Just when I thought that quality of care and customer service was fading into the past, Cosmopolitan Dentistry (CD) has proven that my assumption was wrong. I have always brushed and flossed twice daily, due to an issue beyond my control, my teeth were literally rotting away, I had "meth-mouth" without ever being a "meth-head" . I saw my in-network dentist, the diagnosis was pull them all and replace with dentures. Dentist referred me to a local oral surgeon. I went round and round trying to schedule the referred surgeon or any oral surgeon for that matter. The in-network list had several practices listed that were no longer accepting my coverage, so that was part of the problem, the other part was even with insurance they wanted a pretty hefty amount of $$ up front before being seen. Being in a massive amount of pain combined with eating only soft foods out of frustration I sought a second opinion from a highly rated local dentist, cost me ($175.00) for 20mins and she agreed with original diagnosis. Finally when checking the revamped network list Cosmopolitan Dentistry was listed. They got me in the SAME day I called for initial appt. , no discussion of money, they showed compassion when not one of the other practices I called even asked about pain level or how I was feeling. CD even pulled a couple of teeth that were causing a lot of pain. Insurance had approved everything coming out, but hadn't yet approved anything going back in. CD worked with my insurance and finally I was able to get the procedure which entailed all remaining teeth extracted and new false teeth w/implants installed, leaving with a new smile is a pretty cool feeling. My other praise for CD is that just threw normal conversation when scheduling the procedure, I had mentioned a big family wedding coming up, without even asking, Dr. Cuellar almost demanded I have a nice smile for all the wedding pics and kicked in everything into high gear. Im glad to say that I couldn't smile wide enough at that wedding. Even though I would love too, I dont take opiates, CD worked with me concerning pain and non-narcotic medication options. Staff worked with me with my end of the financials, just fantastic professionals with genuine care and concern for me and I believe all the patients of their practice. I highly , highly recommend. If you need a crown, please go anywhere else. Doctors are great, but the staff doesn't really care if you can't breathe or are dry heaving from the medication used during the procedure. If you're uncomfortable during the procedure, you're just getting in the way of the staff doing their job, and they'll make that known to you. I recently had a cleaning here as well that was spectacular, but I guess it's a Jekyll/Hyde situation if you have to have more extensive work done.

My 10 minute drive turned into 40 minutes as I encountered 3 closed roadways, detours, and 17mph traffic. I called to let them know I was running late and was told to reschedule for a day I told the receptionist I could not take due to a multi-day EEG test. She offered me no other days or times. I told her of the traffic delays and she said, "that's no my fault!" Very defensively. Since I was driving through Aberdeen and nearly there, I asked if they could still take me since I was only getting a cleaning. She said she would ask the hygienist and the call was cut off. I don't know if she hung up on me or the call just dropped, but when I arrived, she accused me of hanging up on her. She was very rude and her tone dripped with sarcasm. She was mad at me for arriving, saying "I told you you had to reschedule." I repeated that I could not take the appointment she offered. I asked her to please listen to me. She was talking over me at this point repeating herself over and over. Then, she disappeared and another woman opened the clinic door and was angrily repeating everything the receptionist was saying. I felt ganged up on. I couldn't get a word in edgewise, I was panting and having asthmatic symptoms from being being a truck that was spewing dark exhaust on my very slow 40 minute drive to the clinic. I was 19 minutes late, but I have waited longer than that in this office before. When I mentioned that little bit, the second woman, whom I later found out was the office manager, well, that's when she got defensive and asked me to leave. The stress of the situation made my anxiety hit a level 10 and my body started to shut down. I put my head down on the counter, I was sweating so profusely (hot flash/menopause) it was dripping on the counter. I asked them to please stop talking because I felt like I was going to cry and felt faint, but she just kept asking me to leave. Yeah, that's some really poor medical care. I was in obvious distress, showing physical symptoms, but rather than being empathetic and taking care of me, like offering me a seat, a glass of water, anything...she asked me to leave. As I stumbled to the hall, she locked the door behind me! I couldn't believe it! Well, that was the final straw. I was insulted and angry. I didn't even get to reschedule my appointment! I was kicked out like trash! I coughed, dropped my bag, and screamed in frustration and utter disappointment that my fellow human beings could act this way toward me. I was able to get to my car despite the tunnel vision and took my meds, rescue inhaler, and had some chocolate because I felt my sugar was low. I started to drive away, but felt that was unsafe at that time. I went back to the clinic because I felt they owed me an apology. I wanted to complain to the dentist about his front office staff. They knew why I'd come back and weren't going to give a chance to tell my side of the story. The office manager would not let me in. Through the window glass, she threatened to call the police. I called her bluff and told her to go ahead because I had not threatened anyone. I was just criticizing the way they did business. She was the one threatening me with a police arrest! She seriously escalated the situation. She just wanted to get rid of me. Meanwhile, nearly a dozen employees gathered in the front office to gawk at me! Funny, they had time to stand around and stare, but they did mot have time to clean my teeth! How ironic and hypocritical.

