Hello! I am a relatively new transplant to the Rutland area. I was born in Taiwan, and my family immigrated to Montreal when I was little. I am used to the snow and cold! I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to live in various parts of the world and find out that I prefer the small town feel.
After graduating from McGill University with mechanical engineering degree, I worked in the financial industry for a few years. While I enjoyed playing with the numbers and charts, I decided to pursue dentistry and obtained my D.D.S from University of Toronto. I then completed a General Practice Residency in Akron, OH. After residency, I spent three years working in a corporate practice in Queensbury, NY. During my search for a different setting for practicing dentistry, I met the wonderful people at Michaels office and the rest is history.
In my spare time, I read about teeth. Okay now that sounds boring! In all seriousness, I enjoy various forms of exercise, including running and yoga (I do make a valiant effort to run, although sometimes my legs dont want to cooperate). My dog seems to really enjoy exploring the outdoors and I try to indulge him as much as possible.
My family is spread out all over the world. My father is in Toronto, mother in England, and younger brother in Singapore. Despite the distance, we are pretty close. And believe it or not, I am in touch with my brother almost daily.
Sarah has been running our front desk for several years. Before coming to our practice, she worked in banking and real estate management in Boston. Sarah lives in Pittsford with her husband Steve and their dog Maddie.
Samantha joined our team in January 2016. When not at the office you can find her instructing fitness classes at Vermont Sport & Fitness Club. In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, pickleball and volunteering.
Debbie obtained her dental hygiene degree from the University of Vermont in 1987. She has been in our practice since 2009. Debbie and her husband, Barry, live in Fair Haven. They have two children, Matt and Jenna
Linda is originally from California and joined our dental team as a hygienist in 1987. Linda's training since joining our team includes achieving certification in Expanded Functions. Linda and her husband, Jim, live in Rutland with their three children, Kelly, Michael, and John.
Francene joined our team in September 2018. She currently resides in Pittsford. Francene and her husband Chris have 3 children (Josie, Colton and Wyatt).In her free time, Francene enjoys gardening and hiking.
Kaitlyn is the newest member of our team. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Vermont Technical College. Kaitlyn grew up in Whiting and currently still resides there with her three German Shepard's. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her family and her boyfriend, getting outside and staying active.
Mary Lou has been a dental assistant for over 30 years. Over 20 of those have been spent with our office! Mary Lou and her husband, Ed, live in Castleton with their three Labradors. In her free time you can find Mary Lou running (she has completed 8 marathons!), instructing Spinning and staying active.
Sharon has been a dental assistant for over 23 years. Sharon lives in Pittsford with her pumpkin-growing husband, Mark. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys baking, gardening, tending to her chickens and walking her dog Olive! She is also quite the car enthusiast with her MGB.
