With all the talk lately about eating clean and going green, its no wonder that more and more people are assuming a greater responsibility for their own health and what substances are being put into their body by way of seemingly harmless substances such as vaccinations or dental fillings. Years ago, who wouldve thought substances that were approved by the FDA and ADA could possibly be harmful? Isnt their sole job to protect us? Wed like to think so, but that just simply isnt the case. Its time to develop a new way of thinking so that you can protect yourself and your family from any further stress or damage.

The mindset of a holistic dentist is a little different than that of a traditional dentist. We consider the mouth to be the portal to the rest of the body. If the health of your mouth and teeth is not ideal, that could be linked to other health concerns that you may be having. Holistic dentistry is also generally known to be metal and mercury free because we believe that these materials can sometimes be VERY hazardous to your health.

Safe removal of mercury (amalgam) fillings: Mercury is a very toxic substance and must be handled with EXTREME care. We follow a special protocol developed by the IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology) to ensure the safety of our patients and staff during the procedure. We are also trained in the proper disposal of this hazardous waste to be certain that it is not making its way out into the environment.

Mercury-Free: Along with being mercury-safe, we do not use any products in the office that contain mercury. Also, we always try to use metal-free materials whenever possible, although, there may be some cases where we have no other options.

Fluoride-free: We do not provide any fluoride treatments in the office. Fluoride is essentially a poison, most widely used as a pesticide. If large amounts of fluoride are ingested, it can not only cause enamel defects, but it is shown to be linked to more hazardous conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, thyroid and neurological disorders. There are, however, some cases where it may be prescribed in a topical form as a last resort if someones decay rate is very high and we have exhausted all other options.

Non-surgical periodontal treatment: Periodontal (gum) disease is an infection of the gum tissue that has a strong link to heart disease and stroke. We offer a non-surgical approach to managing mild to moderate periodontal conditions.

Use of biocompatible materials: We have done careful research and always try to use products and materials that will be least likely to cause any type of allergic or systemic reaction to our patients. We treat many patients that are chemically-sensitive and/or immune-compromised. For these patients, we always recommend having a Clifford Materials Reactivity Test done prior to any treatment. This test will check your blood against all of the dental materials currently available for use and tell us whether or not a specific material is suitable for you. In addition, all of our composite filling materials are BPA free!

I can't thank Cosmetic & Natural Dentistry enough for helping me get my brother in last minute for an emergency appointment. Jess at the front desk took our info and even called me back as she said she was going to. She was trying to figure out the insurance info and coverage. She went above and beyond in helping us. I had to personally meet her to thank her for taking the time to follow up with the insurance and ACTUALLY call me back. Lolli the office manager was also a pleasure and sat and explained payment plans and treatment options for him. You feel a welcoming and warm feeling when you come here so I moved my family to this dentist office now.

I am anxious about going to the dentist, but Dr. Meghpara was great. I did not even feel the needle--the best dentist in town. I highly recommend it. Lali explained the treatment planning in-depth, and Jessica was outstanding.

I called with a bad toothache as it was bothering me for three days. I described the problem and told them I was in pain they scheduled me for the next day but they called me back to try to get a cleaning in as well, I explained to them I had a bad toothache and wasn't in the mood for a cleaning on top of the toothache. When I arrived they asked for the money for the exame before I even got in the chair witch I paid 150 to be exact. I was told I either needed a simple tooth extraction or a root canal as I opted for the extraction until I was told the price 850 dollars to be exact nothing fancy just basic extraction with a numbing needle. Money up front no payment plans or nothing. So if you don't have dental insurance go else where more interested in the money than the well being of the patient. Show me the money honey

Had a cavity that was really giving me pain and my normal dentist said they were three weeks out. Three weeks is way too long. They had me in and filled the cavity that day and it only took about an hr. Dentist was friendly and most importantly GENTLE. Coming back in a week for a cleaning. Thumbs up!

Very unprofessional office person Lali insisted my daughter who was in pain pay for no show fees before she can be seen. My daughter called me in tears because she had exams that week and didn't have money to pay for this while in nursing school and explained that she had no memory of this no show but she does remember calling to reschedule. Beware this place cares about money only and Lali is extremely rude to patients!!!

I started going here when my past dentist didn't have time to fill a precovid cavity for my daughter. Soon after I had a root canal fail and needed to have my tooth extracted. Seeing as I'm terrified of the dentist, this was horrible news. If you're as afraid of the dentist as I am, this is the place you should be! They are kind, patient and nonjudgmental. My extraction went pretty easily and they even called to check up on my a few days later. They're highly recommended by me!!

I'm the first person to admit the dentist is my least favorite place - and having acquired insurance recently, I have been searching for a good dentist. In an emergency - I called CND and they got me in the very next day. Every person I encountered from the desk to the dentist was courteous, friendly and completely non-judgemental. Needless to say, I was on crutches and they accommodated me perfectly. Dr. Patel did a fantastic job and I can honestly say I look forward to returning for any procedure or check up. Thank you!

Attempted to setup an appointment. Full transparency on the call I informed them that I cannot have my breathing obstructed. They refused to see me. Discriminatory dentistry.
