Solea Sleep is a simple, quick, and comfortable 5 minute laser treatment that provides rapid relief to people who snore. About 80% of people who snore are palatal or mouth snorers, which is snoring caused by the vibration of the soft palate tissue that has relaxed over time. A unique application of Soleas specific wavelength allows the laser to gently and quickly tighten collagen fibers of the soft palate tissue in only one 5 minute session. The tightened soft palate tissue opens the airway and reduces vibrations that cause patients to snore and disrupt sleep.

Dr. Karner and the hygienists did excellent, excellent work in the couple of years we visited the office. However, the billing and business side was an unfortunate anxiety-inducing nightmare. When we moved outside Shelby, that was enough to make us change dentists and find something closer to home and to seek something calmer and more stable. We received multiple bills of hundreds of dollars from Cornerstone that, when we called to inquire about them, we were told were erroneous and to disregard. Additionally, I received a high-pressure sales pitch from the business office for teeth-straightening services totaling thousands of dollars. Every other dentist I've ever had told me I had great teeth, and Dr. Karner told me it was optional and something I could think about. The business office did not treat it that way and said it was something the dentist said I very much needed. Between that and the random bills showing up, we just couldn't see ourselves not making a move at a point. Going to the dentist is already stressful enough. Not knowing what to expect in billing every time makes it even worse. Cornerstone has the latest technology, very skilled dental staff and impressive facilities, but the customer service and business end comes up way too short for me, someone who battles massive anxiety with medical experiences and costs. I've given my review more than a year of thought to allow my experiences to sink in, and two stars is the best I can do.

I have numberous dentist from North Chicago around the U.S. and then in Shelby. They are the most professional group I have had the pleasure of dealing with from the Dentists to the receptionist. GREAT GROUP!

Very professional and friendly and the dental work is just beautiful. They give a lot of education about your dental procedure before during and after care. Thanks Dr Karnal

I went in for a routine check up and had the most amazing experience! From the front desk, hygienist and dentist, they took care and answered every question I had. I had an issue from a previous root canal by dentist in Charlotte and the team at Cornerstone went above and beyond to find the root of my problem and set up with a night guard and treatment and the problem went away! I can't express how happy and impressed I was with them. Also the office is extremely nice and looks brand new! They even gave me an extra tooth brush for my mom. I drive over an hour to see them, because once you find somewhere this good, it's worth the ride.

Do not trust this place! They will lie to you and do poor work in order to get your money. They have an impressive, beautiful facility which makes you think it will be a professional experience. As a patient, you should be able to trust that the staff has your best interest in mind because they are the ones who are knowledgeable about dental care, and patients may not be. Instead, the staff at Cornerstone seem to prey upon the ignorance of their patients. Upon going in for my initial appointment, I was told that I needed a root canal. I wasn't having any trouble with the tooth, but I know how quickly tooth problems can escalate. I figured the procedure was preventative, so I had the work done. I wish I had not because, upon going to my new dentist, they reviewed my x-rays from Cornerstone and saw no reason for a root canal. Furthermore, I have had worsening problems with the tooth ever since the procedure was done a few YEARS ago. To add insult to injury, I was told Cornerstone was in-network with my dental insurance when I specifically asked about it. After the procedure was done and insurance was billed, it turns out they were not. I had 3 family members warn me about this place due to similar issues, and I wish I had listened. I also learned of a coworker who also had a terrible experience as well. BEWARE!

I went in for a cleaning and was told I needed a filling. I went back the following week to get the filling and while filling the tooth the composite? Ended up next to my nerve/root by dentist (Dr. Lauren Williams- Massey). I tried telling her that I felt pain and she dismissed my complaint. I went back the following week only to be seen be another MD who stated that I needed to followup for a root canal. She also said she would send over a antibiotic but when I got to the pharmacy the ABT was never sent. I was in such excruciating pain!!!! I got an appointment with the Endontist who was nice enough to perform my root canal on a Saturday because he too saw that I was in excruciating pain. Not once did I get to speak with Dr Williams because she was always busy or not in the office. This was by far the worst experience and I would advise anyone to go to this practice. They cause damage then dismiss you like you're the problem. As a provider we pledge/oath to do no harm. I'll just say that they didn't stand by the oath. Additionally, if you've made a mistake own up to it and correct it. Patient satisfaction goes a long way!!!! Do better Cornerstone or change the name!!!

This maybe long but if you are afraid of dentist , this is a great place to go. I have been to the same dentist for some time now , over a week ago i started having very bad tooth pain. I put off going to the dentist because i am so terrified of going . I called my former dentist and was not happy with how i was treated . I called cornerstone on Thursday for a second opinion, they fit me in same day . I was with the dentist for over an hour trying to figure out where the tooth pain was coming from. I was treated absolutely wonderful . They treated me no different even though i was so nervous about being there . They found it was probably a bad wisdom tooth that hadn't cut all the way through the gum yet . They gave me the option to come back the next day or call the surgeon. When i called the surgeon they said i would not be able to be seen until January . I called back cornerstone they fit me in Friday for me to have my wisdom tooth out , i called several times that morning and spoke to hope because i was anxious and wanted to make sure i followed instructions. She as so nice , and never seemed bothered . Dr.white and (i think it was Ashley?) were able to get my wisdom tooth out . I was anxious but they were so kind and caring . Some of the kindest medical professional I've ever been around . They were patient and took their time with me . I fully trust their office and I am so happy i found them . Today is Saturday the day after removing the wisdom tooth and i have minor discomfort . I would definitely recommend this office, and Dr.White . They went above and beyond what i could have pictured . Dr. White even called me on a Saturday afternoon to check on me . Such kind and compassionate people .

I would sue this place for negligence if I could. I went in for some fillings late last year and after they were finished I was told I may need a root canal in the near future. I kept experiencing pain where my worst filling was which lasted months after the filling was placed. It became so excruciating I ended up coming back two separate times, explaining that I felt I needed a root canal. I was dismissed both times. I spent months crying myself to sleep only to be told that the pain I was feeling would lessen if I gave it time. It never did. I eventually went to a different dentist who simply tapped my tooth with a pen. I literally screamed. My new dentist had to give me an emergency root canal where I experienced the worst pain I've ever felt in my entire life. No amount of Novocain worked on this dead tooth that the dentists here failed to notice. I guess no one here knows how to read an x-ray properly? To make matters worse, they still call my phone repeatedly, despite radio silence on my end. I will never return here. And I warn everyone who is thinking about going to Cornerstone, not to come here.

Another successful trip to Cornerstone. Dr Karner and her staff do a great job of explaining what is going on while it is going on and go out of their way to make the experience as pain free as possible. Post op was no big deal for my surgery. I would have them work on my whole family. In fact, they already do. They should have a rewards program for repeat customers.

Had an immediate upper denture done here. Had to have 10 adult teeth removed at the same time. The Dr was phenomenal as was her hygienist. I will never go anywhere else!!

During a pandemic, fear is everywhere you choose to embrace it. Today at Cornerstone Dental I had no fear. I was met with a competent staff who cared for my safety while caring for my teeth, which I value... both that is! The staff and the teeth. Thank you staff, and doctors for ensuring protocol and safety. I felt protected and honored.

Everyone is warm, open, and friendly here. They're very intelligent, informative, and so helpful in the planning and progress of what I call my "mouth make-over". Dental care can be a real and serious downer, but they manage to uplift spirits here. I didn't feel rushed through the office either. I really like it.
