Dr. Arlene OBrien is a restorative and cosmetic dentist who has spent over 10 years in private practice. Having earned the elite status of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. OBrien has demonstrated her commitment to providing exceptional dental care while participating in continuing education to stay at the forefront of dental advancements.
Dr. John D. Beckwith is an implant dentist with more than 30 years of experience in private dental practice. He is one of the leading dental implant providers in the U.S., having placed thousands of implants over the course of his career. Dr. Beckwith earned his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, after which he continued to a hospital externship program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He also completed a two-year fellowship at the Institute of Growth and Development in Pediatrics. To continually hone his expertise in implantology, Dr. Beckwith regularly attends the Misch International Implant Institute surgical program.
Dr. Beckwith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry, which indicates he has achieved the highest level of competence in the specialty of implantology. To reach this premier status, Dr. Beckwith was required to practice implant dentistry for at least seven years, pass the examination process, and provide patient cases for review. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Arlene OBrien is committed to helping patients achieve good oral health and obtain the smile of their dreams through a wide range of restorative, advanced, and cosmetic dental solutions. She truly cares about her patients well-being, listening closely to their concerns and tailoring treatment to address their unique needs. With over 10 years of dental experience in private practice, Dr. OBrien has advanced skill in the full breadth of general and family dentistry.
Dr. OBrien completed her undergraduate education from Rutgers University, graduating with high honors in psychology and biology. She was then accepted into the BA/DMD joint program through Rutgers University and New Jersey Dental School (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). After earning her DMD, Dr. OBrien trained in a hospital residency at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she remains involved as a resident supervisor for post-doctoral training.
In addition to her foundational dental education, Dr. OBrien completed fellowship training from the Academy of General Dentistrya prestigious program completed by only about 6% of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada. To achieve this status, Dr. OBrien was required to pass a rigorous exam and demonstrate her lifelong dedication to continuing education, completing 500 credit hours of continuing education courses.

Dr. O'Brien of Cornerstone Dental is awesome! The very best dentist I have been treated by. She is gentle, kind, enthusiastic, educates you on what she's doing in a very understandable way, and she's pain-free--which is important for me. Her staff of office manager, Paula; Dental Hygenist, Eva; and, Dental Assistant Devyn, are all committed professionals. The office is super clean and has the latest technologies, it was the first time my teeth were scanned with a 3D visual which Dr. O'Brien had displayed before me. I am so impressed and satified with my experiences (I just had my 4th visit) that I don't mind driving from NY to to get there.

Dr. O'Brien is the best dentist I have ever had! She and her staff are always friendly and provide quality care. I've now convinced my husband, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law to go to Dr. O'Brien as well, and they've had nothing but great experiences too. Highly recommend!

No one should come here, ever! I came here to discuss how to close a gap in my lower teeth. Which somehow lead to me needing to have a tooth pulled. This crazy dentist proceeded to try and pull out my back tooth for over TWO hours, gave me multiple shots of novacane and then sent me home with half of my tooth pulled out. I had to take percosets over the weekend and then get dental surgery to remove the tooth. Oh and I had to pay for all of this.

I've been a patient of Dr. O'Brien for 5+ years and have always been happy with the care received. Before coming to Cornerstone, I was nervous about dental visits but Dr. O'Brien and her staff always make me comfortable. Her hygienist is really gentle with cleanings. Dr. O'Brien also did my Invisalign and I was very happy with the results - only wish I got it done sooner. I'd recommend Dr O'Brien and her practice to anyone!

We are new patients and so glad we made the switch. Dr. O'Brien is fantastic! She made me feel welcome and comfortable and she was great with my children as well. I'm so happy we found this office after a not-so-great experience at a large dental practice previously. Highly recommend!

Dr O'Brien is amazing!! After having numerous experiences with other dental offices not being 100% honest and attempting more work than necessary, my husband and I switched here and could not be happier! Dr. O'Brien is very welcoming and takes the time to explain everything to us and ensure we are all on the same page. We have done cleanings, fillings and more involved procedures and every time have had a great experience! I can even say I think my husbands anxiety over going to the dentist has improved!

I almost don't want to write this review because I want to keep this practice my own little awesome secret! Dr Obrien is amazing. She talks to you, takes her time is super efficient and cares about her patients. Such a rare commodity these days for sure! Paula is a gem and really makes it a great experience each time too. They are the best! I've had a fear of dentists/dental work since I was a child and now I look forward to my appointments. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else!

I am so pleased with Cornorstone Dental , I started with my cleaning there then now I had to do some dental work , what a great staff they have there starting from the receptionist (Paula) then the Hygienist and lastly the most gentle, patient and soft spoken dentist together with her assistant I ever met. I would recommend anyone who does not want to feel pain and gets nervous to see Dr O'Brien , she is absolutely the best . I have no fear going to my dentist now . If you live in that area please go see her.

I have been a patient of Dr. O'Brien at Cornerstone Dental in Hillsborough for a number of years and have always been impressed with the quality of her work and her dedication to working with me to find the best solutions to my many dental issues. So when she recently moved her practice to the new Green Brook facility, I didn't hesitate to follow her there, even though it's farther away. Dr. O'Brien continues to provide excellent expert service, the staff is friendly and efficient and the facility is modern and well equipped. I highly recommend it.
