Dr. Fred Luedtke welcomes you to Cottage Dental. Dr. Luedtke absolutely loves treating the people of the community and helping them with all of their oral health and dental needs. Dr. Luedtke received his undergraduate training from Brigham YoungUniversity and graduated in 1997 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the esteemed Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Southern California. While in dental school, Dr. Luedtke was active in Student Government and also was selected as part of an implant study club, one of threestudents. Inhis senior year, Dr. Luedtke was selectedby his peers as the only student in the school to attend a prestigious seminarfor new dentists in Provo, Utah.

Dr. Luedtke has served as the South Davis District Dental Society President and has served as Delegate for the Utah Dental Association. Dr. Luedtke currently serves on the DATC advising board for the dental assisting program.

Dr. Luedtke has been practicing dentistry in Bountiful since January 1998. Inthe summer of 2000,he opened the doors to Cottage Dental, a unique practice in Davis County. He truly loves and respects his patients and is concerned with their health and wellness. He enjoys practicing in a comfortable, cozy, and state-of-the-art office where his patients'concerns are the most important objective. Dr. Luedtke is artistic and thoroughly enjoys the art and technique behind cosmetic dentistry.

It is super exciting working in a dental setting! I have always been interested and fascinated with this field which led me to do the Dental Assistant program at the DATC. At the time it was a 2 year program which allowed you to work at your own pace. It was so interesting to me that I flew through it in one year and soon after landed a job at Cottage Dental. There's nothing better than working chairside next to Dr. Luedtke. I love focusing on our patients and doing whatever it takes to make them feel comfortable and walk out feeling confident about their smile.

I've been married since 2004 and have two incredible kids and we are proud owners of an english bulldog named Tubbs. A fun little fact about me is that I am an identical twin and we are very close!!! I enjoy going to movies, hanging out with my family, playing games, shopping, and going out to eat.

Great dentist! Dr. Luedtke is very professional and friendly. He's also thorough and gentle. His whole staff are great to work with. My whole family goes here. You know it's a good dentist when we don't cringe when it comes time for our cleanings.

I CANT BELIEVE HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CLIENTS. As someone who works on phones all day I am APPALLED at how the receptionist treats people. I've had multiple unpleasant run ins with this woman who doesn't seem to understand medical conditions don't always act up at good times:). I had to cancel the day of my appointment due to a disorder I have that makes me throw up at times I don't plan. I called and made sure to cancel my appointment and to tell them I was very very sorry that this was happening. The next day I got a very rude phone call from miss receptionist karen (Janice) herself saying things like "are you actually going to try to come" and making light of my disease like I had made it all up. After rescheduling for another day she continued to scold me and tell me i "needed to respect the schedule" as if it was all fake. She then said have a great day in a very sarcastic voice and hung up on me. How can you feel ok treating people like that?

Go someplace else. Trust me. Dr. Luedtke is all smiles...until he isn't. When I experienced a sharp pain during a cleaning, he told me what he was doing shouldn't be hurting. So he continued doing it. When I reacted again, he was so frustrated with me and my pain that he abruptly informed my that the appointment was over and he got up and walked out. I left his office in tears as he stood by his receptionist and watched without saying a thing. I am still in shock about his unprofessionalism and complete and utter lack of compassion.

I've always loved going to Dr. Leudtke. He does a thorough cleaning and has a nice office and staff. I can hardly feel shots when I need them and he does a good job with fillings. I just don't know where all the abnormal reviews are coming from but most people that leave reviews are negative people or people that hate to see negative things being said about someone that they know is a stretch of the real truth. I would recommend cottage dental--I've gone there for years and never had any issues.

Dr. Leudtke is great! Very honest and kind. Didn't declare we needed cavities repaired if they weren't actually there. We also like his office staff.

I was treated very badly by the receptionist during my last visit. She was very unpleasant with me about the change to my insurance. When I expressed my frustration and mentioned that my children's dentist was able to file my claim with the very same information she was very rude. I ended up leaving before my exam and cleaning. I will not be going back.

DO NOT go to Dr. Leudtke. I am not one to complain on google reviews, in fact, I generally write positive reviews to recognize the work of great people. Dr. Leudtke seemed very nice and welcoming upon my first few visits. I went to get normal teeth cleaning and nothing went wrong until I had to have a procedure done. When I went back to express concerns about the procedure he completed after few months later (after coming back a few times already to address some concerns such as sores and bleeding on my tongue from the new tooth, I developed a gap in my front teeth which I never had previously), I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a medical professional in my life. Considering I am in the medical profession myself, it was incredibly poor bedside manner. He made me cry and feel like these were problems that were my fault. I could go on and on about what occurred but all I can do at this point is try to help others NOT have these bad experiences happen to them with their teeth. He said that I was "putting words in his mouth" and "he would never have said that or done that" Despite even if he did or did not do something, the patient should always be in the right and the medical professional should try to make that patient FEEL BETTER, NOT WORSE. It is the patients experience and it is REAL to them. During the conversation he was short, didn't take the time to even listen to my concerns and he got up and was even trying to walk out of the dental area while I was trying to express my concerns to him. Dr. Leudtke has created so much pain with my teeth, discomfort, tears, out of pocket costs these last few months and he had no sympathy at all to try to listen to my concerns when I addressed it with him. He did say that he would try to fix the issue but I told him I did not want him ever touching my teeth again. I have spoke to other dentists and received other dentists opinions regarding the pictures I have of the work he did and they are were appalled. I went to another trusted dentist to get a second opinion after being treated with such disrespect. I had to go pay out of pocket but at this point, I wanted to go to someone I trusted that I knew would not further damage my teeth. The dentist I went to that fixed my teeth was also not impressed at the work he had done. Unfortunately, Dr. Leudtke has damaged my teeth so much that I now also have to get more work done and the new dentist could barley fix what he had caused. The problem continues to persist based on the initial tooth and what he did to it. He also damaged a perfectly fine tooth that was next to the tooth he "repaired" as well, which also had to be replaced because of the poor work he did on the "repaired" tooth. My husband also went to Dr. Leudtke a few times for dental cleanings and also found him very painful during his cleanings and was not gentle in any way. I have never been so upset and this has impacted my life greatly. Please please please do not go to this dentist and if you do, rethink your image of him. He may seem like a. good guy at first but if you express yourself or his work, it will not be a great reaction. If you read his reviews, I am not the only one alarmed by his actions and similar things have occurred with other people.
