I am originally from Ankeny, Iowa. I attended the University of Northern Iowa where I majored in Biology and Business/Finance, Northern Arizona University, University of Aalborg, Denmark and the University of Iowa Dental School. My endodontic specialty training was completed at the University of Maryland.
I enjoy history and politics, reading, gentleman farming, hunting, fishing, and coaching my childrens sports teams. We are incredibly blessed to have four children and recently celebrated 25 years of wedded bliss.
I am a founding partner of Cornerstone Endodontics (1998) and truly enjoy the technical and personal aspects of practicing endodontics. I cherish my relationships with our patients and partner offices and look forward to helping you.
I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I attended the University of New Mexico on a music scholarship by playing violin and viola. My undergraduate dental training was here in Kansas City at the University of Missouri-School of Dentistry. After graduation, I was blessed to practice general dentistry for over 8 years, and continued onto specialty training at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. It has been a privilege to have presented numerous lectures at the annual American Association of Endodontists meetings, as well as, various civic and professional organizations.
I grew fond of the Midwest and the lifestyle here in Kansas City. Faith, family and friends are what I hold dear. My hobbies are cycling, hunting, fishing, and camping. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, being a cub scout den leader and Sunday school teacher. I consider myself an avid barbeque chef in search of the 'perfect' brisket.
Having grown up in Wheaton, Illinois, I received my Bachelors degree in Biology from Illinois Benedictine College. I attended dental school at the University of Iowa and obtained my D.D.S. degree in 1994. I then served in the United States Navy Dental Corps for three years. My interest in endodontics was piqued while I was stationed with the Marine Corps at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. I completed my endodontic specialty training in Baltimore at the University of Maryland. I practiced endodontics in Naperville, Illinois for fourteen years before joining Cornerstone Endodontics in January, 2014.
When not in the office, I am honored to help my wife raise our seven children. My wife and I recently returned from China after adoptingthe newest addition to our clan: a darling three year old boy.Now the poor girls are outnumbered by a 5 to 2 margin. Our family is close-knit and enjoys spending time together.When time permits, I prefer to beoutdoors. My wife and my children are among the richest blessings that the Lord has given me. I wouldnt be who I am without them in my life.
I grew up on a farm outside of Orange City, Iowa, located in the northwest corner of the state. I attended Northwestern College (Orange City, IA), where I majored in biology and ran track and cross country. I received both my undergraduate dental degree and my specialty training in endodontics from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
I still love to run, and my husband and I enjoy exploring new trails and competing in road races from 5Ks to marathons. I also enjoy outdoor activities of any kind, including hiking, biking, skiing, and camping. I enjoy music and trying new recipes in my free time.
I am originally from Hays, Kansas. I attended Kansas State University where I majored in biology and minored in business. I have known I wanted to have a career in the amazing field of dentistry since high school, and I followed my dream and received my DDS degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. After practicing general dentistry in the Kansas City area, I returned to UMKC School of Dentistry for endodontic specialty training.
I spend most of my free time fostering homeless dogs until they can find a home of their own. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my own dogs. I also love to cheer on Kansas and Kansas City sports teams.
I am very passionate about endodontics and staying up to date with advancements in the field. I am so grateful to be able to serve patients in the Kansas City area through my career. My goal is to provide the most quality treatment with compassion and comfort.
I grew up in a small town in North Central Missouri. I attended Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State) and Mizzou majoring in Biology/Pre-Dental. After spending summers shadowing my uncle in his dental practice, I received my dental degree from Southern Illinois University (Alton Illinois). My Endodontic specialty training was at St. Louis University.
I served as the Kansas Endodontic Board co-chair for 15 years. I practiced Endodontics in Leawood Kansas for 20 years before selling my practice and joining Cornerstone Endodontics in 2020. I have lived in Lee's Summit for 16 years and love working in Lee's Summit and Overland Park. I feel so fortunate to be working with such talented and honest colleagues.
I grew up on a farm in the rolling hills of Wathena, Kansas along the banks of the Missouri River. I receivedmy bachelor of science is biology from Missouri Western University and followed up earning my Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri Kansas City. I completed a General Practice Residency In San Diego at Balboa NavalCenter. After several years of practicing general dentistry, I completed my certificate in endodontics at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
I have twins (Grace and Isaiah) whoare proud alumni of Blue Valley. They are the joy of my life and keep me on my toes at all times! I am passionate about everything I do. I enjoy volunteering throughout the city on the weekends. As a self proclaimed foodie, I enjoy exploring the city for new restaurants to discover. I enjoy all things outdoors and am particularlyfond of the springtime activity of morel mushroom hunting.

