Dr. John Kuhre has been practicing all phases of general and cosmetic dentistry for over 27 years. He graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School in 1985, graduating fourth in a class of over 150 students. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Kuhre elected to refine and expand his professional skills and knowledge, and was accepted into a General Practice Residency with the United States Air Force Dental Corps, one of the most competitive post-graduate general dental residencies in the country at that time. During his residency, Dr. Kuhre trained and developed proficiency not only in general and cosmetic dentistry, but in most other specialty areas of dentistry, including extensive training and experience in oral surgery.
During his time with the US Air Force Dental Corps, Dr. Kuhre was a member of the 27th Tactical Fighter Squadron Medical Group and served in various leadership and supervisory capacities in the US Air Force Hospital at Cannon AFB in Clovis, New Mexico. He was the Hospital and Dental Clinic Infection Control Officer, the Hospital Oral Surgery In-Patient Supervisor, and the Medical Group Triage Officer. Dr. Kuhre went through many advanced training courses, including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support).
Since leaving the Dental Air Corps in 1991, Dr. Kuhre has been with several large multi-disciplinary Dental Groups, and finally opened the Coppell office, Cornerstone Dental Valley Ranch in 2002. Dr. Kuhre keeps current by constantly renewing his skills and knowledge through frequent attendance at Continuing Education courses in such areas as Infection Control, Dental Implantology, CAD-CAM Restorative Dentistry,Cosmetic Dentistry, and many other phases of contemporary dental practice.

I have been going to Cornerstone Dental for over 10 years. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. Everyone that works there is so nice and helpful. I always am made to feel very comfortable every time I go. The hygienist are very gentle and do a great job. I highly recommend the Cornerstone Dental office. Love everyone there!

I've been going to Dr. Kuhre for almost 10 years and I couldn't be more pleased with the patient care. I unfortunately had to get a filling for the first time today and before the procedure the receptionist made sure I was comfortable in the chair by brining me a warm neck wrap and a heated blanket. Dr. Kuhre made sure I was numb and wouldn't feel any pain throughout the procedure and he did an excellent job. Over the years, he's provided me with retainer repairs by just applying extra bonding to my permanent retainer and also mouth guards, X-rays and cleanings, which are provided by his dental hygienists. My teeth always feel clean and everyone in the office is very nice, helpful and accommodating to your schedule. I love Cornerstone Dental and will always be a customer. Thank you Dr. Kurhe and staff!

Cornerstone Dental in Coppell with Dr. Kuhre and staff are awesome!! Been a patient since 2008 and hope he remains for many years. He has fantastic people skills and is very patient at explaining work that is needed!! Love the fact that he does all major work such as crowns, root canals, extractions and basically anything that you would need!! I highly recommend Cornerstone Dental and Dr. Kuhre!!

I am loving my dentist, my hygienist, and the front staff. They are always very friendly and professional. I have a schedule that changes last minute and was able to get in for my appointments with a quick text message. My hygienist Laura is the best! She is kind, gentle, and listens to me. The dentist is professional and conservative. For the cherry on top, they give me a warm neck wrap to make me feel relaxed every time I go in.
