted my insurance. So when I arrived for my appointment, her husband rudely informed me that either I had to pay out of pocket ($300) or they couldn't take me even though they accepted my valid insurance. I have a reimbursement plan thru my insurance and never once was it a problem for my previous dentist. But according to this tyrant, I had to pay out of pocket then because they "couldn't trust me to pay my bill" if we waited for the reimbursement (which is how I've always done it with my previous dentist). Also, why couldn't he notify me of this issue BEFORE I took time off of work?! Like he knew about this being an issue and didn't care to inform me before hand. And then when I said that I'm not coming out of pocket $300 today, he was so condescending and dismissive. He talks down to people. He's a poor office manager/secretary. I can't comment on how Dr. Highsmith is herself because I promptly left after dealing with that rude husband. I'll find another dentist, I have always had good experiences with my dentists and really enjoy going. So after that bad start, I'm not going back.

This place is amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. The dental hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and provided me with lots of tips to keep my teeth healthy. They offer laughing gas for an additional charge if you're a nervous nelly. Highly recommend! Bonus: you get to watch tv while they are cleaning your teeth and they even have a tv on the ceiling!

I needed a cleaning and called to schedule an appointment. Their first available appointment was 3 months out. No big deal. I schedule it. They call me the day before that appointment and tell me the dentist is sick and won't be in and they reschedule it for another 3 months out. The morning of that appointment they call me and tell me they won't have a dental hygienist in and ask to reschedule. They again scheduled it another 2-3 months out. I go to my appointment that's been rescheduled multiple times 8 MONTHS LATER! Just for them to tell me they don't have me on there schedule for today. They offered to schedule me for next week but at this point I'm done trying to use this clinic. I've taken off of work/left work for these appointments. Whoever that is in charge of scheduling needs to get it together. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'll find a different dentist.

We've moved quite a few times over the past 20 years and have visited a handful of different dentists. We've had wonderful dentists in the past but Dr. Highsmith is, by far, our favorite. She's professional, intelligent, thoughtful and kind. She does excellent dental work and goes above and beyond to educate me and make me feel at ease. Furthermore, her office is impeccably run. I can only imagine how difficult it is to coordinate schedules, cancellations and insurance claims. They seem to manage this better than any office we've visited in the past. Needless to say, I'd definitely recommend Dr. Highsmith and I'd definitely recommend her staff!

I would NOT recommend this dentist. Called to schedule an appointment for a cleaning, gave my insurance information and said they accepted my insurance. Waited a month for a cleaning and took time off of work to come to the appointment. I get here and was told by a man ( the dentist husband) that they do not take my insurance and I would have to pay out of pocket!! When I asked why someone told me they actually did accept my insurance, he rudely told me that he had to fire a former employee and they must of told me false information! This office clearly has communication issues and no organization want so ever. Not to mention, rude!! Don't waist your time!

I had the best experience here!! I was driving through town when I chipped a tooth! They were so accommodating and kind! The office manager went out of his way to fit me in! He was super friendly and helpful! The rest of the staff were kind, and Dr. Highsmith was amazing! She was quick and knowledgeable and made me feel secure in what she was doing! This experience made me feel like it may be worth driving down here for my regular appointments! I would highly recommend Dr. Highsmith and this office!!

I think Dr. Highsmith and dental staff is amazing, but her husband who is the office manager is rude, disrespectful and doesn't know how to treat patients. My husband and I had been going to this practice for almost 8yrs but have decided to change because of how awful he is to deal with.

DO NOT USE THIS DENTAL OFFICE!! Would give zero stars if possible. They are money hungry thieves and liars. The office manager, Brent Highsmith, (who is the dentists husband) is the rudest person we have ever dealt with from a business. He is a condescending awful person, who has no business working in customer service. Apparently their office policy is that you have to cancel an appointment 48 hours before it is scheduled. However, this is not posted on their website anywhere. In fact, the only time this is presented is in the initial paperwork you sign during your first visit. So 3 years ago in our case. Now this would be no problem if it was their policy to send out reminder texts more than 48 hours in advance. Most people do not remember an appointment they made 6 months ago, so the reminder texts are important. They do send out these texts, they just don't do it before 48 hours. Which would be incredibly easy for them to do. But why would they do that when their system is set up to charge you whether you can make the appointment or not? I called more than 24 hours from our appointment time, after receiving the reminder the night before. I spoke with the front office woman who was very friendly and said it was no problem to cancel our 4 appointments (me and my 3 kids). So, imagine this, I thought it was no problem! My kids had missed a lot of school recently due to quarantines caused by them sitting near kids who tested positive for Covid and I didn't want to pull them right back out for something else. One week later, we receive a bill for $140 from the office. Obviously we were surprised, as there had been absolutely ZERO mention of incurring a charge when I canceled the appointments. My husband called and spoke with Brent Highsmith and was treated very rudely and told that we had signed something stating there was a 48 hour cancellation policy when we first became patients, 3 years prior, and we should have remembered. So basically, they purposely DO NOT send out the reminders in time for someone to cancel without penalty, then they don't have their employees notify the patients that they will be billed a fee if they cancel, giving them the opportunity to reconsider their cancelation. Which I absolutely would have kept the appointments, had I known. Deceptive and greedy. So we had to pay the fee. But we will be taking our business and money to a company with some morals. They should be ashamed.

I've been going there 7 years. I called the day before to change the date of a teeth cleaning. Dr Highsmith decided to make her husband the manager, big mistake and conflict of interest. He's was rude and not very helpful. To my suprise, I got a $35 charge for "failed schedule appointment". I changed my appointment to another date 23 hours before. They have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Unbelievable! I'll never go there again!
