Dr. Trevino was absolutely perfect with my one year old son who at this age is terrified of unfamiliar faces. She was able to do his cleaning and all that she needed to do with not a single sound out of him, he even allowed her to lay his head in her lap without a fight. She made him feel extremely comfortable and soothed him with the singing of the ABCs. No complaints here and we will be coming back. We have two older children who also come and have been for several years.

Dental insurance is rapidly playing a larger and larger role in helping people obtain dental treatment. Since we strongly feel our patients deserve the best possible dental care we can provide, and in an effort to maintain the highest quality of care, we would like to share some facts about dental insurance with you.
FACT #2: Many plans tell their insured that theyll be covered up to 80% or up to 100%. In spite of what youve been told, weve found that most plans cover about 40% to 60% of an average fee. Some plans pay more some less.
FACT #3: It has been the experience of many dentists that some insurance companies tell their customers that fees are above the usual and customary fees rather than saying to them that our benefits are too low. Remember, you get back only what your employer puts in less the profits of the insurance company.
FACT #5: Insurance companies will often down-code a procedure in order to pay less. A common example is when an insurance company will only pay a composite filling at the rate of a silver filling. Your dentist wants to provide the BEST dentistry; your insurance wants CHEAP.
FACT #6: Dentists charge the same fees to all their patients, regardless of the insurance coverage. At times, the fee paid by the insurance company may be lower than the fee charged by the dentist, depending upon the benefits allowed by the policy.

Dr. Lisa Trevio is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Proud to be a Texan, Dr. Trevio attended St. Marys University and graduated with a bachelors degree in Biology. She then did a research internship before continuing on to The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston for her doctorate in dental surgery, and then to Miami Childrens Hospital for her specialty training in pediatric dentistry. After graduating, she joined Dr. Jerry Godkin in private practice. Dr. Lisa Trevio is currently on staff at Houston Northwest Medical Center, and is able to help children with treatment under general anesthesia. She is currently a member of the ADA, TDA, GHDS, AAPD, TAPD, HAPD, and the HDA, and has been featured in the member spotlight in the Journal of the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Trevio was the past president of the Houston Hispanic Dental Association. Some of Dr. Trevios hobbies include painting, trying new recipes and enjoying family. Her personal goals are to give back to her profession, and to serve her community.