I came to them because I was told over the phone they handled TMJD situations. Simply not true. I'd been to one specialist who told me to NEVER let anyone shave my teeth and alter my bite. I went through many fillings. The dr drills them and leaves and doesn't come back. The assistant then fills them and checks the bite. All my fillings have ridges and left me with sensitivity so I could no longer water floss. This lead to more decay. The fillings on the surface of my teeth were always done high. When coming back multiple times to get them fixed it always involved the assistant shaving off surface of other teeth to compensate. Never with warning. This is a huge issue. After this happened the very last time I came back 2 times because the tooth was so sensitive i couldn't drink lukewarm water. I was met with more shaving of the tooth which was extremely painful . the dentist (father) comes in and is clearly annoyed. He asks me a question in a firm tone and while I'm answering him he cuts me off and speaks to me in a tone that made me feel reduced to nothing. I start getting emotional because I've been in pain for 3 years with no one helping me or truly listening to me. I told dr I didn't want any other teeth shaved and that the tmj dr said never to do that. He then said to me "we'll why are you taking the advice of someone you didn't seek treatment with huh, so you obviously didn't value his opinion" the truth is that I couldn't afford the treatment. But I valued his opinion on the matter. Dr cuellar and his staff were reckless during these last few appts. My tooth was reduced so much it doesnt come close to touching the lower. It looks as if it's been prepared for a crown. That day through my bite off so much I have been in daily horrendous pain. I sought treatment with another "specialist" he referred me to and that was a scam. Since my last appointment where he shaved other teeth down my jaw has been clicking. I now have a worn joint bone that I can never get back. He and his staff have ruined my life. The depression I live with daily because of this office is debilitating. I now have an out of network dentist who does all the work himself, truly listens and has had to fix fillings dr cuellars staff botched. My bite is being addressed by an orthodontist, and muscular issues stemming from them altering my bite so heavily is being addressed by a PT. However, I'm sure there with be no accountability if their office manager reads this. Seems this office is for profit and not to truly help. I'm facing $20,000 worth of work now to help correct what they have done to me without a guarantee this will get me out of pain.

Decided to try Cosmopolitan bc I didn't like my other "in network" dentist. They told me I needed all of my old cavities replaced even though I had NO PROBLEMS with my teeth. I trusted them and allowed them to do one side of my mouth, It's been 4 months, 4 adjustments by them (only once did the actual dentist come out to help) and I still cannot chew on that side and have extreme sensitivity to hot and cold. I've NEVER had problems with my teeth before, EVER. I've since then seen a new dentist and was told that the X-rays Cosmo took were just fine, and my teeth should never have been touched. I'll be getting a root canal with my new, very trust worthy "out of network" dentist bc of what cosmo has caused. I'm at least thankful that my money is going to someone who has human decency and not someplace like cosmopolitan. If they try to tell you the same, GET A SECOND OPINION! Also, just bc they are in network, doesn't make them cheaper! The cost of all the fillings they told me I needed and now with the root canal, they have caused me a great amount of money. Had I gone to the trustworthy out of network provider first, I would have saved THOUSANDS AND WOULDN'T HAVE ENDURED MONTHS OF PAIN.

I went here the first time and they said I had four cavities. One was in my wisdom tooth, so they wanted to pull it. I made an appointment and came back. They applied Nitrous. I didn't feel it right away, so they turned it up and walked away. I got so high I couldn't take it off my nose and when I finally did, I had a full blown panic attack. The doctor grabbed my face and told me to calm down. They put the nitrous back on and pulled my wisdom tooth. The doctor drilled out the other 3 small cavities and his assistant filled them. I said, "Not to be rude, but doesn't the dentist normally fill them?" She said, "We wouldn't steer you wrong." Well they hurt a lot, so after about 10 days I called to tell them. They said "That's normal. Give it time." It's been about 4 months and I can't chew on either side without considerable pain. Drinking hot or cold drinks hurts a lot too. I will never be back!!!

I had a good experience with this dental practice. The front was kind. The lady who gave me the numbing shots was gentle, professional and precise (and I never felt the three shots!!) The dental assistant was kind, professional and serious about her work. The dentist was to the point, confident and did the job. I'm greatful to have found this dental office. Thanks Cosmopolitan Dentistry.

This is my story .. To start. I have always been told I have a great smile. People would often ask if I wore braces when I was younger (which I didn't) .. Always taking proper care of my teeth. So a couple years back I went to have my wisdom teeth pulled which went well. Shortly after I noticed when I was closing my mouth my front teeth would catch and click so I went back and had the Dr take a look.. He explained i need a bite adjustment. So having faith in the Dr he went ahead and did the bite adjustment on my front teeth. What he didn't inform me of was that over the coarse of the next couple years my teeth would be ever changing. Four front teeth on the top and four front teeth on the bottom have been chipping away and wearing at an accelerated rate due to the dr grinding off to much enamel .. So here I am left with teeth I dont want anyone to see. self conscious of my smile now. Chipped , jagged , worn out teeth at to young an age. at 45 I am in fear of loosing all my natural front teeth .. left trying to find out which cosmetic dentist I can trust.

Dentist was very good- the staff were like ambulance chasers and rude. At one point they told me if l canceled again l wouldn't be allowed to make another appointment. That was pretty Down right and dirty. Especially when my insurance had paid a big chunk of money and the tooth implant was in process of being made in order to complete the procedure.
