Dentist seemed competent as a dentist but was just a rude person. We had a disagreement about x-rays because I didn't want to pay out of pocket and she stormed out mid discussion. Also had a bad attitude and short spoken the whole time I saw her. Will not be going back.

I have had all my dental work and annual checkups and cleaning done here for over 4 years now and always a fabulous experience! The office is lovely and always perfectly clean and bright and the staff all exceptionally nice and helpful and service oriented. Dr. Katee Afshar is a real professional and very gentle when giving shots and working in your mouth. All equipment is state of the art too. I recently had an upper molar implant done by a oral surgeon she referred me to, and then she put on the final crown. All perfect !! I highly recommend Coronado Smiles Dental and have moved a great deal in my life and seen many, many dentists and rate this as one of the best!!

I had a great experience with Coronado Smiles! Dr. Afshar is exceedingly knowledgeable and straight forward about what she believes is the best course of treatment. They have reasonable prices and don't pressure you into purchasing anything extra. The cleaning and X-rays were the comfortable and the space was bright and clean! I would highly recommend Coronado Smiles to anyone who needs a trustworthy and great dental place!

I had a wonderful experience at Coronado Smiles. Dr. Afshar and her staff made me feel welcome, comfortable, and safe (I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist). The procedure for two crowns was easy and I never felt pain. Thank you for being so thorough, too. Very professional.

Such an amazing experience! Everyone is very welcoming and nice. I enjoyed not having to wait long and my teeth looked extremely better after my visits. Her work is amazing.

~*~ Update ~*~ They are still simply the best and make me feel so very comfortable. I appreciate them so much!!! My experience with having to get two new crowns and a root canal went so smoothly and quick. The new crowns look great and they fit perfect and they feel like they are truly my own. I'm soo happy!!! I'm actuality so thankful that they make me feel soo silly for having any anxiety in the first place about my teeth needing to be worked on. They are great!!! Highly recommend them!!! 2 years ago: I have major anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and normally avoid them (which is not a good idea at all) but here at Coronado Smiles I am actually really excited about returning and looking forward to the next visits! They did a great job with the cleaning, had a friendly staff, a cool tranquil atmosphere, and I wish I had came here much much sooner!

I am so grateful for Dr. Afshar and her staff at Coronado Smiles Dental. Everyone was polite and mindful of my needs. I'm temporarily residing in Coronado, and it so happens my teeth need help. I called their office and found out they take my insurance, so I made an appointment, and I'm glad I did. I received a consultation, and a much needed referral to a specialist. I wasn't even charged for the X-Rays. Thank you so much Dr. Afshar and staff!

We all go see the dentist at the same time and it is always efficient and fast even during COVID. My kids give it a two thumbs up experience. They are all great with kids.

Coronado Smiles Dental is absolutely wonderful! I am beyond happy with my dental work Dr. Afshar and staff have done so far. I have a long way to go and I am super excited for Dr. Afshar to complete everything for me. I also take my teens to this office, they really like Coronado Smiles Dental. They both have had a few cavities, absolutely no complaints from either teen after their procedures. We are a military family and we will be going to Dr. Afshar and staff as long as we are stationed in San Diego!

VACCINATED AND CLEAN! I put off going to the dentist until after I was vaccinated. Dr. Ashfar and her staff are all vaccinated and the office is very clean with thorough COVID protocols. Made me feel very comfortable about going to the dentist again. And the best news of all - No cavities!

I was referred to Coronado Smiles Dental by my mother, a retired physician who is extremely picky about medical offices. She called me immediately after her first visit, raving about the friendliness of the office staff, the cleanliness of the office, the technical competence of the dental assistant and the skill of Dr. Kathy Ashra. I have now had two visits and have to agree. In all my years, this has been the most satisfactory dental experience I've ever had.

I can't say enough great things about this team! We have had only wonderful experiences. The staff is very sweet and welcoming. My kids and I are always een at the same time with the same amazing level of care. Dr. Afshar takes the time to answer all of my questions and she is knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I highly recommend this practice :).

I gave them a courtesy call within the same day to cancel my appointment as I had another priority come up. I got attitude from the receptionist because I had confirmed the day prior. She then stated their $75 cancellation fee as a punishment or something. I should of just saved myself the drama of the phone call and just not showed up.

Really good first experience - flexible booking, friendly staff, super efficient time at the office (I was 10 mins late, had x-rays and photos taken, a full cleaning from the dentist, and a surprise small cavity filled - all in less than 1 hour). Happily recommend and look forward to coming back for another cleaning.
