To better serve our patients, we have three great locations where both Dr. Mindy and Dr. Peterson provide total dental care to patients of all ages. At our Davenport, IA, Morrison, IL, and Camanche, IA offices, we provide a wide range of services, from basic cleanings to root canals, as well as frenectomies. Dr. Mindy grew up in a rural area just south of Milan, IL. She graduated as the Valedictorian of Rockridge High School where she excelled as a high school cross country and track runner. After graduation she attended Indiana University at Bloomington, where she earned All-American honors in cross country, and also received her bachelors degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. She also received a certificate from the Liberal Arts and Management Program in the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. In her second year of college, Dr. Mindy developed an interest in dentistry and decided to apply to dental school. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL in 2009.
During her time at Indiana University, Dr. Mindy met her husband, David who also majored in biology. He went on to become a high school biology teacher and has served the Quad Cities community in this role since graduation. Dr. Mindy married David in 2007 and together they have built a beautiful family with their children; Hannah who was born in 2011, Natalie, born in 2013 and Grant, who completed their family in 2017.
Dr. Mindy is passionate about business ownership and dentistry and uses her platform as a dentist to educate and make a difference in her patients and the community. She often goes to schools and even presents to other medical providers about her special topics of interest. Dr. Mindy loves to connect with her patients and employees. She is proficient at placing esthetic crowns, fillings, removing teeth, and treating lip and tongue-ties. She views her local community as her mission field and is always looking for opportunities to serve those in need, taking action to fulfill needs that would otherwise go unmet.
Dr. Mindy has enjoyed owning dental practices with her brother and creating a family atmosphere amongst all employees. She prides herself in making both her practice and her family top priorities in her life and encourages the same for all team members. When Dr. Mindy has time for herself, she loves to run and has completed five marathons. She also enjoys mentoring other dentists and being involved with her childrens education. Dr. Mindy promotes reading and education however possible- at times even exchanging book suggestions with her patients! She is also a huge supporter of children and young adults looking into the field of dentistry and encourages interest in the field she, herself, is so passionate about!
Dr. Craig Peterson grew up in Milan, IL just outside of the Quad Cities. Beginning in high school, he excelled in science and went on to major in Biology at Augustana College. Craig graduated Salutatorian from Rockridge High School in 2005 and Suma Cum Laude from Augustana College in 2009. He then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. It was during this time that he met his now wife, Lauren. They married in July of 2011. After graduating dental school in 2012, the Petersons moved to Racine, WI where Craig worked as a dentist at a community health center. There he had an incredible opportunity to serve patients from all walks of life and provide a wide variety of dental procedures. Lauren has a bachelors degree in psychology from Drury University and, while living in Wisconsin, earned her masters degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago. Lauren currently works as a counselor in the Quad Cities area with a focus on promoting healthy families and marital well-being.
In October of 2014, Craig and Lauren welcomed their first child, Eliana Rae Peterson. The following year, they moved back to the Quad Cities to partner with his sister, Dr. Mindy, and planted roots in the QC community. In 2019 the Petersons were blessed with adopting their son Cael Adam Matthew Peterson. Again, the very next year, in 2020 they had the surprise blessing of adopting their youngest daughter Virginia Irene Rose Peterson.
Alongside quality time with family, Craig enjoys running, hunting, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, Denver Broncos, and Indiana Hoosiers. Craig and Lauren are active in their church community and currently lead the childrens ministry.
Dr. Peterson is proficient in and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Over the years he has developed a passion for medical mission trips, providing dental care for those without access. He has served in this capacity on six different trips to Honduras.
Dr. Jackie grew up in Palatine, IL, but moved to Cedar Rapids, IA at 13. At a young age, she became an avid runner and swimmer. In high school, she enjoyed the health sciences and felt a calling to the medical field from a young age. It didnt take her long to narrow it down to two potential career choices: veterinarian or dentist.
Ultimately, she knew she was too much of an animal lover and would end up with a zoo if she went that route, and genuinely loves forming relationships and helping people. She found after shadowing numerous dental offices in high school that this allowed her to not only relieve people of pain, give back to her community, and work with her hands, but also form those connections with patients that she values and cannot wait to continue to form more connections.
Following high school graduation in 2013, Dr. Jackie went to Luther College to study pre-dental as well as to swim for the team. After a successful career in swimming, a Biology and Liberal Arts degree with a chemistry minor, she graduated from Luther in 2017 and moved to Iowa City to follow her dreams of becoming a dentist.
Dr. Jackie graduated in the spring class of 2021 with the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She soon married her best friend, Stephen, and quickly joined the Cornerstone Family Dentistry team as an associate dentist. One of the things she most enjoys about Cornerstone is the family environment and her ability to care for patients as if they were an extension of her own family.
Dr. Jackie is a respected member of the clinical team at Cornerstone Family Dentistry with a focus on general dentistry and frenectomies and loves seeing patients of all ages. You will quickly sense her dedication to your care and her commitment to make sure things are just right for each and every one of her patients. She is passionate about our local communities as well as fostering relationships with her future patients alongside Dr. Peterson and Dr. Mindy. She cannot wait to meet you!

