For Dr. Scheir, his choice of future career came down to either becoming a dentist or an auto mechanic because he wanted to work with his hands and he decided that dentistry would keep his hands a bit cleaner in the long run! Today, he loves this line of work because it presents new and unique challenges constantly, and he really enjoys interacting with his patients too.
After completing his dental doctorate at New York University, Dr. Scheir attended a General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn to further expand his clinical skillset. Today, he has over 600 hours of continuing education credits! He is also a member of the following dental organizations:
Dr. Scheir is married with two grown children his son works in the private equity field and his daughter, Dr. Danielle Scheir, works right here at the dental office! He also has five wonderful grandchildren. When he isnt busy at work, one of his biggest hobbies is being a driver instructor for the Northern NJ Porsche Club. Teaching people how to drive on a closed-circuit track is really rewarding for him. He also likes to cook, ride his bike and motorcycle, play tennis and racquetball, and work out at the gym.
