Dr. Awras Haddad is the perfect example of a person who is living the American dream to its fullest! Born in Budapest, Hungary, Dr. Haddad spent most of her childhood traveling between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. This rich cultural experience throughout her life enforced her love for meeting people and helped her build excellent interpersonal skills. Both of Dr. Haddads parents were university professors, which made her value science and education greatly.
Dr. Haddads last station before moving to America was in Baghdad, Iraq. There she spent her mid-20s studying dentistry. In addition to going to school, she worked with a non-governmental organization to advocate for women and human rights, which is still much needed in Iraq.
Having a voice in a country governed by a dictatorship, and suffering from ethnic, religious, and racial segregation, was a challenge and a huge risk for Dr. Haddad. She was one of many activists who were threatened with harm to her and her family if she didnt stop expressing her opinion. All this forced Dr. Haddad to look for a new home, in a new country. She couldnt think of a better place to live than the United States. Her new home country opened its door to her ambition, hard work, and determination. Once Dr. Haddad entered the United States, she embraced every moment and opportunity she found.
Dr. Haddad originally landed in Texas, which is now home to her and her family. She then moved to California after her acceptance to one of the most prestigious dental schools in the nation, the University of Pacific, Arthur A Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. After Dr. Haddad finished her education, she immediately settled down in Texas. Frisco magically attracted Dr. Haddad and her family and they are now proud to call it home!
Dentistry gives Dr. Haddad the chance to meet people and build relationships. Her motto is to build friendships, and along the way care for all her patients dental needs. As a local family-owned dental practice, Dr. Haddads main focus is on her patients experience and well-being. Nothing deters her from delivering the best care possible to her patients.
Dr. Haddad has twin boys who attend Frisco ISD Middle School. Both boys inherited many of their mothers traits and are known in the community for being very nice boys. They have a strong sense of determination and commitment, as they both finished 5 years of Taekwondo to earn their black belts. The boys are currently focusing on competitive swimming and just made it to the US swimming team. Dr. Haddads Husbands passion also lies in dentistry and is an endodontist (root canal specialist). He is a proud graduate of Texas A&M.
Dr. Haddad loves traveling and exploring different cultures and food. She enjoys sunshine and clear water! On the weekends, she spends her time with her family and friends doing a variety of activities. Dr. Haddads doors are always open for new guests!
