I love working in the healthcare field because I enjoy working with patients to improve their overall health. I've started my journey as a home health aide, then inhospice care, and worked my way up as a health coach. Now I've changed my direction to dental care and I'm excited to learn and grow into this exciting field of healthcare. I hope the knowledge and skills I've learned in the medical field and currently in the dental field will prepare me to excel when I get my masters in Public Health. In my spare time, I love to read new books, go biking, travel and explore new places. I also love to express myself creativelyby dancing, singing, and painting.

Following the 2011 opening of Dr. Mapess first office, Williamsburg Smile Design, it became clear that the perfect location for his next office was in the nearby Queens neighborhood of Long Island City.

Great service but terrible office. They said I was in-network after asking them to confirm. They did and either lied or don't understand the definition, and now I'm saddled with out-of-network costs. Again, the doctors are great, but do not trust their billing team. Edit: And now they're cherry picking and gaslighting. I was there four times and I called to follow-up to confirm if I was covered BEFORE going in for the first one using my correct insurance information. Sorry I don't want to give a stranger who calls me on the phone my SSN. Even if you claim that you didn't have enough time to make that determination before the first appointment, explain that for the second, third or fourth time.

Poor dental work and abysmal office management! I had a routine filling fall out after just two months. I called the office on Monday and spoke to Monica, who insisted that the only doctor who can do work for me will be available Wednesday. I come in for my appointment only to be told that, actually, this appointment is an evaluation and I have to RETURN WITH MY GAPPING HOLE, on another day. This all was decided before my appointment but the office manager did not believe that I needed to know. And guess what, they will get away with this because what power do I have accept to turn to another office and pay for this filling AGAIN!

The staff was very warm and friendly. Courteous and professional. The receptionist (Monica), the cleaner and the dentist (Jeffery) all were super friendly. I went in for a cleaning. Including the time for the x-rays, the total time I was being serviced was under an hour. The cleaning took around 30 mins.

AVOID. I had 2 wisdom teeth removed here. After 3 days, the pain & swelling started to increase so I called CSD on day 4 to ask for some guidance on what to do. The receptionist relayed the dentists reply - "everything seems normal." 2 days later, in blinding pain, I raced to the Flushing ER. A long day of blood tests, CT scans & semi-barbaric oral surgery. Every RN & Oral Surgeon I spoke to all said the same thing, there's nothing "normal" about the pain & swelling increasing after 3 days. The surgeon told me that this abscess could've been 'life-threatening" and he was glad that I came in when i did. So my overall take on CSD is that they were really great at keeping my appointment$ booked, following up on booking new appointment$ and making sure that they alway$ had work to do on my teeth. But when it came down to giving me guidance outside of their bu$ine$$ model, they failed me terribly.

Love Court Square Dentistry! The entire staff is very friendly and make you feel at ease during your visit! In the past I have waited over an hour in the waiting room but here I have never waited more than 10 minutes to see the hygienist. I am able to go for my cleaning on my break and work and make it back on time. They also offer a great dental plan, highly recommend!

Great dentists, frustrating reception staff. I set an appointment one month in advance and told them I switched insurance. They told me they would look into that closer to the date. I was called 3 times over the coming weeks asking to move my appointment up, which I declined. One day prior, I was called to confirm I would be coming in, and that was all. 30 minutes prior to my appointment, they told me to come in 15 minutes early because they couldn't confirm my insurance info. At my appointment, they informed me they weren't sure I was covered under their plan, and it would take up to 15 days to confirm. When I said I wish they told me this ahead of time, I was told that it was my mistake for not informing the receptionist on the call the day before that I switched insurance (I had told her during my first call to set up the appointment, she never asked in any subsequent call). I was then told I was wasting their time, so I left. It's a shame because the dentists here are so fantastic.
