Dr. Becky Chiem grew up in San Gabriel, California before heading to the University of California San Diego for her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. While there, she joined the UCSD Pre-Dental Society, leading her to volunteer at multiple free dental clinics around the city. During her time as a dental assistant, x-ray tech, and eventually as clinic manager at a downtown San Diego practice, Dr. Chiem fell in love with dentistry.Eager to continue her education and experience a different part of the country, she travelled to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2015. After working several years in family dentistry, Dr. Chiem discovered her passion for treating patients of all ages and creating lasting relationships, but she felt she could do more. Thats why she opened Coronado Family Dental, so she could provide dentistry she truly believes in.Dr. Chiem has lived in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico for over half a decade with her husband, young daughter and beloved cat. Outside of the office, she enjoys staying active and spending time with her family, playing tennis, practicing yoga, bowling, and more recently, learning how to golf. She also has a bit of a sweet tooth, and loves baking sweets for her family and friends.
