I am Dr. Tim Myoungsoo Choi, and it is certainly my pleasure to serve Katy, Cypress, and the Greater Houston area. I was born in Seoul, South Korea, and immigrated to the United States 18 years ago with a passion and solidified dreams to become an orthodontist. Before becoming an orthodontist, I was a general dentist in Gangnam for 11 years. As a result, when treating patients, I approach cases from both a dentist and an orthodontist perspective to make sure my patients receive the best, safest treatment.
However, God opened new doors and provided me with an amazing opportunity to expand my career which led me to seek specialty in orthodontics. Contrary to regular orthodontists who spend two years studying orthodontics in a dental school setting, I attended a three-year hospital-based residency program at one of the nations top hospitals, Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Therefore, I am knowledgeable and experienced in complex and rare orthodontic problems.
I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and am excited to bring my patients the newest technology and techniques. To make sure I can provide my patients with the best possible care, I regularly attend meetings and training with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and take various continuing education courses to ensure that I am at the forefront of innovative technology. I am an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists,Texas Association of Orthodontists, and a certified provider of Invisalign.
I founded Cornerstone Orthodontics with the intention to provide high quality and family-friendly orthodontic service to patients. As a husband and father to my two daughters (Angelina and Stephanie), son (Justin), and an adorable bichon frise (Haru), I understand parents who want to leave their children with the best care in the hands of someone experienced and professional. I value transparency and integrity in every aspect of my life hence my patients are always aware and comfortable with their procedure.
Outside of my life as an orthodontist, I enjoy watching Marvel movies with my children and taking Haru on walks. As a follower of Christ, I have served on medical mission trips to the Yucatan and Nicaragua treating underserved people in villages.

I have had a wonderful experience at this specific location. DR. Choi is an amazing doctor omg! Kim is awesome as well! Wow I can't believe I found the perfect place for me. Highly recommended!

I am very happy that I decided to get my children's braces here. They answer any question that my kids or I might have and are very fast at returning my calls or my texts when I call after hours. Thank you so much for your time and help and for making my family feel very comfortable here.

Came in for a consultation and was highly impressed with the whole office (worked in ortho prior myself). Due to my son's appointment being later in the day we could not start treatment but were able schedule him in for the following week. He is still in the beginning phase of treatment but he is happy with his progress. You won't be disappointed making an investment for your smile with Conerstone Ortho!

He only knows our family from his wife, but he gladly checked up on me for free on Saturday afternoon which is not even his work time! His kind manners and intelligence told me without doubt that he is a professional. I had a great experience in Cornerstone Orthodontics and I would gladly give it five stars!

Cornerstone Orthodontics is the most kind, skilled and trustable in the area! Dr.Choi is not only knowledgeable and up-to-date, but he is just a very very kind and caring guy! As a mother of his patient you can trust him to straighten your child's teeth! He will show you the available options but never push. So decision and timing is completely up to you! The staff are kind as well!! Just like Dr.Choi and they are always punctual to fit your schedule in whenever you need anything that may be present with your braces. Customer service is also an A plus! My kid and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended
