Mission Statement The purpose of Cornerstone Family Healthcare, a non-profit organization, is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, primary and preventative health care services in an environment of caring, respect, and dignity, and in a cost-effective manner that maximizes revenues; to be responsive to the needs of the communities that we serve but with continued emphasis on the underserved and those without access to care regardless of race, economic status, age, sex, sexual orientation, or disability.

Cornerstone Family Healthcare is an organization licensed to operate by the State of New York as an Article 28 Diagnostic and Treatment Center. It also is recognized by the Federal Government as a Section 330 Federally Qualified Health Center. Our Center also operates with the following designations: Medically Underserved Area (MUA), Medically Underserved Population (MUP), and serving in a Health Professionals Shortage Area (HPSA). Cornerstone was recognized by The Joint Commission for offering higher standards of care to its patients, a distinction that few Community Health Centers have received.

Although a significant proportion of our patients are enrolled in federal or state health insurance programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, or Family or Child Health Plus, a large number of the patients who utilize our services have their own medical insurance.

Cornerstone participates with a wide array of medical insurance companies that offer coverage to individuals and families in the Mid-Hudson Valley. We have staff members who can assist you and your family with identifying insurance programs that you might be eligible for, and facilitating your enrollment in these programs. Our core mission remains to provide primary and preventative medical services to any who need our service regardless of ability to pay.

At Cornerstone, we work very hard to provide the highest quality medical services at the most economical level of cost. Independent studies find that the Medicaid cost for a community health center patient is 30-percent less than average spending on patients treated by other medical providers.

My 8year old son has extensive medical needs and is disabled. I am a RN. We are no strangers to doctors and doctors offices. My son was an already established patient with Cornerstone dental when they were at the Inspire center in Goshen. This was our first visit at the Lake St. location in Newburgh. Dr. Williams DDS has by far the worst "bedside manners" I have ever encountered as a medical professional and as a special needs mom. He made me feel very uncomfortable the way he spoke to me about my son. He also made it seem like it was an issue that I brought him to be seen for a routine dental exam. I've never felt so disrespected at a doctors office in my life, I actually left in tears. The office staff, dental assistant, and hygienist were pleasant, but this Dr. Williams is disgraceful.

Dr Gruffi is as close to pain free dental as you can get! He explains what he's doing and explains options for dental work - so different from other dentists I've seen. Hygienist is hard to get an appointment with, but if I have an issue they get me in right away.

This place is a one example of what incoming "patients" have to deal with when walking in and out of a place not welcomed or unhappy. Let me make this extremely basic for the people of the USA to understand. Whoever is clocked in and works here leave your unentertained, miserable, rude behavior at the door. We don't have time to deal with your home problems while you're getting paid. We simply come to you for assistance and you shall behave accordingly to the people who sign your checks. The professionals are much appreciated but there is just a few people that think that they're safe behind a desk serving minorities in the improper way. So let's make this world a better place shall we? Now get on your knees and give thanks that you have a job and the opportunity to contribute positivity through out this world. And if you don't like the medical field that you're in then go braid some hair and gossip about people's lives in your local salons.

Beyond negligent providers @ the lake street office. My son has been showing symptoms of what we believed to be an ear infection for a couple months now. We trust doctors though, our mistake. Our son doesn't make it easy to look in his ears, no toddler does. However after a couple failed attempts looking they'd say his ears look great and send us home with acetaminophen to control the fever and no diagnosis. This last time they only checked one ear and couldn't look in the other ear because it was "too waxy", we even said he's been ripping at his ears and head and they just said the right looked great though again sent us home with acetaminophen to get the fever down. All they offered was a flu test, and never told us our sons temp just said he had a fever. After the fever not going down we wanted to follow up but in our gut know something's off with your practice. We went to Dr Pitrowski on North plank rd and within a couple minutes she looked in his left ear and had him diagnosed with an ear infection. The fact he's likely been getting these all along and his little body's been fighting them all by itself breaks my heart. He's been in so much pain, and all you've done is shrug it off. Your office is beyond incompetent and if there's any damage I will make sure your pediatricians don't find work anywhere. He's currently on antibiotics thanks to Dr. Pitrowskis care due to the ear infection your practice insisted he hasn't had on more than one occasion. Please don't take your child here!

This place is the worst. Doctor Osborne is lazy. My mouth is in pain. She refused to fill my cavities when I went because I didn't have my cleaning done 1st. Why didn't she tell me that when I had a consultation with her to make the appointment for hygienist 1st and for her 2nd after I had the cleaning. It's too long to get an appointment. If you can avoid seeing her. She is not a people person. She always has a negative attitude.

The dentist also yelled at one of his receptionists...in front of the waiting room. If youre looking for a pleasant dental experience, avoid this place at all costs.
