As a courtesy to our patients with insurance, we will file your insurance claim on your behalf, allowing you to pay only your deductible and/ or estimated co-payment/co-insurance as services are rendered. Please remember that the contract is between you and your insurance company, and your total balance in our office is your responsibility, regardless of any estimated insurance coverage. Our office makes every effort to give you an accurate estimate of what your portion of our fees will be based on the information provided to us by your insurance company. However, we can not guarantee the terms of your insurance policy. If for any reason there is a balance remaining after your insurance companys payment, you will be sent a statement. If the insurance company has not paid the balance on your account within 30 days from the date of service, the balance will become due and a statement will be sent to you for payment.
Our office is contracted with several insurances, as a result there may be insurance adjustments reflected on your account. If requested, any overpayments will be refunded or the credit can remain on your account for future services. Our office will be more than happy to submit a pre-determination to your insurance if requested. Pre-determinations usually require 4-6 weeks for the insurance company to process. Some dental treatments can be postponed for this time period, however, some treatments require more immediate attention and cannot wait for a pre-determination. Please know pre-determinations are not a guarantee of benefits. Inform our front office staff if you would like a pre-determination to be submitted.
Digital X-rays are sometimes necessary to provide quality care for your child. These pictures aid in detection of cavities, abnormalities in the bone, and position and location of unerupted teeth. As recommended by the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a panoramic X-ray is taken around age 6 or when permanent teeth begin to erupt.
Dr. David Schleicher was raised in Lakewood, Colorado where he attended a Lutheran parochial school followed by Green Mountain High School. He completed two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology and Kinesiology at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. During college he also completed his EMT training in Ft. Collins. He graduated from the University of Colorado Denver School of Dental Medicine in 2003. Upon graduation, he provided care at a public health clinic in Pueblo, Colorado for two years. After a dental mission trip to Romania, to treat medically compromised and handicapped children, Dr. Schleicher practiced for two years treating children alongside two pediatric dentists.
Dr. Schleicher completed his pediatric dental residency at the University of Maryland Medical System where he received training at the University of Maryland Dental School, University Hospital, Kernan Orthopedics and Rehabilitative Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. There he received the latest and most modern training in pediatric dentistry including oral sedation, orofacial trauma management, and hospital dentistry for children.
Dr. Dave loves the outdoors. As a sportsman, he is proud to spend his free time with his lovely wife, Meggin, and four wonderful boys, Samuel, Matthew, Jacob, and Isaac. Together, they explore anything and everything in the Colorado outdoors.
Meggin received her teaching degree at the University of Northern Colorado in 1998 with the honor of summa cum laude. She took great joy in teaching 2nd and 3rd grades for nine years. During that time, she earned a Masters degree in reading instruction from the University of Colorado. Her instructional skill in tutoring the most reading-challenged pupils earned recognition from several of her peers and teachers.
During a mission trip to Romania with Dr. Dave, Meggin expanded her desire to help children beyond a classroom setting. This passion for working with children has translated into an integral position at Cornerstone, wherein she helps Dr. Dave manage almost all aspects of the practice.

My boys love Dr. Dave and his staff! The office is so cute! Very colorful and made just for kids. They have video games, movie and a fish tank. The care we get from this office is amazing! I highly recommend them to everyone!!!!

The first time a child visits a dentist, they should have a positive experience. However, this location did the opposite. My wife took my son in for his first cleaning. Because of an insurance-related issue, I have to pay for my son's bill 100% out of pocket and my HSA account will not be ready until the end of the month. So, I simply asked them to send us the bill so that I can pay for it once my HSA account is ready. They refused to cooperate with us, including the owner's wife, implying that we would not pay our bill. What a disrespectful insinuation. We live in the area and my daughter has gone to them multiple times. In fact, she is scheduled for an appointment this Fall, which we will be canceling. Is this how you treat patients? Is this how you treat a 3 year-old child during his first visit to the dentist? My son ended up not getting a cleaning and so the experience was not positive for him. What I want them to realize is that basic respect goes a long way. We have numerous family members who are current patients of theirs. I will be certain to share our negative experience with them.

We've been clients of this Dentistry for over 7 years and we used to love this place but it has gotten really bad over the last two years. After today, I'm done with them. First, they are booking a month out which I can understand and have no issues with. What I do have an issue with is that the last two appointments I have made were canceled the day of the appointments. They don't seem to understand or respect that it takes a lot for a parent to rearrange their schedule during the weekdays to take their children to a dentist. I am not a stay at home mom I have a job and have to request time off to do these appointments. Then to just have it canceled two hours before the appointment supposed to take place is not acceptable!! This happened two times in a row so I'm going to find a new dentist for my kids and will no longer recommend them

I am always very impressed and my kids absolutely love coming here. I have never been to a place more accommodating and understanding of situations. They moved us up early knowing we live 2.5 hours away. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much for everything.

Not impressed with their communication or customer service. Had an appointment scheduled, called to confirm the date/time, but had to leave a message. Received a voicemail back stating that they canceled my appointment. I called back and was told we only had a pending appointment because it had been canceled per my request. I tried to explain that I did not request a cancelation. The gal on the line said she would look over my paperwork (we were supposed to be new patients so there really isn't much paperwork) and she could call me back and make sure we were rescheduled. She quickly hung up and never bothered to return the call. When you have to schedule checkups weeks/months in advance to just have one canceled with no follow up or apology is tough. Wouldn't recommend as they don't seem to care about making sure their patients are taken care of.

We asked the doctor for dental sealants as my kid has a huge sweet tooth and has had cavities in the molar area, and though wanting to be independent, does not have the dexterity to reach those far back grooves and pits. Dr. David refused to put sealants on my child though he had treated my kid's cavities himself. This is a pretty standard procedure most dentists in the area have performed on our friends' and family kids which can prevent and reduce the chances of cavities significantly. I was shocked to hear his reluctance in helping care for kids' oral hygiene. Other doctors were puzzled why a dentist would bluntly not want to put this preventative procedure in place while the dentists themselves usually recommend it especially if the parent requests it and the cost is not an issue for them. Though very warm, gives out prizes and the office staff are very nice and friendly, he is not knowledgeable in all areas of dentistry to say the least. it is not just the form but also the inner meaning that matters. We are changing to another dental office

Dr. Dave is amazing with my son with autism as well as my other children. I trust them with my kids and know they will only provide quality care that is necessary.

I can't thank the entire Cornerstone team enough for their patience and having gone above and beyond for my son. For no gain of their own, they coordinated a double surgery with other doctors to avoid my child going under an additional time due to a trauma he experienced. I received after hours follow ups also. My kids both get EXCITED to go to the dentist. Thanks Dr. Dave and team!
