At Cossich Family Dentistry, we strive to ensure our offices are as convenient and efficient as possible. We proudly serve Covington and the nearby communities of Mandeville, Folsom, Abita Springs, Madisonville and Slidell.
Graduating first in his class at Buras High School in 1978, Dr. Cossich continued his educational pursuits under a full academic scholarship at Tulane University in New Orleans where he earned two degrees; a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Upon graduating with honors with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from LSU School of Dentistry in 1987, Dr. Cossich continued honing his clinical skills by spending the next two years in a post-graduate, advanced training program at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Upon completing this program, Dr. Cossich went into private practice and that is where he remains today.
Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New Orleans Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy for Sports Dentistry, the American Dental Association, The Louisiana Dental Association, the Christian Dental Society, the American Dental Implant Association and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. Dr. Cossich is committed to continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance his skills to better serve the dental care needs of his patients and provide them with gentle and comfortable dental experience.
Dr. Cossich was born and raised in Louisiana, the son of parents who were both school teachers. Even though education was of the utmost priority during his childhood years, his parents also realized the importance of social interaction and outdoor activities in preparing a child for transition to adulthood. To this day, he credits his upbringing for his love of people and his appreciation for the beauty of the outdoors.
'My immediate family, the church and my dental family are the things that are most important to me,' says Dr. Cossich who has also earned certification as a Christian Counselor and who was recently ordained as a minister with his church. After 18 years in private practice on the West Bank of New Orleans, Dr. Cossich moved his family to Covington after Hurricane Katrina struck in late 2005. 'I love working with kids, coaching basketball, fishing, mountain biking, and water skiing on Lake Ramsey with my wife and family,' says Dr. Cossich.

Dr. Cossich,Jr was fantastic! I had no pain during my procedures and he took the time to explain to me in detail what needed to be done before hand and throughout the procedure. He truly cares about his patients! Thank you Doctor Cossich! P.S. His staff was also very helpful and caring about my needs.

New patient today! I was very pleased with how thorough my checkup was! They explained every step of the way what they were doing, and what they are going to do and why it is important. I have never experienced a dentist office like Cossich, the kindness from the moment I walked through the door until I left, and even after when they called to schedule my other appointments. I also have some cement still on my teeth from my braces and they are going to get me all cleaned up ! Very pleased for a first time visit, I'm not much for the dentist, but they made the experience so pleasurable I WANT to go back, not because I need to.

All of my children come here! The entire staff is wonderful, very friendly/kid friendly, and welcoming. Dr.Dimetry Jr. Is definitely amazing and great with the little kids as well. I definitely recommend to everyone!

Since I was a kid, every dentist I have been to has been frustrated with me and told me I have low pain tolerance because I was always in a lot of pain when they worked on my teeth. Today Dr Cossich Jr told me I have a rare extra nerve that he has only seen once before in his practice. Once he numbed that second nerve I was totally in shock how much of a difference it made. Grateful that he took the time and didn't just rush through. Everyone is so kind and shows interest in your life. Aryel was great and so informative! I can't recommend them enough!
