Dr. Trevino was absolutely perfect with my one year old son who at this age is terrified of unfamiliar faces. She was able to do his cleaning and all that she needed to do with not a single sound out of him, he even allowed her to lay his head in her lap without a fight. She made him feel extremely comfortable and soothed him with the singing of the ABCs. No complaints here and we will be coming back. We have two older children who also come and have been for several years.

Dental insurance is rapidly playing a larger and larger role in helping people obtain dental treatment. Since we strongly feel our patients deserve the best possible dental care we can provide, and in an effort to maintain the highest quality of care, we would like to share some facts about dental insurance with you.
FACT #2: Many plans tell their insured that theyll be covered up to 80% or up to 100%. In spite of what youve been told, weve found that most plans cover about 40% to 60% of an average fee. Some plans pay more some less.
FACT #3: It has been the experience of many dentists that some insurance companies tell their customers that fees are above the usual and customary fees rather than saying to them that our benefits are too low. Remember, you get back only what your employer puts in less the profits of the insurance company.
FACT #5: Insurance companies will often down-code a procedure in order to pay less. A common example is when an insurance company will only pay a composite filling at the rate of a silver filling. Your dentist wants to provide the BEST dentistry; your insurance wants CHEAP.
FACT #6: Dentists charge the same fees to all their patients, regardless of the insurance coverage. At times, the fee paid by the insurance company may be lower than the fee charged by the dentist, depending upon the benefits allowed by the policy.

Dr. Lisa Trevio is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Proud to be a Texan, Dr. Trevio attended St. Marys University and graduated with a bachelors degree in Biology. She then did a research internship before continuing on to The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston for her doctorate in dental surgery, and then to Miami Childrens Hospital for her specialty training in pediatric dentistry. After graduating, she joined Dr. Jerry Godkin in private practice. Dr. Lisa Trevio is currently on staff at Houston Northwest Medical Center, and is able to help children with treatment under general anesthesia. She is currently a member of the ADA, TDA, GHDS, AAPD, TAPD, HAPD, and the HDA, and has been featured in the member spotlight in the Journal of the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Trevio was the past president of the Houston Hispanic Dental Association. Some of Dr. Trevios hobbies include painting, trying new recipes and enjoying family. Her personal goals are to give back to her profession, and to serve her community.

Do not bring your kids here! These people torture kids. My kid has a bad allergic reaction and they didn't inform me when it happened. ( if it wasn't for me hearing my kid scream ) I would've never known what was going on! Horrible people

We have always loved this practice. We were sad when our insurance changed and we had to switch, but now that we are covered there again we were pleased to return. It's beautiful and kid friendly inside and the Dentist's and their staff have always been patient, kind, gentle, and simply amazing!

I would give this company negative stars if I could. As I read other reviews, I must contend my experience with Dr. Trevino was uplifting and positive; however, the staff over the phone was dismissive and rude when I called to discuss why my mother was not allowed to go into the back with my FOUR y/o to get sealants on her molars and told to wait in the car because it was "standard procedure like any other pediatrics." I informed her that I've NEVER had to leave her alone at ANY pediatrics office nor hospital. I find it very odd they would require this and am greatly unsatisfied with the staff's response. I have left reviews elsewhere, including the BBB, and others have complained about similar issues concerning leaving the children alone and the same dismissive staff. DO NOT TSKE YOUR CHILD HERE and listen to your parent radar. This is NOT okay!

What's the best about this place is they know how to handle special needs kids and they have this hugger deal that helps keep them from hurting themselves and they are just good and they do a good job for my son every single time I bring him here I highly recommend them

Used to like this dental office. But I don't understand why they think it's okay to try and do procedures on child without their parents. After all the stories you hear about dental office I'm going to change because you have no reason to have my 4 year old in the back without me!!! Your out your mind! I will not allow it.

Really appreciated Dr. Trevino and Dr.O with their patience with my children over the past few years, however it is time I leave due to their inconsiderate office policies I have dealt with for far too long. I am over it. They are closed over the entire Christmas break, and appointments take forever to get in. They only will schedule whatever is convenient for them and NOT for you and your children's schedule. I am disappointed at how incredibly selfish they are when it comes to their patients' time, and flexibility. Must do better if you want to keep your patients happy. I will not be returning.

Dr. Trevino and the entire staff are excellent with children. They are on top of everything and go above and beyond for you with every visit. Both my children had dental work done at this office and the results were outstanding.

I love this dentist office. Dr. Trevino is amazing with my kids. Other places I took them to wanted way more work than what was actually necessary. All 4 of my kids have zero fear when we walk in. Everyone is so nice and informative. They even worked to get all of my kids in on the same day. I stumbled upon them one day after a horrible experience with another office. I'm so glad I did. All of my questions get answered without condescending looks and comments. The most important thing is that my kiddos feel comfortable and for that I highly recommend them.

I absolutely love everything about Cornerstone Kids Dental. Dr. Trevino is amazing as well as the staff. We have been coming to Dr. Trevino for many years and have never had any issues. They take wonderful care of my two kids. My youngest is 3 yrs old and he enjoys his visits. Everything is explained in detail before hand and quotes for any work not covered by insurance is printed out for you. Wait times are acceptable and making appointments is literally hassle free. Questions and concerns are answered and you know the kids will be well taken care of.

My kids love this dentist, they say there so nice and sweet all of my five kids have been seen here my oldest is 13 he says this is the only place he fills safe.. My baby already had his first check up here.. They all love Dr. trevino., And Dr. Jerry Govkin.. Yes I had to pay several times, But I don't have no one to blame but my self for cancelling.. I still Love this place as long as my kids are happy here I'm to.. The only thing that disappointed me is that even though i pay for not showing to the appointments they still kick my kids out so no longer have there service....

Let me tell y'all how amazing this facility is in professionalism & professional dental skills ! AMAZING ! Due to my own fear of the dentist & prior dental trauma , I have always been scared for my children. I have searched high and low for one of patience , kindness, empathy, professionalism ect and landed on the money. Dr. Trevino & her staff are knowledgeable, kind , respectful and make sure you understand the care your children are receiving. My children and I have gotten nothing LESS than EXCEPTIONAL service here....& now she is like family, because we are customers for life !

My son was diagnosed with a tongue tie and his current dentist recommended Dr. Trevino to do a frenectomy. I live in Richmond (Hwy6 & Westpark tollway) so the drive to cornerstone was a journey. Full of anxiety I went ahead and drove out there for a consultation.. Small relief when greeted with smiles and great customer service! (Very rare now'a'days) but once my son was called back the dental assistant was very warm and great with kids. During the exam Dr. Trevino was very informative and answered all questions which further relieved the anxiety! My son and I looked at each other and knew we were making the right choice! We immediately scheduled to have the procedure done the following Monday. Fast forward we arrive Monday and after we leave we got two check up calls to make sure my son was recovering well! I am thankful to have people who care so much for their patients and take a moment to call even when they were as busy as they were! My son is healing beautifully and I look forward to our follow up appt. I would highly recommend Cornerstone Dr. Trevino and Staff! Keep up the great work girls you are killing it!
