Dr. Siny Thomas was born in India and attended school in Africa. As a youth, he enjoyed working with his hands. He became a handyman at home and school and in his neighborhood. Dr. Thomas has vivid memories of his childhood handiwork, including the time when he got into trouble opening his dads analog watch. As his curiosity grew, he took on more projects. And in time he developed precision and dexterity with his hands.
Dr. Thomass decision to use his talent in dentistry was influenced by two older cousins who were in dental school, along with a local dentist who guided him and welcomed him to spend time at his practice. Dr. Thomas attended the University of Mysore in India, where he obtained a bachelor of dental science degree. And in India, he gained extensive experience in clinical and hospital dentistry.
In 1999, Dr. Thomas moved to the U.S. and made Sugar Land his home. Soon, he was accepted to the DMD program at Tufts Dental School and relocated to Boston. After earning his degree in 2003, he moved his family back to Sugar Land and began practicing dentistry.
To develop his skills, he attended and graduated from the Kois Center, a post-graduate institute dedicated to teaching advanced levels of dentistry to highly motivated dentists. In 2021, after passing the rigorous mentorship exam, he was granted Mentor status with the center.

Dr. Thomas enjoys seeing a smile on a patients face after eliminating their tooth pain or completing their cosmetic case. He enjoys cosmetic and implant dentistry, endodontics, and full-mouth reconstruction. He explains why:
How you feel about your smile has a large influence on your sense of well-being. Since I became a dentist, my philosophy is to treat everyone as if their teeth are mine and Im paying for their dental care.
Dr. Thomass goal is to deliver the best dental care so that it lasts a lifetime. He promotes bite and jaw health by preserving teeth whenever possible. When your teeth, muscles, and jaws work together correctly, your teeth dont wear out, and your muscles and jaw joints are comfortable.
Dr. Thomas and his wife, Mini, have two daughters, Hannah and Elisheba. Active in the community, he supports Texas Childrens Hospital, the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, local schools, and various charities. He is an avid biker and since 2016 he has participated each year in the annual fundraiser for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the 150-mile bike ride from Houston to College Station, TX.
Jessica was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is one of our multi-talented dental assistants. She is a registered dental assistant with the state of Texas and has been for more than five years. She joined Cornerstone Dentistry in 2016.
Jessica is very passionate about the dental health of her patients. She always strives to take the very best care of them and has their best interests at heart. Jessica enjoys the daily interaction with her patients. And her assisting experience has helped her gain valuable knowledge of all aspects of dental procedures.
She loves helping the patients of the practice from the minute they step into the office. When you see her friendly caring smile, it puts patients at ease. She loves her profession. She enjoys spending time with her family on her days off.
Marivel is one of our senior dental assistants. She has been registered as a dental assistant in Texas for more than ten years. Marivel joined Cornerstone Dentistry in 2013. She loves helping patients improve their smile always. She is very knowledgeable in cosmetic and implant dentistry and enjoys sharing her passion with her patients.
Her favorite moment is watching their expression at the end of their treatment. Marivel is quick-witted and has a great sense of humor. We rarely see her without a smile on her face and a kind word to say.
Case details:Old gold crown with acrylic facing was replaced with a porcelain crown. Unusual coloring of the natural central incisor was duplicated in the crown to make the crown look like a natural tooth.
