Dr. Courtney attended Georgetown University and received his dental degree in 1982. After graduating, he served for three years in the National Health Service Corps, in rural central Florida. He then opened his private practice in Boca Raton in 1985. He has lectured nationally to dental study groups and societies on implant aesthetics and reconstructive dentistry and has acievedthe distinguished status ofClinical Instructor at the Kois Center in Seattle, which is a prestigiousclinical teaching program for Dental excellence offering the latest advances in Dental education.
Dr. Courtney knows that it is essential for him to pursue continuing education courses so that he is able to provide his patients with the most effective, up-to-date, and proven dental treatments, techniques, and options. His passion for dental science has compelled him to earn more than 2500 hours of continuing education credits by participating in and attending seminars, study groups, and conferences.
Dr. Courtney is a native of Boston, MA, and has called Boca Raton, FL, his home for 34 years. He and his wife, Brit, have two adult children, John and Amanda. When not in the office, Dr. Courtney enjoys hiking and backpacking in the mountains, traveling, and visiting his children.Other passions include fishing and boating off the Florida coast.
My profession means that I have the opportunity to affect patients' lives by increasing their self-esteem. This ability is a blessing and offers great rewards and a sense of accomplishment. My profession has also given me the opportunity to share my experiences with fellow colleagues and to also gain knowledge from them. Both avenues have improved my patients' experiences and results. When Dr. Chad M. Kamel turned 19, he took a job working in a dental office. Eight years later, he graduated from dental school. He found his passion for being a dentist at an early age and avidly pursued it; that passion has not waned and Dr. Kamel continues to seek out opportunities to learn and to impart his own knowledge to others in the dental field. While he loves having the ability to change his patients' lives, Dr. Kamel also loves the close, personal relationships that he develops with them, finding the interactions to be rewarding and fulfilling. Each day at his office means the opportunity to bring about lasting, positive changes for those he cares about and to spend time talking and catching up with the patients who have become his friends.
Dr. Kamel is a strong proponent of continuing education; each year he completes more than 450 hours of C.E. through lecturing, teaching, and attending courses. He knows that only by staying at the forefront of the dental field he is able to provide his patients with the latest in effective, pain-free dental treatments and treatment options.
A national lecturer on topics including dental occlusion, aesthetics, implant surgery, implant restoration, treatment planning, dental photography,and managing complications, Dr. Kamel is widely respected by his peers. He also was an associate professor and the Division Chairman of Prosthodontics at the University of Florida AdvancedEducation in Dentistry Residency in Miami, Florida. In addition, he contributedas thecourse director for Fixed Prosthodontics and Removable Partial Dentures. Dr. Kamel also served as thecourse director for the curriculum in dental occlusion and advanced topics in restorative and prosthodontic dentistry.
Currently, Dr. Kamel is appointed to the position of Department Headof Surgical Services, and the Director of Implant Dentistry. In this role, he guides the complex prosthodontic and implant treatment plans for the Florida Institute of Advanced Dental Education in Miami, Florida. Here he trains the residents in complex treatment planning, esthetic dentistry, dental photography,implant dentistry, and prosthodontics. He has contributed to the program for the past four years and currently enjoys seeing residents and local colleagues grow in their experience and confidence.
Currently Dr. Kamel lives in Weston, FL, with his wife Sandraand their two daughters, Sierra and Vienna. Dr. Kamel is a native of Lindenhurst, NY. He enjoys keeping busy when not in the office, pursuing running, fishing, photography, and videography. However, Dr. Kamel is happiest when hes with his family, laughing, sharing stories about their days, and just relaxing.
Ally always puts our patients needs first and foremost. She works closely with Dr. Kamel and is there to help a patient understand whats happening and why. She loves building one-on-one relationships with each patient, learning about their lives and interests. Ally lives with her son, Daniel, and enjoys working out, taking Daniel to the beach, and watching movies. She also likes going out to dinner and reading.
Christina makes sure our patients feel welcome and at home the minute they arrive!She works with patients on treatment planning, financial arrangements, and ensures they get the most from their insurance benefits. Christina has a teenage son and frequently travels to Colombia to visit her parents who retired there. When not working, she enjoys reading, the outdoors and being with her close friends.
Elaines calmness helps patients feel safe and relaxed. She enjoys taking patients from unhealthy mouths to healthy, beautiful smiles, and teaching them to maintain those smiles. Elaine provides gentle dental cleanings, patient education, and is a liaison between doctor and patient. Elaine and her husband of more than 25 years, Romi, love traveling, especially taking their RV to Maine. The couple is excited that Romis daughter, her husband, and two granddaughters are now living in Charlotte, NC, after residing in Cape Town, South Africa, for many years.
Rosa greets our patients with a genuine smile: she looks forward to catching up with her friends! Working at the front desk, she helps patients schedule visits at times that work with their busy lives. She also keeps the hygiene schedule organized and makes sure patients come in for their follow-up visits. Rosa was born in Cuba. She and her husband, Raymond, look forward to traveling there. The couple loves overseas travel, with Spain and France being their favorite places so far!
Sandy loves meeting our new patients; she works closely with Dr. Courtney and has done so for more than 15 years. One of her greatest joys, when it comes to her work, is seeing the excitement and happiness on a patients face after a full mouth reconstruction has been completed. In her free time, Sandy enjoys traveling and is an avid fan of both classic and kung fu movies.
Theresa loves our patients' diversity; with each patient comes an opportunity to learn something and to share stories and laughter. She has a very gentle touch when it comes to dental hygiene and is particularly reassuring with our younger patients. At home, Theresa lives with her husband, Bruce. Between them they share five children. She is passionate about cooking, especially Italian dishes. She also enjoys walking, working out at the gym, and watching movies.Theresas favorite times, though, are spent traveling with her family.
