Originally from central New York, Dr. Schadel received his undergraduate Biomedical Sciences degree from the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Schadel continued his education by attending dental school at the University at Buffalo, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with an oral and maxillofacial surgery academic concentration. He graduated at the top of his class with summa cum laude honors and was also elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Following dental school, Dr. Schadel completed a one-year oral and maxillofacial internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Schadel then moved to Charleston, South Carolina to complete a four-year hospital-based residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Medical University of South Carolina. He obtained the highest in-service exam score in his program multiple times and served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. While in residency, Dr. Schadel authored a textbook chapter as well as contributed to the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. He has trained with the most advanced and cutting edge technology allowing him to provide individualized treatment plans for each patient. His interests in oral and maxillofacial surgery include wisdom teeth removal, dental implant surgery, bone grafting, facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, oral pathology, and office-based anesthesia. Extensive training in anesthesia allows Dr. Schadel to provide comfortable and safe care for his patients.
Dr. Castillo is from Snyder Texas and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. From there, he went on to complete his Medical Doctor and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.

I had to have a root canal that eventually failed and had to be extracted. During this process I had to go to four separate dentists/endodontist/oral surgeon. This is the only way that I felt actually took care of me. They were friendly, and took the time to explain everything. Would highly recommend.

I went in to get my wisdom teeth pulled plus three other problem teeth. Dr. Elias was very professional and caring. Overall I had an excellent experience and would recommend this office to others.

Dr. Elias and Quinn were so incredibly professional and kind, I was always informed as to what was going on and why. I have to give Quinn some extra appreciation, as Quinn was great at helping me stay distracted while the IV was inserted (I have a fear of needles). The care instructions for my procedure were all very clear and provided in a easy-to-follow format. I also received a follow-up call from Dr. Elias after the procedure ensuring that I was doing alright. The only thing that I would have changed about this process would've been that it would've been nice to be able to pay in increments, but I was able to save up for the procedure on my own, and that had very little effect on me personally. My experience was extremely positive, and I very much appreciate the attention to detail and care that I received!

Dr. Thomas Elias and team at the Council Bluffs office was excellent. I traveled 85 miles for the closest in-network oral surgeon. On my first consult since I traveled a distance Dr. Elias was able to complete extraction and bone graft placement on the same day as my consult to reduce my # of visits. He was able to put my concerns at ease due to chronic immunosuppression and multiple failed root canals with frequent antibiotic treatments on the tooth prior to my procedure. Thank you so much for your expertise and compassion.

I had an "emergency" appointment with the dentist at CB oral surgery. They got me in quickly thank goodness. I had an abscess & ended up having 3 teeth pulled (2 wisdom). I chose full sedation & have never have been under anesthesia before. I was a nervous wreck. I saw Dr. Castillo & nurse Laura. They eased my fears tremendously. They could tell my anxiety was high & gently walked me through everything that would happen. Before I knew it I was up & leaving. It was so quick! I'm on my road to recovery & much to my surprise I've been in no pain, just slightly swollen. Not visible from the outside of my mouth. I have put this procedure off for over 5+ years because of the anxiety I have! For the first time in 5+ years I'm pain free. I could cry! If you're needing to have dental work done I highly recommend this clinic. Thank you Dr. Castillo & nurse Laura!!
