Corner Stone Dental is the result of Dr. Wilsons life-long dream to design and build a new state-of-the-art dental facility. Corner Stone Dental is an independent, family-owned dental practice in Swansea, Illinois dedicated to helping patients maintain their overall health by ensuring the health of their teeth, gums, and entire mouth. One of the fundamentals of Corner Stone Dentals philosophy is to build long-term relationships with their patients. This begins by working to understand each individual patients dental needs and providing every patient with convenient, accessible, high quality services at an exceptional value.
Dr. Randall Wilson also utilizes the latest laser technology, which allows small fillings to be placed without drilling or shots! This state-of the-art dental laser can also be used for crown lengthening, periodontal treatment, frenulum release, and cosmetic procedures.
A native of Belleville, Illinois, Dr. Wilson received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. He attended dental school receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1985 from the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, O Fallon Sunrise Rotary Club, Illinois State Dental Society, St. Clair County Dental Society, Midwest Dental Sleep Medicine Study Club, and International Team for Implantology Study Club.
Dr. Wilson and his wife, Dawn, have two children, Ian and Lauren. Lauren is currently enrolled in dental school at Roseman University in Utah and plans to return in 2020 to practice alongside her dad at Corner Stone Dental. Ian just completed his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California with interest in robotics and artificial intelligence. Dr. Wilsons favorite hobby is playing bass guitar with several local bands.
Dr. Banker joined the staff of Corner Stone Dental after 20 years of service as a dental officer in the United States Air Force. His previous education includes a degree in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry.
While active duty in the Air Force, Dr. Banker was selected to attend a Prosthodontic residency sponsored by the Air Force Institute of Technology. He earned a certificate in Prosthodontics and a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Oral Biology from the University of Missouri, School of Dentistry, Truman Medical Center, Kansas City.
Since 2006, Dr. Banker has served as faculty at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, Alton. His teaching responsibilities include supervising dental treatment in the Department of Restorative Dentistry on care, such as, crowns, bridges, partial dentures, full dentures and dental implants. Dr. Banker is also staffing the graduate residences conducting clinical research on dental implants.
He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, prosthodontics.org, the American Dental Association, ada.org, the Illinois State Dental Society, isds.org and the St. Clair County Dental Society.
