Dr. Todd Groesbeck hails from the exotic land of Provo, UT. He went to BYU and graduated in mechanical engineering, had his mid-life crisis early and redirected his course to dentistry. He went to dental school at OHSU in Portland, OR where he thrived. In 2012, he graduated with his DMD as one of the very top in his class, with honors and awards in implant dentistry. He chose general dentistry so he could do a variety of procedures.
Dr. Corbin Matthews grew up in Provo, Utah. He attended Timpview High School and Brigham Young University. In 1999, he received his dental degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He graduated at the top of his class and received awards of excellence in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He also was the recipient of the OKU award, given to select students for excellence in academics. Dr. Matthews has been practicing in the Utah County area for over 13 years and has continued his training to include all aspects of dentistry, including wisdom teeth removal, implant surgery, oral conscious sedation and laser surgery.
Dr. Matthews comes from a family of dentists including: his father, Gary Matthews; his older brother, Blake Matthews; and his younger brother, Jeremy Matthews. Dr. Matthews is married to Lizzi Matthews and they have five children: Shay, Gracy, River, Linkin, and Rockwell. We at Cougar Dental are excited to have Dr. Corbin Matthews join us at our practice, and he looks forward to caring for you and your family!

I went in because I had 2 spots that were bothering me, which a previous dentist recommended I keep an eye on. When I arrived at Cougar Dental they took X-rays, and told me I needed 27 fillings, 2 crowns and a root canal, for a grand total of 6 hours in the chair and far more than my insurance could take. I decided to get a second opinion, and the next dentist I went to said only 2 fillings were required. In Cougar Dental's defense, they weren't necessarily falsifying claims, they were just very aggressive with treatment. The second dentist said that that decay had reached the root, but that a root canal was still avoidable with a filling and reduced sugar intake. Cougar dental recommended crowns on 2 teeth that "tend to get fragile", the other dentist acknowledged that those teeth had the potential to get fragile, but saw no need for crowns at the time. If your teeth are fine, then Cougar Dental will work fine for you. If you tend to have teeth problems, then I would recommend seeing a more conservative dentist for a second opinion before committing to more extreme measures.

I don't really like going to the dentist, but Cougar Dental makes it alright. They seem to know what they're doing, they make sure you know what's up too, etc. Plus, if you have a checkup with no cavities, they usually give you a coupon for J-Dawgs. I'd certainly recommend Cougar Dental to a friend who asked.

I've tried several dentists since living in Utah for a decade. I end up coming back to Dr. Groesbeck every time I try someone new (due to moving and trying someone local). Back to Cougar Dental every time, and I gladly drive the 35 minutes twice a year for my family's appointments because I think he's a great dentist.

I have been really impressed by Cougar Dental. I have been a customer here for years. One time I had a bad experience, and they promptly addressed the issue. This most recent time, the hygienist did an excellent, thorough job, and Dr. Groesbeck answered all my questions. I really appreciated how they provided me with information about products that might be able to solve my chronic issues. They are doing great things here.

Super fast service! They were great. They even texted me that I could get my cleaning half an hour early. And they gave me a voucher for J Dawgs since I didn't have a cavity. I highly recommend Cougar Dental!

I loved this dentist! They took some photos of my teeth and showed me what my teeth actually look like. I felt so much more motivation to practice good dental care. They were knowledgeable and friendly and I really loved my experience!!

Everyone's generally nice, but it felt like they kind of gave me a cold shoulder and let me feel their disapproval when I didn't want an x-Ray. I grew up getting one a year and my insurance only covers one, so I didn't want to pay for a second one when they suggested it. Anyways, just felt like they were trying to milk me for my money and were mad when I said no lol.

Great dental office, wonderful and warm experience. I've been using Invisalign trays to improve the alignment of my teeth, and it's been amazing! But that's not all, Drs. Groesbeck and Matthews and the entire staff are very kind and professional and have shown genuine commitment to solving my dental issues. They take time to listen and time to explain. I feel very valued as a patient at Cougar Dental. Highly recommend.

Great place! Super easy to schedule via text or call and in person treatment/service is excellent. Answered my random questions about tonsil stones and jaw pain. They also give you free lunch vouchers if you have no cavities.
