I grew up in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and have always called the Southwest home. I fell in love with the Four Corners while traveling back and forth from New Mexico to Utah for my undergraduate education at Brigham Young University.
I received a bachelors degree in general business management in 2005, then moved across the country to Cleveland, Ohio, for my graduate dental education at Case Western Reserve University. While there, I met my bride, Whitney Webster, in church. I convinced her to date me while wearing the costume of a partially eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich from the movie The Neverending Story. She was in medical school at the time, completed her training to become a pediatrician and has opened a direct primary care practice here in town (Cortez Pediatrics). She is a wonderful doctor, and if you have children, I highly recommend looking into her practice!
After I finished dental school, I did a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland. It was a great year and really sparked my interest in comprehensive care and continuing education. I love to learn about teeth! After our training, we looked to move back to the Four Corners. Cortez is a perfect fit for us. We are halfway between our parents in New Mexico and Utah, and we love the mountains and the people here.
We are currently the parents of three children. You will likely see them around the office at some point and, if not there, out on the soccer fields. We are happy to be your neighbors and friends, and we love to see you and say hi in the grocery store, in the movie theater or at the MCHS basketball games.
I was raised in Cortez, Colorado. After graduating from high school, I moved to Farmington, New Mexico, for 11 years. I have been in the dental field for over 13 years, and for nine of those years, I have been a dental hygienist.
I attended San Juan college and earned my dental hygiene degree in 2011. I really enjoy my profession and helping people understand their oral health needs. I strive to make people feel comfortable and at ease in the dental chair. I am a mother of two wonderful and very outgoing children.
We are a big sports family and enjoy playing and watching sports together. If we are not out on the field, on the court or in the dance studio, we are usually out fishing and paddle boarding. I look forward to meeting you.