We were having a lot of trouble getting our son to take a bottle, pacifier and didn't nurse good. He always seemed upset and unsettled. Almost in a fight or flight stage 24 hours a day. I spent a lot of days and nights crying and feeling like I was losing my mind. It wasn't until I finally called a lactation consultant that I got some answers and recommendations. They discovered that our son needed to see a chiropractor (that was familiar with babies) and that he had a tongue tie. I had never heard of this before!! After speaking to a couple of friends they recommended Dr. Mindy at Cornerstone Dentistry. They got us in right away and accommodated our schedule. They have a baby room and a lactation consultant that was available the whole time. They came in and gave a consultation and their recommendation. We decided to go ahead and do it that day. They procedure took 30 seconds. They provide instructions and demonstration on aftercare. The staff is extremely friendly, patient, and welcoming.

Beat service in town! I took my 4 year old in today due to some dental issues. All the staff there including doctor exceeded my expectations. Thanks to the dental assistant for taking so much time and patience with my daughter. I will be bringing my other kids over next! Thanks for assuring me my daughters needs will be met!!

My daughter broke her front permanent tooth in half and when I called her dentist, they said she could come in, in a week. That he wouldn't be able to repair it that day, but would look at it. Didn't even ask if she was hurting. Everything I read said the tooth should be looked at as soon as possible as it may develop infection. I called Cornerstone Family and they got her in in a few hours. She walked out with a repaired tooth. They were extremely professional, kind, and attentive. We will be switching dentists immediately.

Very warm and welcoming office environment. All of the staff members that we came in contact with were welcoming and friendly. To say this dental office is amazing is an understatement. I was treated for dental work there and then my infant was seen for a tongue tie release. Not only did they meet my expectations but they by far exceeded them. For the Doctor to reach out personally and see how our infant was after a few hours post procedure blew my mind, that doesn't happen anywhere. Kudos to all of the staff at Cornerstone!

I love my dentist. But I was on vacation. I had an emergency issue. Cornerstone was able to see me same day. They took care of my issue. Visit was quick and simple. I had no insurance but found there prices amazing. Thankyou Cornerstone I like you just as much as my hometown dentist.

My 4 year old daughter has autism, and during an appointment that we scheduled and arrived to on time, Dr. Mindy complained that we didn't have a lot of time because so many patients were wanting to come in earlier to avoid a storm. Loud noises upset my daughter, so she can be scared of the suction, etc. but Dr. Mindy was very impatient and treated her as if she was being a huge pain. She spent maybe 5 minutes trying to clean my daughter's teeth, and then very rudely told me that she didn't have any more time with us and that we would need to reschedule. I had to take off work to bring my daughter in, and I could not believe that we were being treated this way. And this is supposed to be a family dentist! When I called in to ask them to transfer our files, the office person asked why I was leaving, and when I told her, she didn't apologize or anything. I do want to state that the other dentist Dr. Peterson was always very nice, and we never had any issues with him.

The customer service we experienced is beyond fantastic! Doc gave us her personal cell number for any after hour concerns with our week old baby and fixing his tongue tie. We were blown away and appreciated all the service from the lactation consultant, doc, and front desk!

I had a great experience here and was excited to be a patient. I even brought my nine month old with and they were great with him while I got my cleaning. However, I don't understand their billing practices. Don't go here if you want to pay out of pocket for your entire cleaning and X-rays. They are not in network with most insurances and if your dental insurance doesn't cover out-of-network providers then you will receive a $300 bill for a standard cleaning and X-rays. Insane! In my 34 years I've never paid for a cleaning when I have insurance. What a horrible experience for a brand new patient. I would have never scheduled an appointment here if I knew this!

I had super high anxiety around getting dental treatment for my youngest boys. They previously went to another dentist and it felt like said prior dentist was pigeon-holing us into a treatment plan that I didn't agree with. So, I started my search for a new dentist for them and myself. Cornerstone took my call right away and listened with compassion as I explained my concerns and reservations. They set appointments right away for the boys, handled their concerns and fears with kid-gloves, and developed a plan that was reasonable and aligned with my goals. The boys were so comfortable going to their appointments and were treated like friends and family. I couldn't have asked for better care! Thank you!

Year later they send a blank bill no explanation of services expect me to pay something without reason. I will not recommend them they sent me to a collection agency where is was bullied for $68 bill with zero explanation of services provided solid idiots at all levels.

I had a tooth that broke and was causing so much pain. There was no appointments available from the big oral surgeons in the area. I contacted Cornerstone and Dr. Mindy was able to see me same day. My teeth roots are extremely long and difficult to deal with. Dr. Mindy rocks! She was awesome at getting it out. My dentist is getting ready to retire. I will be switching to Cornerstone. Amazing sweet staff and amazing place.
