Dr. Edward Camacho earned his DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center. He believes in continuing his education and training and that a dentists education should never cease. As a result, he has received extensive training in aesthetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, dental implant placement, orthodontics, computerized dentistry, and laser dentistry. Dr. Camachos continued education and completed cosmetic procedures has helped him establish himself as one of San Antonios leading cosmetic dentists. He has completed thousands of cosmetic procedures over the span of his 40 year career.

Hi I am Dr. Camacho and welcome to Cosmetic Dentistry of San Antonio. I was inspired to go into dentistry rather guided by my father. He had a brother who was a pharmacist and I have a cousin that is a physician and they kind of all took me to the side when I was young and kind of gave me an exposure of kind of what my options were. My dad particularly had noticed that as I was growing up I liked to put together model airplanes and model cars. I liked working with my hands. My father was actually quite a carpenter and woodworker. I was always helping him and I was doing things with my hands taking things apart sometimes things I should not have done but nonetheless I was always taking things apart and seeing how they worked, putting them back together and my father noticed, you really like working with your hands you really should think about going to be a dentist and I thought that was very interest and you know they took me to my family dentist who happened to be a friend as well, who gave me you know some advice about being a dentist when I first got out of school I purchased a practice. For about 8 years I was working solo and I was just beginning to get into cosmetic dentistry this was now like in 1984. Veneers had just come on to the screen and that really seemed very interesting to me and I also got trained in doing braces for orthodontists because I wanted to be able to create not only nice looking smiles but smiles that were totally functional as well, because if they were functioning well it would last long so those two things kind of happened all at the same time, so I started doing cosmetic dentistry and I kind of outgrew my first office and I moved a little bit down the street and continued on learning more and more about orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Cosmetic Dentistry of San Antonio which actually started as a separate entity in 2010 and since doing that it has evolved very much and has continued to expand. I was born and raised in San Antonio so this is my home town so this is certainly a place that I am comfortable with and I know the community well and the patients that I have treated that I have dealt with over my 40 year career, they have been more than patients they have been friends. June is our office manager and not only does she have an impressive background in dentistry, she is also Dr. Camachos wife! Originally from El Paso, TX and a UTEP graduate, June was a dental hygienist for 8 years and then attended dental school at the Health Science Center here in San Antonio, where she graduated in 1994. She also met Dr. Camacho in 1994 and the couple tied the knot in 1997 at their favorite vacation spot: Las Vegas!

Since shes always been in dentistry, June says the dental office feels like home to her and she finds special joy in helping others. She also loves blues music and silly movies and has a passion for supporting charities such as The Fistula Foundation and Smile Train. Junes motto in life and in work is: If everyone gives just a little, a huge impact can be made!

Brooke Wilson is an accounts manager and registered dental assistant for our office. She has been with us for almost a decade, and always comes to work with both a positive attitude and a love for our patients that we couldnt do without.

Dental work is very fulfilling for Stacey. She is passionate about helping patients reach their highest potential. Seeing them walk out the door with healthier, brighter, and more confident smiles is the reason for everything she does here in the office.

Originally from Hawaii, Shavana moved to San Antonio with the intention to advance her dental career. She has been a dental assistant for over 10 years, giving her a great deal of invaluable experience. She has been part of our team for over a year.

Her favorite part of working at CDSA is meeting and talking to different people and of course helping people smile! Outside of the office, she loves delving into photography and playing with her 3 dogs.

Originally from Dallas, Texas Aracely was raised in Eagle Pass and San Antonio. She has been a dental assistant for over 10 years, giving her a great deal of invaluable experience. She has been part of our team for over a year and her favorite part of working at CDSA is being able to help Dr Camacho make a beautiful smile a possibility for every patient!

Melanie is the receptionist at Cosmetic Dentistry of San Antonio. She has been with us for 4 years, and always comes to work with a smile on her face. Born and raised in El Paso, Melanie moved to San Antonio 6 years ago. She started at CDSA with no background of dentistry whatsoever but was given the opportunity to learn and grow with Dr. Camacho and team. Her favorite part of her job is greeting everyone with a smile when they first walk in, from existing to new patients everyone gets a smile! Out of work she enjoys spending time with her rescue pit-bulls and FaceTiming with her family in El Paso as much as possible.
