In 1999, Dr. Patrick Lucaci received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree from Makerere University, with credits from Queens University in Belfast and the Karolinski Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2009, Dr. Lucaci continued on to earn his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 2012. He then returned to UMKC and completed a year of General Surgery Residency in 2013 and earned his Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from UMKC School of Medicine in 2015.

Dr. David A. Jackson graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2011. He joined our team in 2017 and enjoys the opportunity to blend science and art to help patients achieve their vision of their optimal oral health. Dr. Jackson completed a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program that further trained him in comprehensive treatment planning, incorporating digital dentistry, and complete implant dentistry, both surgical and restorative treatment. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Outside of the office, Dr. Jackson enjoys activities with his family such as golf, bowling, and table tennis.

Dr. Akam grew up in North Kansas City and graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. He has a passion for helping others and places a special emphasis on patient experience. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and stays up-to-date with the latest developments in implant, cosmetic, aligner technology, and restorative procedures. When he is not in the office, Dr. Akam enjoys spending time with his wife Taban, and his two daughters: Ella and Mila. He is also a BIG Kansas City Chiefs fan!

Sharon has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from William Jewell College and over 20 years of experience working in the dental field. She looks forward to coming to work each and every day and loves getting to interact with new people. She delights in watching the team help patients attain the best dental health they can. Sharon is a dedicated animal shelter foster parent and loves animals. Away from the office Sharon is a mom of three grown children. Her passion is photography, and she enjoys horseback riding and traveling.

Morgan earned her Dental Assisting Certificate in 2016 from the Summit Dental Assisting Academy. She then completed her dation certification in 2020, as well as certifications in CPR and first aid. She joined our team in 2020, and always enjoys getting to know our patients. Morgan has also volunteered to help clean up the Missouri River and Highway 291 with her church! When not in the office, Morgan enjoys spending time with her daughter, working out, cooking, and trying new restaurants every month with her husband.

Molli completed her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Assisting in 2013. She then earned her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2016. Shes since earned certifications in sedation and expanded functions. She joined our team in 2017 and loves the opportunity to educate patients and motivate them to make positive changes. She looks forward to building relationships with her patients and seeing their oral health improve. Shes volunteered with Team Smile and the Missouri Mission of Mercy. Outside of the office, she enjoys watching scary movies, trying new restaurants, and visiting Union Station exhibits.

Savanna earned her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2019 after completing 2-years of studies at Mizzou. She is passionate about providing thorough and gentle dental care to all her patients. Savanna recently became a committee member of UMKCs Dental Hygiene Alumni Association in an effort to give back and connect with fellow hygienists. After work, she enjoys playing tennis, catching up on reality TV, and training for her new goal of running a half marathon.

Becca earned her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Assisting in 2018 from Ozark Technical Community College. While at OTC, she completed advanced training to earn her expanded functions certificates in restorative, orthodontics, fixed prosthetics, and removable prosthetics. She loves educating her patients to help increase their confidence and improve their oral health. When not in the office, Becca likes to workout and travel.

Brittney graduated with her Dental Assistants degree from Pinnacle Career Institute in 2019 and joined our team the same year. Since graduating, she has received additional training to become a Certified Sedation Assistant. She loves her position because it gives her the chance to learn something new every day and provides a great degree of personal fulfillment. Meeting with the many patients who come to our office gives Brittney opportunities to connect with a variety of different individuals and help them protect their smiles from oral health trouble. In her free time, Brittney loves being outdoors, running and exercising, and baking

Luis trained as a Dental Assistant (91 E) and Preventive Dental Specialist (X2 Dental Hygiene) in the United States Army. He joined our team in 2021, and brings over 25 years of experience. He has assisted mostly in oral surgery and sedation dentistry over the course of his career. He loves getting to work alongside the team of highly skilled clinicians in our office. Outside of work, Luis is quite the handy man and enjoys doing DIY projects for his girlfriend, cooking, and spending time with his teenage daughter.

Carli joined our team in 2021! She earned her CNA certificate, and is only a year away from getting her Bachelors degree in HIF and Business. At the office, Carli enjoys helping our patients receive the care they need, and team building with co-workers. She loves watching the confidence of our patients grow as they get their smiles back! When not at the practice, Carli looks forward to working out, being outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family.

Amanda was added to our team in 2022. She attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln where she studied Food Science and Technology. Amanda enjoys getting to educate patients about their often confusing, dental insurance. However, her favorite part of working in dentistry is getting to see patients confident, new smiles after being treated in our office. Outside of work, Amanda loves getting to spend time with her husband and daughter. She stays busy planning the Nebraska Cattlemans Ball each year which helps fund the Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha, NE.