Staff was very attentive. I was able to get appointment quickly . Registration process was quick with the help of the front desk staff. U didn't wait long to be seen and once in the back area the X-rays and procedure were as comfortable as could be expected. Overall this is a 5star plus service provider.

From the call to make my appointment until the root canal was finished, this was such a pleasant experience. Everyone in the office was so kind and friendly and helped put me at ease. Dr. Kim is AMAZING, he explained what he was doing during the entire procedure. He seriously made it a breeze and this was by far the best dental visit I've ever had. I Highly recommend Cornerstone Endodontics!

Absolutely best experience (for a root canal, which can be quite unpleasant). The office was able to work me for an emergency appointment within a day. Dr Holman is professional, funny, works magically fast, and ensures you're comfortable throughout the entire process. Also, the staff is amazing. Being an emergency, I was joined at my appointment by my very lively 3 year old. The staff asked if it was ok for her to sit with them during my procedure and they absolutely spoiled her with coloring sheets and entertainment. If you have a dental emergency, this is absolutely the place to go!

They had the nicest staff and my daughter had no pain at all during her root canal. She is very scared of dentists but they kept her calm the whole time. I am so impressed! I already referred a friend. Don't go anywhere else!

Bait and switch ladies and gents!! Beware! I was referred here when the endo my dentist recommended couldn't get me in. They were helpful and looked for times at all locations to get me in. When I called back the next day due to increased pain and swelling, they said they'd put me on cancel list and called the same day with an earlier slot, which was great! When I arrived they asked for my insurance card (BCBS and our plan covers 100% of endo) and verified the costs had been covered with me on the phone (I thought it was odd they did that in the first place but not a bad practice). When I tried to confirm what was due at time of appointment, the receptionist said 100%, regardless of whether it was covered by insurance. I was bewildered and she reassuringling noted I would be reimbursed by my insurance company--while holding my insurance card in her hand! I sat down and then after some thought about what a strange arrangement that was, I asked if she verified what would be covered. She said they didn't accept my insurance. I asked why she told me about the reimbursement process if she knew that. She said she thought maybe I had other insurance I might submit to. WHAT!?? I walked out--even in the face of the level of pain I was enduring. I am still in shock!

What a kind, patient and gentle experience! Dr Kim was amazing with the root canal needed on a back tooth through a crown. His calm nature and sharing of details put me right at ease and made it a good experience.

Cornerstone Endodontics is very professional organization . They are very caring and really organized, the Dentist and her assistant have obviously done a lot of root canals . The Dentist explained what she was going to do and did a very good job in a timely manner. The dental assistant was very good also they had worked together enough that she was able to have each instrument ready as the Dentist needed it. I would recommend this office for anyone who has a need for a root canal, thank you ladies I appreciate your professional work and kindness.

I could not have asked for a better experience for a root canal! My biggest fear was the pain especially the shots.But they were amazing! I DIDN'T FEEL A THING!! I had a previous experience getting my wisdom teeth pulled at another office and I felt everything!!!! So this was a relief. They asked me what kind of music I wanted and were pleasant with conversation. The environment was peaceful and I was out in 40 minutes tops! It went by very quicklyCornerstone is the way to go!
